Hi Scott, A other great update on the pond and fish tank I have got my grow on at 24 degrees and they are growing like mad so I would try 24 degrees and see how they go mate. Steve
@@scotthendersonKoiAndHawks Looks like a very bulked up system to handle the load. Should get some great growth in there. I would have never thought of doing it that way. Just genius. Wishing you much success. 👍
Hi Scott, the under gravel filter is meant to work the other way, small airstones in bottom of side tubes send the water up, pulling water down through the gravel, but with Koi it will only trap all the muck, if I were you I would take it out and have a clean bottom, if you check my channel you will see an Ocheba that I had as a less than 1cm fry and I have grown it to 33cm in a 50 gallon tank😀 so it can be done, 24 degrees C, daily water changes and lots of food, but watch your water parameters, you may need a bigger canister filter, anyway, good luck, best wishes, Tony, Farmoor Koi😀
Thank you some great info there Tony ill definitely take that on board. The filter I have there they sell a booster for it wich is just sponges and I fill the other with just bio media would that be better ?
Nice one pal. They’ll put some growth on in there. Just watch that water!😊
Fingers crossed mate. I've ordered the filer booster and water changes every couple of days 👍

Thanks Steve I'll try that 👍
It was fun watching you set that up. I'm wondering how that will filter that way. Will be interesting to watch the progress updates. Beautiful Koi.
Thank you I definitely keep updating on this
