LOVE Jessica Chastain, so this isn't a criticism of her. But I do wish Harper's Bazaar pointed out that she's a paid ambassador for True Botanicals. She has a contract with them. So this is essentially an advert.
Thank you for saying this! I googled one of the products and found that she had just been appointed as an ambassador. I thought that people needed to say when they had a vested interest in a product. Disappointing that the video isn't completely transparent about it.
but if she does truly use them on a day to day, whats the harm? as a consumer, it's also our due diligence to make our own informed decisions and what's best for our beauty and skin :) she did also mention she was vegan, which true botanicals might also align with her core values.
Once she mentioned her third TB product I had to Google and see if she was a brand ambassador lol. I agree with you. I'm a fan of Ms. Chastain, but they really should disclose her contract with them.
I adore her, but I'm sick of the "clean & natural" product schtick coming from so many people. It's primarily just a marketing tool & all reputable skincare is made in a lab. ETA: what I’m referring to is when people use the words “clean & natural” to mean better. everyone’s skin is different & can tolerate different ingredients. a lot of ingredients labeled as “natural” wreak havoc on my skin, but there’s other synthetic ingredients I won’t use either. it’s all preference, tolerance, & price point too!
I can't really fault her personally, it's just a lack of education. She's not a skincare expert, she's an actress. :) I agree, so adore her regardless.
She's also an ambassador for this brand. So of course she had to plug in all the selling BS they told her to say. I'm right there with you! It's all for marketing and money making! Just like electric vehicles! They're marketed as "saving the planet", but! The amount of fracking and mining for this veg I is far worse than fuel any day! But people keep willingly swallowing the spoon fed propaganda and rhetoric!
Not true I use natural oils to cleanse and moisturize and it’s the best skincare I use. I use Best Skin Ever Seabuckthorn cleanser, and also use it to moisturize. Best product I use on my skin. 100 percent natural.
I disagree on this. We're finding that some synthetics act as endocrine disruptors. For example, if you're trying to get pregnant or freeze your eggs, some doctors will recommend skipping some skincare ingredients
Her beauty truly jumps out once she removes the heavier makeup! Then she seems super ethereal and radiant. Don't want to be that person that says she looks better without makeup though. She looks amazing both ways!!!
I disagree. Beauty is enhanced by make up. Wearing no make up all the time is not something we should promote, I am sorry. Anything -- a little eyeliner, a lipstick, anything at all is important to wear. Nobody needs to be "natural" all the time. It's ridiculous and careless
@@alina3254 Makeup can definitely enhance your features and I am not saying everyone should be natural all the time. You don't need to be but you can be if you want to. You do not need to wear makeup. Someone should wear or not wear whatever they want. When I look at this video I just find Jessica incredibly beautiful when she takes of her makeup and I wanted to share that. I mean that in a positive way. I think there exists quite some pressure for women to wear makeup so this idea that you look good naturally is a positive counterargument to that. I do recognize however that this idea has possible negative implications. Wearing makeup is not a bad thing; not everybody has clear skin and naturally striking eyes or whatever, and makeup can really help to make someone more confident. I wear some makeup everyday myself and feel prettier with it.
i'm 4 seconds in and i had to pause and praise her for being the first celebrity (by my recollection) who looks down the barrel of the lens instead of at themselves the in the viewfinder! finally! i've been waiting for this my whole life lol
I am so pleased she tied her hair up, the number of women on 'Go to bed with me' who have their hair out and the cleanser and what not getting in their hair is too much.
Jessica Chastain is a natural beauty! It's inspiring to learn about Jessica's priority for clean, quality, and plant based products. I have always loved her films and I am so excited to try out her signature night time routine.
So nice to have such beautiful person in your videos that is actually Vegan and do care for the planet. This is super important to show to people in general that Vegans have beautiful skin and, there's a lot of clean products out there without doing any harm to animals or to the planet. Jessica is such a goddess and a total inspiration! Thank you for sharing this content
I love that she still looks the same without the makeup. I love seeing her use the same products on her neck and hands. I would watch again! Now I want to try melatonin lotion for night time 😅
This just made me love her even if she does work with True Botanicals. She's gorgeous and seems to have such a lovely demeanor. Her skin looks incredible! I would love to know what kind of treatments and stuff she gets done.
For years woman have been chasing the fountain of youth and while it may put off the inevitable your still going to age no matter how good the products are!!!But if this makes Jessica and other women feel better about themselves more power to you!!!Peace and Love to Roy ❤

Also, "natural" isn't always better for skin, fragrant essential oils are natural and they are not good for skin, in fact they irritate skin more than synthetic fragrances.

Ahhhhh Jessica I’ve been waiting for this for years, but as soon as I saw her instagram post for true botanicals I knew what this was going to be 😢 First of, good for her. Her and I have the same hair colour, both very dry skin and a similar skin tone although I am paler (Irish). I was really excited to know what products she uses but I don’t think she’s always used true botanicals. I would DIE to know if she has hair extensions or not, also I would love to know what SPF she uses. I also don’t think foundation matters so long as you’re removing your makeup properly. So overall, love Jessica but this was disappointing.
