It’s not like he spent years of his life restoring something and someone wrecked it. He spent money buying the car, spent more money having someone else make it the way he wanted then bapped it. If you are making a car with that pricetag you'd better make it safe ! 😁 But I never doubted that, most of the secure technology on our "ordinary" cars where developped by high end brand engineers and racing cars. ABS, airbags, ... and so much more, so we can state that these cars are safe.
The foot pump would have worked just fine. In fact, it will pump that tire up much faster than the ridiculous cigarette lighter compressor. I know, because I own both. I use a bicycle pump to maintain the tire pressures in my cars that sit around for extended lengths of time. I don't feel like putting insurance on them to drive them to the gas station from Lions Bay, so I just pump the tires up with a bicycle pump. Works great.....
Down here in Texas guys work on cars all the damn time in front of auto parts stores. Hell I’ve even seen the employees helping. Ain’t no big deal down south.

The guy that clipped his rear corner was not paying attention to the Rd, turned his head to look at the merce, and unknowingly turned the wheel the direction he was looking....happens in racing and drag racing all the time
Unless the Murci was going extremely fast, someone clipping your rear corner does not make you cross three lanes and end up on the curb across the street. He was racing.
Can totally relate to the situation that led to this crash. I don’t have a car anywhere near the caliber or attention drawing power of an exotic but I do drive a performance car that stands out. I have my fun as much as the next guy when I drive but most of the time I drive very chill and I’ve lost count how many times I get “challenged” in this same fashion Brian did by (typically) young guys in other modded cars or factory performance cars. I’ve had close calls here and there from these people who drive really stupid behind the wheel of cars that are beyond their capabilities in areas where even if your capable is a piss poor choice due to the danger you impose on others around you. Glad to see he came away unscathed. Of course it’s a shame what happened to his pride and joy but with time and patience he can get another car

Only time I ever had fix a flat work, I sprayed all 6 cans I had into the tire. Not knowing they can’t repair the tire after spraying any of that shit into the tire, so glad I sprayed enough to get it to work.
