I edit with FCPX. I was searching the internet, does FCPX not come with an automatic caption generation feature? If not, what are people doing to produce those captions? I'm not into writing them by hand...haha

Vertical videos drive me insane. That’s not how our eyes see the world. Hold your hands out to your peripheral vision up and down and you’ll find out why they made screens 16:9 ratio. Seems it’s a trend made for lazy phone viewers who find it inconvenient to turn their phone 90 degrees. App manufacturers trying to make it cool, new and trendy. Our kids will look back at this trend one day and wonder “what we’re they thinking?“ What a waste of screen space when viewing horizontally like on a tv or iPad screen.
Great stuff - you can also bring in the entire 16-9 sequence into the vertical timeline, and do your trimming there. Saves a little time copying and pasting from one to the other.

I created the new Sequence and used my recreated Vertical Preset. I then Copy\Paste in my footage. Naturally I had the big black box on the top and bottom. I Duplicated that on the timeline BUT my Black Boxes at the top and bottom are still there. I played with the Opaqueness but they are still there?? How do I make them disappear so that my blurry video in the back touches the top & bottom edges??

Mad respect for everyone that is a content creator. This looks so tedious. Ive always wanted to be a creator but dread the editing. I watch videos but thats about it. It seems complicated to me and discouraging.
Yes editing is a very critical process. But one has to have passion. Otherwise it becomes a burden. There are many other online tools you can try. I am a professional premiere pro editor but still use many online tools as well.

Thanks for the video but "you can do this with any software" yet everything of note requires Premiere Pro. I was hoping for more variety. The auto-captions, the auto cutting, etc all need Premiere Pro based on this tutorial. I would rather see these kinds of videos either claim its for Premiere Pro or show more than one piece of software doing it.

Hey Omar, I am using Adobe Premiere 2020 and i don't find any text option in window toolbar. Any idea which version of Adobe has this transcription function. ?
To upload for windows: I usually put it on an SD card and then use a SD to lightning adapter.. the faster the card the faster the import export from PC to card and card to camera roll though "files".

If your video can be square, make it square (eg 1080x1080) and not vertical with blurry duplicate background or whatnot. It will translate into shorts feed and will look glorious on SmartTVs.
