I don't know why y'all don't like it, it sounds a hell of a lot better. Straight pipes and I4s don't mesh.
R18s with a muffler and resonator delete sound good nice and deep and not to raspy

No 4banger on earth sounds good with straight pipes and I would know, as someone who races for a living I've heard some horrible 4bangers wiz by and my turbo full exhaust highflo cat and single bullet muffler k20 swapped Miata sounds great, far better than straight piped 4 cylinder and v6 cars.

Quality over quantity. That straight pipe is absolutely trash sounding. The skunk2 sounds miles better and he would probably get the sound he's looking for if he ditched the CAT on the car. Either way that is one of the cleanest Preludes I've seen in a very long time and I want it lol
Plus when they built the straight pipe exhaust, couldn’t they get the pipe centred under the car. It was pushed off to the drivers side because the bend going to the passenger side was too long. These guys are butchers.

Straight pipe sounded horrible, nothing but noise. Skunk2 was much better, perhaps cutting the resonator off would off would enhance the sound a bit. But at least it sounds much better the second way.
Hondas need a resonator up close near the cat to ensure no rasp. Muffler is optional at that point depending on how much sound you want.
That thing is in great shape for its age. Kudos to the owner. Straight pipe was better, maybe swap in a small resonator to clean up the sound.

Muffler only would have probably made him happier... Straight pipe was intolerable, but with a little tone I could dig it.

Str8 pipes sound better on idling while Skunk2 is better during revs.
All he needed was a vibrant ultra quiet or vibrant resonator and it would've been good without rasp on the straight pipe.
These cars should have been rwd. Its a shame hondas only rwd car is the s2000, theyre missing out on a huge market big time

The skunk2 muffler alone sounds great and I've got a few on a couple cars the problem is that silly resonator, remove the resonator and it will sound way better than with it and sounds far better than straight piped. I don't care what anyone says but any naturally aspirated 4 banger sounds like absolute garbage straight piped period. Only v8's and a handful of v6's sound good straight piped but no 4banger on earth sounds good without a muffler, i would know ive had several cars and trucks straight piped and Honda's, cavalier's, s10 and rangers sound like trash. A bullet muffler sounds far better on those 4banger vehicles.

If he doesn’t like it I would remove the resonator and leave the muffler. It’ll make it a little bit louder without sound like an anger wasp nest like it did straight piped.

Leave the new mid muffler put the old dual tip back on. Louder but not as quiet.

It'll break in and get louder. They're all quiet when you first install them.
Remove the resonator. Gotta have a muffler though. Not a fan of that high weedeater sound in the higher rpm’s IMO.

1. Skunk2 doesn’t make a H22 Header.
2. H22s sound best with a quality resonator and/or a turbo. Cats really quite them down.
