Thanks for all the information you gave in this video. I have a question I put a primer base coat on an epoxy primer but I'm not sure how long do I have to wait before putting the metallic epoxy coat, is it OK if I wait for 24 hours!!?

Yes usually one day is fine. You want the surface to feel dry or very slightly sticky

Hey, I bought Rustoleum epoxy shield in gray for my garage but I want the gray to be darker, do you think it’s possible to mix in more color into the epoxy to and make it darker? I’m trying to get more of a “gunmetal gray” look. Let me know your thoughts.

Yes you can make it darker just make sure that the pigment you use is compatible to Rustoleum epoxy. For example for solvent based epoxies I prefer to use black coloring powder to make the epoxy darker grey. The ones used for coloring cement tend to work well

I want to renovate an old kitchen counter top with an old tiles, can I apply this self leveling epoxy ?

The main problem with self leveling is that because of the thickness the product will flow which means it will start dripping left and right if you put it on a countertop. You would need to build a frame around it first, before applying the epoxy

Hello sir, I'm hoping you might be able to help me. I'm testing out a polyurethane coating but not for use with floors. I just have a couple questions I hope you can provide some info on. The reason I'm testing this type of coating is claim of chemical resistance. I'm finding that with the company I ordered from they may not have fully understood me or just wanted to make a sale who knows but can you confirm or not that polyurethane coating have any resistance to solvents like acetone or rubbing alcohol? If not, are you aware of any coatings that can be brushed on to the desired surface that have resistance to solvents? I watched your video about epoxy vs polyurethane but just wanted to clarify this one thing in particular. Thank you :)

Both epoxy and polyurethane will show some loss of gloss or color intensity when exposed to solvents. This is the case for all types of coatings. I do not expect them to shrivel or break just a gradual corrosion of the surface if exposed for a prolonged period.
