Absolutely. We are all in this hobby together!!! I'm happy I'm able to share these memories with everyone!!! Thank you for the support!!! Happy Railroading!!!!
It was a blast!! This was my first LCCA Convention and it was such a great time!! I'm definitely going to try and attend next year!!! Happy Railroading!!!
I still have my childhood Lionel's. These are from 1957 to 1963. Both my parents and grandmother bought me a bunch! Most are still in boxes. I took really good care of them. They are packed away but I believe that I have 3 diesel and about 5 steam locomotives. Perhaps as many as 100 pieces of rolling stock. Bunch of track, switches and signals etc. I probably could not afford to replace them now. LOL.
Hi Will, This is my first time watching your videos. Today alone I saw 8 of your videos Including the 2023 LCCA Convention in Concord. My Favorite video so far was the Lionel HQ and Warehouse, The Trading Hall and The Lionel Train Store. I hope they bring a Lionel Store to St. Louis, MO. The Mall is Called The Galleria Mall in Brentwood, MO inside the St. Louis County Line. Will I feel kinda sad about Lionel, I think and this is my Honest Opinion and I will always be a Loyal person to Lionel. I've been a Loyal Customer with Lionel since my Parents got my first Train Set for Christmas 1961. I still have the Train Set a Steam Engine and four Freight Cars with a Caboose, but unfortunately since I didn't know about keeping the boxes as best as possible. Anyway the reason I'm kinda sad about Lionel is because since Neal Young came onboard, everything about Lionel it's products and what it means to be a Kid again went out the window. What I mean Is the price for the Locomotives, Freight and Passenger Cars, Sets and Accessories started to Increase In price tremendously. Now Low middle class Families and under won't be able to enjoy Lionel Trains because they can't afford It and the Company sent everything over to China. The Quality has gone down yet the prices continues to go up and the Collectors are taking over. Lastly I think they call It Supply and Demand. Isn't there anything that can be done so Families can afford to build a new Generation of Lionel Fans to go back in time to watch Lionel Grow The Right Way. I'm Sorry This Turned Out To Be A Long Letter. Please Forgive Me Thank You For Your Time Sincerely Allan Martinez
Thank you so much for the support Allan! Wow 8 videos!! Seriously thank you so much!! The Lionel HQ tour was truly amazing experience! This trip taught me a lot about the company that I wanted to talk about with you. For the longest time I was a postwar collector and operator. That was until I met my best friend in the hobby Leapin Larry! He introduced me into Legacy operations and it was the best thing for me. Overl the years, yes I can agree there have been sometimes where my products arrived damaged or noy 100%. However, I will say Lionel's customer service is one of the best Ive ever worked with. Being able to talk to someone about whatever issue you have and being helped really is a great thing. I think its definitely improved recently! About the overall pricing of the trains, we all see them go up. Of course this is upsetting but like all products Lionel needs to make a profit in order to keep providing amazing train memories for thousands of people. I have a great friend of mine who recently purchased 2x Lion Chief sets and a ready to run set for their kids and they love them! What Lionel is doing with their Ready to play and run sets is truly amazing with more features and variety to market to lots of people. For pricing I always recommend going through a great dealer and getting a great price. I hope you continue to love this great hobby and company for years to come! Happy Railroading 🚂!!
Great video! I was born in 95. I also have that Lionel repair guide too. It really helps out a lot with my restorations. I also couldn’t help but notice Donald from dons trains hiding in the background of the crowd.
I love O Scale too!! At my local club, it's crazy how much you can do with HO in a smaller space. I'll stick with O Scale, I love the size and history!! Happy Railroading!!!
It was an incredible show! There was so much to choose from. Since I had so much on pre-order from Vol 1, I decided not to get any trains but I couldn't pass on that art piece. Happy Railroading!!
Some prices were higher however, a buddy of mine got the deal of the year with a TMCC Southern Crescent for $150.00! The tender needs some work but overall awesome find. Happy Railroading!!🚂
That SD40T2 on that table was an excellent locomotive!!! I have one as well from the TMCC period. I need to find truck side frames for all trucks and then I'll do a review on that one!! Happy Railroading!!!
Overall I thought the train show was a major success. I can't remember if the first show for LCCA members was 3 hours but I thought it was enough time. Additionally, the days after were open to the public for extended hours. Happy Railroading!
I would say they are. Speaking as a "younger" person in our hobby I do meet lots of people my age and younger! Lionel and other companies are making great strides to market to younger generations but also bring all ages together! Another great thing I saw at the train show was seeing vendors give gifts to the younger generation kids and seeing all the reactions was amazing!! Those are core memories for them! Thank you & Happy Railroading 🦁🚂!!
I meant it reminds me of watch collecting, old guys overpriced toys taking advantage of young kids. Trains could be more affordable for youngest generation.
Can you put David Caragens number in the comments in trying to do ww2 on my train table and would be interested in purchasing some of his rolling stock. If your going to show the business card please give us the number. It's hard to get on our phones.
Thanks for taking the time to show us the LCCA train show. Well done!!

Need more YOUTH at this show....
i would love to be there to buy

I see some of the prices are a bit outrageous in my opinion with the steam locomotives there.
Some prices were higher however, a buddy of mine got the deal of the year with a TMCC Southern Crescent for $150.00! The tender needs some work but overall awesome find. Happy Railroading!!🚂
CAn't stand when dealers put a price STICKER on an expensive train. Haven't they EVER heard of a price tag w/STRING? Geez.....
I want an sd40t-2 o scale tunnel motor
That SD40T2 on that table was an excellent locomotive!!! I have one as well from the TMCC period. I need to find truck side frames for all trucks and then I'll do a review on that one!! Happy Railroading!!!
