  • The Arbor Coda Camber is one of those boards that once you get on it you feel like you've ridden it a hundred days. It's the true definition of an all mountain freestyle board and as such it makes it a quiver of one type of deck.

    How does the Coda differ from the shiloh in regards to terrain ride, flex and overall feel. I notice on Arbors new 2022 catalog they have different cores but the same flex rating and the coda does seem to be more of a quiver than the Shiloh from Arbors Terrain Guide score. I'm not sure what that translates to though.

    Lol, classic "Selective Attention Test" with the floating head walking through. Angry, you've got the best snowboard reviews at the moment, hands down (and have done from your website for a while). Would you consider dropping in a short clip of some of the main areas you normally talk about (Euro, Flex, Press, Pop etc). Still using the green screen format and drop it in the top left or right. Just a thought, like what you're doing any.

      We'll see, it's always an evolving process. These reviews were not done the way we wanted to, we lost 2 hard drives of footage, I personally got a concussion, then got eye surgery, had one camera blow up, and then some other shit to deal with.

    First off, I love the unbiased and real world reviews. I need your help deciding as I went with your feedback years back with the Westmark. I got 2014 156 Westmark rocker, and loved it. Then in 2018 I got the 154mw Westmark rocker. The 154mw floats easily through powder (way better than my 156)when I go off piste and in the trees. 2022 I got Bataleon Boss and it does not float anything like the 154 mw Westmark rocker. The Bataleon boss also washes out on hard carves and does not float very well, so I found myself riding my Westmark in the Rockies/big mountains.
    Now my question, I’m going to grab an Arbor Coda(also based on your previous reviews). I’d say I’m intermediate to expert rider that loves to ride all over the mountain and also go searching for powder, away from the crowds. Will the Coda Camber still float nicely on powder, without having to set stance way back? On my current 154mw Westmark I don’t need to worry about where my rear binding is set, as it floats like a dream. If the Coda Camber floats almost as good, I will grab it. I have no issues carving hard on the Westmark rocker, but was just trying to get something a tad different. That, and I can get a better deal on the Camber.
    What would you suggest? Floating on pow in the trees, would be my biggest necessity, before carving on hard packed snow/groomers I’d say. So looking for balance on my next board(which is going to be the Coda).

      The reverse will float better as you're not fighting the load of the camber to keep the tip up. The nice thing about the Coda is the cutouts in the tips help funnel snow out. But if anything slam your stance back on the Coda on a pow day and move it forward on a groomer day.

      @@AngrySnowboarder awesome! Thanks for the Ultra fast and great advice/opinion! I’m going to order the Camber version now! 😁

    Hello, thanks for the review. I'm choosing between Nidecker Rave and Arbor Coda camber, can you help me please? Which is better for riding the groomer hard and sometimes go to the powder? No park or jumping.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  5 років тому +1

      Probably the Coda Camber will be better. It's a bit stiffer.

      @@AngrySnowboarder so the Coda. Thank you!

    hows this board compared to the bataleon evil twin? I have the evil twin and it sounds similar with the washing out during hard carves, and the flex of the board does not do well in the rutted terrain

      Stiffer, has more pop, steers more from under foot.

    Hi, need help, I'm from other side of world and i have a chance to buy only 162 regular coda rocker, but my shoese are size of 12. To buy rocker or to pass it?

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  6 років тому

      That's probably not going to work out for you. I'd pass.

    Hey angry snowboarder love your reviews and top 5’s lmao 😂 I’m now in the rad dad dept and I at least get some solo time at the hills. Was wondering what would be better overall for east coast garbage ice/chunder? I currently have a gnu space case (17’) and done with the park biz. I’m hunting for pow or hard carves any chance I get. Go camber or rocker?!?! Decisions decisions. I know I’ll go 160 MW just cant decide camber or rocker! We’re not worthy! help!

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 роки тому +1

      I'd go camber since you're east coast.

      @@AngrySnowboarder Thanks for confirming my suspicions! Your're reviews are great and spot on honest! Love em. Last thing would you suggest this or the iguch (heard the iguchi is more damp and stable)? any other suggestions? I was looking at the yes typo, and the jones twin/frontier's also. Like I said more looking for carving, pow/trees, the odd natural feature jump.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 роки тому +1

      So the thing with the Iguchi is it's just a Coda that's more directional. I'd say ideally what you're looking for is maybe a Yes Optimistic and if that's too stiff for you then The Y or a Flagship from Jones.

    What bataleon board would you say would be the most similar to the Coda camber , or do they feel like to comoletely diff rides?

    Angry Snowboarder, I really want a Coda but I can't decide which one to get. Would you recommend the Rocker over the Camber to a beginner going on intermediate rider?

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  6 років тому +1

      Definitely go rocker.

    • @Bishbashboshboshbosh
      @Bishbashboshboshbosh 6 років тому

      Wow, thanks for the swift reply. Sorry, one more question, do you recommend the rocker because the camber would be too catchy for a beginner? I ask because I'm probably more of an intermediate and I really want to get good at carving and jumping. I'm looking for a board that's really going to help me progress to that level.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  6 років тому +2

      So here's the big thing. Camber is better for carving hands down, but it's not going to be forgiving as you progress and will be more demanding. Not a bad thing at all, just requires more attention to detail. Now with that said if you really want to get good at carving, get camber, but if you're lying to yourself and just want to be a bit lazy then get the rocker.

      @@AngrySnowboarder Hi, I bought the Coda Camber on your advice and it has so far proved to be spot on. Most importantly it handles chunder at speed well, unlike my previous rocker board. That's all I needed. Its definitely going to help me progress. Thanks!
