Dear Kevin, thank you for your brilliant videos! I want to ask a question, if you dont mind - are early cordial glasses are equal by meaning of use to liqueur glasses, described in your video?

There is a very good reason for me not mentioning cordials, it’s because my glass books don’t mention them in the same breath, so I thought they were different things. If you Google they are the same thing and I could have thrown in a couple of 18th century glasses. I’m living and learning as I do these videos.

@@lovedecanters7891 Dear Kevin, Thank you for your clear explanations. Indeed, it is a very interesting observation that liquor glasses in particular are not described in 18th and 19th century glass books. Thank you once again for the wonderful and very interesting videos on your channel. With deep respect, Igor.

Wish I could make a trip to England. We in USA don't find the much cut or blown crystal before late 1800s. I do have some 1960s Stuart that is just wonderful. I think Waterford bought them to distroy them. Waterford is overrated here in the states.

The UK is a bit funny as there is a lot of transitioning to vintage glass. I can go places where the dealers really know the old glass and there won't be any glasses, and places where the dealers know nothing about it, and you can buy it for a couple of £s because it has the wear and tear you would expect on something 200 years old. I also think Waterford is overrated, I think they acid polish too hard and make it look more like pressed than cut glass sometimes.
