I'm back with another Cooking with Carla video. Today I'm sharing how I put a meal together. This is real time video rather than a recipe video, sharing my thought processes of how I decide what to eat if I haven't planned.
Soup
Spray Oil
1 Shallot
3 Celery Stalks
Garlic
S&P
275g carrots
450g courgette
2 stock cubes
Dried Mixed herbs
Side Salad
Handfull Kale
Spray oil
1/2 tsp Gochugong
1 tsp Rice wine vinegar
Dash sesame oil
1 tsp Soy Sauce
Garlic granules
1/4 red pepper
Pickled Veg salad

Love the cooking with Carla videos! Definitely would love to see more soup creations. I prefer creations to recipes. 😊 My favorite part was seeing a sleepy Smoochie supervising the lunch preparation in the background. Such a beautiful sweet kitty. ❤
You have motivated me Carla to just get the damn weight done, I am so sick of lifelong dieting.
So I like to can (preserve) food, and I have begun canning up a heap of stews, soups, meals for one. The beauty part is I can measure and know exactly how many calories, carbs and grams of protein in each jar, and write that on the jar. The ultimate meal prep, shelf stable for a year !!!!

I really love your cooking videos because you cook in a normal person's kitchen! 😂☺️ Silken tofu really is special. Love using it when I want a creamy something but don't want to go the coconut milk/cream route.

When you drink your coffe in the morning before walking, do you use any plantmilk in it? Probably not if you do intermittant (but coffe without is nasty🤪).
And I was curius if you pay attention to your macros or just count calories. I want to start my weightloss journey (for the umpft time) but get hung up on details😊
That’s exactly what I was going to say, don’t get so hung up on the details or being perfect. I had plant milk in my coffee when IF, I make it work for me. I also only counted calories, tried to make life easy on myself by not worried about macros. Keep it simple 🖤

Love this kind of video! I’m tired of seeing people just show the finished product of the meals they eat in a day, but they don’t shoe the entire process: how they went from raw veggies in their fridge to a delicious meal with a realistic view of hours much preparation / cook time is needed to get that delicious meal. This really helps me when I’m hungry and faced with raw veggies starting at me in the fridge lol now my brain knows how to use them to whip up something tasty and low calorie.
Please create more cooking videos! From start to finish.. starting with opening the fridge lol
