Anna was so vulnerable in this film. I was so touched by her honesty and realness. It almost felt like a coffee chat with a friend. I’m so impressed with the honesty, she’s going to reach so many woman. Thanks queen!
alex is actually a great interviewer. i learned so much about anna and her story and movie. alex was personable but didnt make it about her and asked interesting questions
I saw all the comments about the background changing early in the video and I was really curious to what it was gin to look like…I was not expecting that!! AHAHAH I love it! It’s hilarious 😂
Omg my abusive narcissist ex used to say ''you're always ruining everything'' too!! They don't like when their world view is challenged...they are the main and only character in their lives
I had a "best friend" like this too whenever I had an issue to bring up to him, I was personally harming him. He made it so I couldn't bring up anything without feeling massive shame for hurting him. I still feel awful for ending the friendship sometimes and like I was the bad guy.
Thankfully ı was never in an abusive relationship but i worked once with a manipulative narcissistic person he was a nightmare always acting like am the angry crazy one whenever I react to his behavior.. We were three in an office he would isolate me and make me feel like the outcast.. Likely him and the other person where let go in an humiliating way in the end.. And even though that made me so happy and felt good to tell everyone I told u so but I really feel like I cant let go and am angry.. I cant imagine how it is to be in a relationship with such a person .. My heart goes to all the abused victims of such toxic people
I am really enjoying this interview. The images in the background that weren't sparks of light or snow falling or something non-relations -- which were awesome-- that had people in them made the imagery distracting while the host and guest talked about abusive relationships. Sometimes, the woman, but mostly the men, were difficult images because my inner self was empathizing with Ms. Kendrick and her character in Alice Darling. It was a weird resonance. Disconcerting.
The background stock footage should have been just a black background. It’s so irritating and the interview is so interesting and entertaining. ❤ Kinda sad that I’m so distracted by it. 😢
Thank you so much for posting this! I've literally just watched this is on Spotify but there's no way to download Spotify videos and save them to usb. So thanks a lot! 👍☺
You think things change overnight but they actually don't. I was convinced I was in a healthy relationship and in the last year of my 4 year relationship, I really started to see the narcissistic facade come apart. But the signs were always there, they were so carefully hidden that I didn't see them until I was already enmeshed in the trauma bond. Narcissists (or abusers) don't flip a switch overnight. It's a matter of how long they're able to keep the ruse up before you start REALLY noticing the abuse. I'm still in denial I was abused, but I was.
Yes. You stop believing the future fakes and notice the patterns that were always there. You give so much benefit of the doubt until you just can't anymore.
She could've lost the facade and became more controlling and abusive her acting jobs dried up. A man can be only stoic for so long until they break. She already admitted to crying and terrorizing him
Wow I agree! I met Kristen Stewart in real life and she was so sweet and gorgeous! I could hardly speak lol but she was so cool, gave me a hug and danced together, she is awesome! It felt like a dream
i re-wet my hair everyday to refresh mine! just a little though, i don’t fully soak it just put enough water to put a little more product and styling cream so when i scrunch it it looks fresh! it always works and always makes your curls look like they’re first day hair!
I personally only comb my hair when I wash it and I only do that once every 2 days. But also every hair is different, so that may not work for you. It's trial and error, really.
Hey everybody, i'm new to this podcast, this is my first episode. Can I ask what's going on with the funky bluescreen-esque background scene changes? Is this normal??
Wow, I think I never heard someone saying "I was the first one in my family that didn't go to collage", I was the first one on my family that went to collage. 😮
This background change is so unprofessional and distracting. Why did they choose these videos??? Could it have not just been a still background like it’s not that hard.

So ex suddenly changes after 7 years. You can read between the lines there. The intimacy must have stopped as she got more successful. The ex took it as a sign she didn’t love him and became abusive. Then they went to therapy but too little too late.
They started dating in 2014 (or thereabouts) & Anna was already a huge star by then. If you listen to the Armchair Expert podcast, she tells of him having an affair with some other girl he had strong feelings for but she rejected him.
I'd say the opposite. She's a known workaholic. But after the PP series she has acted a lot less. Which meant she was at home longer and likely noticed her boyfriend leaving the house more often. She already admitted to yelling and crying, and feeling like she was terrorizing him. Once he was fed up and yelled back she suddenly claimed victimhood. Girls like her are HPD af
What the hell is with the crappy stock footage in the background and the really annoying transitions? It detracts from the interview so much. Please don't do it. Yuch.

Why is no one talking about the background changing to weird stock footage? I'm so perplexed
Thank god … I thought I was hallucinating 😅
I thought my meds hit me funny!!! xD It doesn't go with what they're talking about AT ALL so I thought it was a mistake?? like a glitch lol
It's so distracting cause I actually WATCH podcasts. Welp, the first 25 min were nice
thank god i thought it was just me
it's a copyright thing.
I’m jealous of how well spoken Anna Kendrick is. If I tried to speak that fast, I’d be stumbling over my words every second 😅
never seen her not on screen and she is just as amazing in real life. she is very articulate and self aware. refreshing
SHE IS AN AMAZING DIRECTOR and actor. I was so happy to see her directing

I am a trauma and abuse recovery practitioner and the confusion of emotional/narc abuse is the most dangerous part.

Omg omg I Love Anna Kendrick 🫶🏻❤️ and would die for another Pitch Perfect
i swear rebel already confirmed it was happening

Wow Anna did absolutely amazing talking about domestic violence. She’s amazing and I think every women should hear this

God I still think about Anna's performance in A Simple Favor. That entire cast was a triumph but she and lively especially, my God
Anna is so so smart. I'm in awe of her wisdom and eloquence.

The background reminds me of the screensaver of windows computer. I like it
I get it, curly girly here. Wtf are we supposed to do with 2nd day curls?? Can't brush it, can't go cave man. Someone teach me.
Am I the only one who loves my curly hair😭😭 I've literally never wanted it to be flat. Just use some hair mousse for curly hair, it's a banger 💅
i re-wet my hair everyday to refresh mine! just a little though, i don’t fully soak it just put enough water to put a little more product and styling cream so when i scrunch it it looks fresh! it always works and always makes your curls look like they’re first day hair!
You wet it every day. Don’t wash it… either scrub with conditioner or with nothing, but at a minimum you must wet it in your daily shower.
There’s no such thing as “2nd day curls”.
I personally only comb my hair when I wash it and I only do that once every 2 days. But also every hair is different, so that may not work for you. It's trial and error, really.
Anna Kendrick doesn’t age
Her newest movie woman of the hour is soo good ! ❤ I love chapstick but I love Anna more 😂
Anna’s very first movie role she had gorgeous wild curly hair so I always wondered why she straightened it
"I feel like if someone has chapped lips they also have bad breath" ~frantically searches for chapstick~
“Oh my god, they’re velociraptors!” 🤭😅🤣😭🫠

Of course mint is the easiest thing to grow to as long as you water it in the beginning lol
I always have pomegranate berts bees lol always it’s the best

Lmao what a dumb theory
The background sucks no offense, but I don't like it at all
I hate it so CREEPY. Talking about dating and her past then all of a sudden a man trying to kiss her 🤬

The background thing is just wrong!!! Gross 😝
Is this the female version of an Andrew Tate style podcast? 😂
This conversation feels shadow. Not on Anna's end, "Why was this booked?" vibes.
