    Always wondered what the person looked like that voiced a lot of these videos. Fun to see him behind a desk.

    I absolutely adore this channel. These videos take me back to my childhood when I would walk into my classroom and see that beautiful projector. I loved watching those films with the great sounding narrator. I can’t seem to get enough of these films.

    Good timing on these health videos. I know they are not up to date, but still fun to watch.

    We were more prepared then than we are now.

    I went to elementary school in Massachusetts in the early 70’s and it was your typical brick 4 story structure. In the basement there was a room loaded with this kind of stuff.
    I was just a kid but I remember cans of water, hundreds of cases of different types of supplies including food and dosimeters etc.....they all had civil defense insignia on them. When I say cans of water, they were like 50 gallon barrels all stacked on one another.
    The town hall had a room just like it which was another fallout shelter due to its size and construct type of brick and mortar.
    I’d like to know where that stuff ended up.

    Timely, and somewhat useful in a prepper's arsenal of ideas...

    Okay reusable needles... oh hell NO! My e
    Elementary school had a emergency water tank, a generator and a autoclave. They were still there in the 1990's. They had been built in to the building, along with a out dated commercial laundry facility. They will likely only be removed if they ever raise the building.

      Ever have a dental filling? They gave you a local anesthetic before drilling. Those are reused syringes.

    The American Red Cross in california, was still telling us that these pdh has existed, as late as 1993. Yet according to our own internal records at the American Red Cross the only pdh that was complete and deployed to the San Francisco Bay Area had been disposed of in 1997. And other than random stockpiles that were in basements of government buildings around the bay area, there was no Central Supply of civil defense. And with the ending of the civil defense program in 1996. The National stockpile that was located in most counties, would not be replenished. And would either just languish until the room was needed for storage and then disposed of or disposed of or giving away. Sad because some of this material that wasn't storage I had a much longer shelf life than the government ever expected. Certain things did go bad, the Polaroid x-ray film I'm sure the antibiotics would have been almost completely ineffective the phenobarbital and morphine were probably stolen and the gas cylinders containing oxygen and nitrous oxide had long since leaked. But the basic bandages cots tools instruments, could have still been stored and used in an emergency. But the cost of doing so I'm sure was prohibitive. But still an amazing effort by our government that they were able to create a hospital in a box.

    now several months later in june we are dealing with ethnic unrest. and as i watch this video from the 50/60s i see quite the diversity. not what you would expect hearing how there was so little of it during those times.

      The racial tension is a typical divide and conquer strategy used by the leaders to do their dirty work for them. It is in fact NON EXISTENT. Don't watch the news, it's all lies and propaganda.

    PDH - what does that mean? Perhaps "Packaged Disaster Hospital"? (according to Google search)

    Stay the fuck at home unless you’re getting food or medicine. Keep yourself out of the hospitals, they’re already overwhelmed. My cousin’s husband is a doctor and they’re ALREADY running out of face masks at all area hospitals.

    • @user39h2j8il
      @user39h2j8il 2 роки тому

      Fortunately facemasks are useless so the lack thereof will not play a part in protecting one from a virus so minute that a billion of them can be piled up in the aperture of one tiny hole in said mask.
