@@chrisb012 the one i am using is rhodium plated 146,fine nib. I even sent it to MB for repair, found a slight improvement afterwards. Still not satisfied. The pelikan m205 & pilot metropolitan is far better than my mb146. Yeah, currently i inked with pilot ama iro ink.
@@paulasmith3577 if you bought it from the boutique, they will service it for free within a year. Otherwise you can pay for it. If that is not what you want, try cleaning it just with water. If it were cartridge type then you can use a little bit of detergent because there is no grease applied but for the piston type like 149, you might wanna just use water.

Lovely pen. Personally, I went for the 146, found the size 9 nib a bit too big for me. The 146 is my daily writer.

149 has a #8 nib
@@subhadipmaji4987 suggest you check your facts. A quick search would show it’s a #9 nib. My 146 has a #6 nib.

write too small... dont see the perfomance properly.
Ink capacity is wrong . About 1.3ml ink it holds
