More or less, but the selection is rather more limited these days, basically the same few designs with various flavors of movie/tv/pop culture skins painted on them. At least when this was made, there was a good variety of trains and accessories, the emphasis was more on fun.
Lionel should defintiely bring back the video catalog as a UA-cam video series. It's one thing to see pictures of all the upcoming products, but it's another to see them all in action. The Lousiville and Nashville Express set was never sold, which is a shame because I kinda want it. Even in the 90s, Lionel had accurate S2 turbine sounds. MTH's first S2 turbine had the chuffing sound which was inaccurate since this engine had a turbine instead of cylinders
The 90s definitely were a great decade for model railroading. I think if it wasn’t for their competitors, Lionel probably wouldn’t of made the move for more realistic trains. For the longest time, I thought I would only buy Lionel stuff, but after discovering stuff from Right of Way, MTH, and Weaver, I’ve changed my mind. Also apparently Richard Kughn and Bill Benson were in a race to see who can make the Shay first. Lionel won.
Back when Lionel still made toy trains. These days they're hung up on $1000+ scale items and Built to Order.
They still make toy trains in various size and price ranges with Lion Chief remote control.

@@Shipwright1918 0-8-0 in almost EVERY SET, half the traditional stuff being brand stuff, and more of it being Christmas.

Wow! Another TM classic. Perfect fit for the Original 1992 Toy Train Revue 3 DVD Bonus Feature. Amazing!
Well worth watching ! Especially for us 'not so young guys' who ran trains in the 80's and 90's.
Since I didn't tell you yet, I got to meet Tom McComas at the I Love Toy Trains Store last year!
I got to meet him too last year at his store as well. Such a great guy.
I got this on vhs! Thanks for uploading
You are very welcome.
Excellent catalog
2:05 Hey! This music was also used in I Love Toy Trains.
I think the extended version of the scale Hudson commercial should go great in the next version of TM's Original 1991 Toy Train Revue 1 DVD.
Now you just need to do the 1991 video catalog
I wish they would make a dvd of this.
Me too. It would make an excellent bonus program on DVD.
Jeff Smith? I thought it sounded like Morgan Freeman narrating. XD
I knew to myself that Morgan Freeman wouldn't have ties to TM Books & Video anyway.
Did they ever make a video for 1993?
No, but they did do a few segments for Lionel 1993 on Toy Train Revue 6 and 7.
Why do you think TM only made two video catalogs Nikolas?
They likely didn't have time to do more since they were busy making the Toy Train Revue videos.
