As usual, a very thorough tour...of a surprisingly spacious & versatile boat. Nicely done, Dan. 'B' and 'J' seem to be the benchmarks of the crop of multi-functional 'pleasure boats'. Hugely popular in the USA but with few actually imported and long waiting lists. Looked like a nice day out there!
G'day Jack, always appreciate your feedback mate. Yes I see the Beneteau/Jeanneau brands making some very clever design ideas and putting them into their models across both sail and power. They must have a big team working on it because lots of clever thinking going on. Was a cracker of a day that day. Big swells running which added to the fun - thanks
A great video and lovely boat!
Damn, great layout and excellent use of space.
You really notice the beam on this boat. It's excellent for so many different activities
Great video !!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great all-round boat. Where were you filming that Dan? Looks lovely.
I agree, as an all-round day boat this is excellent. Just at Clontarf on Sydney Harbour. Was an easy spot to get away from the big swell that's been running in the heads this week.
I like this boat a lot. I wonder if you could encapsulate under the hard top and possibly the rear seating area for those not-so-great days on the water or when the weather changes. I have not seen anyone do that with this boat yet. Great video, thanks Dan.
Yes I see your point Brian. I suspect Jeanneau probably already offer a side clears package for this very purpose. However installing and removing clears is a bit of a pain so we need to deign an easier solution that doesn't involve zippers. Just my opinion..
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Agreed. If it had the curtain style, pre-hung clears that have their own storage compartment I think this boat would check all the boxes. You just slide them around from both sides and clip the bottoms and you're done. The boats I've seen are made in Finland I believe. The two brands are escaping me at the moment. Keep up the great videos. I watch because most of the boats you showcase are obtainable. Not those super yachts for the uber rich, but boats within reach for many.
Hey Dan, another amazing review. You are by far the most detailed and entertaining in your field.
At 35' 8" would you consider this boat to be the best in this size and price range? I'd love to hear your thoughts on any comparisons I should check out and maybe your top 3 or 5 in this price range and size. Hope to hear from you soon. Respect
Thanks I appreciate that. It'salways possible to find higher quality and better riding boats but then we will lose the price advantage. So in general terms and covering a few of the different styles but in affordable price categories I would say: Jeanneau 10.5WA, Dromea 33WA, Saxdor 320GTO, Schaeffer V33 and the wildcard entrant while bigger than the others is the Oryx 379. All of these boats are offerring a lot of bang for buck. The Jeanneau is the safest best in terms of re-sale followed by Saxdor (in Australia) as they are better known brands. Hope that helps!
Where was this one filmed? It looks like an awesome area
On Sydney Harbour, North Shore
Thoughts on this boat compared to the Nimbus T11?
Similarities in terms of carrying capacity and the number of activities you can achieve aboard each boat. Depending on what market you are in the Jeanneau may have more brand recognition so could have better resale. The Nimbus is the higher quality but should also be a higher price. Many more factors to consider as everyone is different but they are both boats that will keep two families comfortable for a day on the water and one family comfortable for an overnight adventure so if that is what you are looking for then yes you should test each boat and see what you think.
What bay is that? I live in Sydney and can't work it out.
Clontarf :)
Peut on avoir les explications en français
Hmm yeah I think I can change a setting that allows for French subtitles. I’ll look into it. Sorry I was only thinking about Spanish and Chinese so forgot about French speakers
