    Thanks for posting. I’m going to be attempting this soon as my first scooter mod and it was nice watching every step.

      @@That1PinoyDIYdudeCould you explain how to drill and tap the new fork?

    • @That1PinoyDIYdude
      @That1PinoyDIYdude  4 місяці тому +1

      Sure thing 👌. The new fork has 2 vertical grooves/slots front and back on the pipe (my guess is the Xiaomi M365 Pro uses these grooves/slots), that you can use for reference as the centerline for the fork alignment.
      Following that groove/slot, apply some masking tape vertically along that groove on the entire length of the pipe as your centerline reference. Then insert the fork in the scooter's neck and align that centerline with the masking tape through the hole. Then mark your drilling point with a marker through that hole. You can also use the stock fork and measure from the bottom ring seat of that pipe to its stop screw hole, so you can get the exact measurement to mark on the new fork.
      Then drill and tap that mark as the hole for the stop screw using a 3/16" drill bit with a m5x0.8 thread tap. Also a good idea to use a pointed punch (either manual with a hammer or spring loaded one) on that mark before drilling so the drill bit won't slip off as you drill.

    Awesome video! Thank you so much bro! I really appreciate this video since I will rate my Highboy S2 Pro scooter a 5 star rating, except for the lack of any stock front suspension! Your video is extremely valuable to owners of the Highboy S2 Pro scooters whom are feeling the same as I, and annoyed with the lack of no front stock suspension. I literally have almost broken my wrists from how hard my scooter slams on potholes and dimples in the road especially when I don’t see them coming and it gives myself a rude awakening that is enough to make myself wreck once and put myself in the emergency room when I was going 19mph+ and went to a dead stop upon wrecking due to having no stock front suspension and I believe if I did have this custom front suspension installed, I firmly believe that I would not have had that serious accident on my Highboy S2 Pro happen.

    Does it work on ks4 pro?

    • @That1PinoyDIYdude
      @That1PinoyDIYdude  Місяць тому +2

      @@ArafatChowdhury I am not sure. I do not have that model, so I have not tried it. They say the KS4 Pro is the improved version of the S2 Pro, so it should work. Only way to know is try. The steps should be the same. Good luck! 👍

    What is the 1/4 steel piece used for?

    • @That1PinoyDIYdude
      @That1PinoyDIYdude  День тому

      It is a woodruff key to keep the handle stem from spinning around the fork tube and keeps it straight. The tube for the new Ulip front suspension fork has a slot groove in it. So I inserted a small piece of flat steel in there as a woodruff key.

    I noticed also some S2 Pros come with solid rubber tires and some come with honeycomb tires. The honeycomb tires version also has different shaped thumb controls and the brake + electronics wire locations at the lower tube are parallel to each other instead of offset. I wonder if the honeycomb tires version is the newer updated version? I got sold the solid rubber tires version and just noticed the differences after watching many videos and seeing pics of other S2 Pros.
    HiBoy needs to notify customers of this instead of allowing retailers to sell older versions for the same price, customers thinking it is the current one.
    Looks like the KS4 Pro has solid rubber tires too. One thing I don't like with the KS4 Pro is it doesn't have the electronic brake lever like the S2 Pro.
    On their website it shows you can get a new front wheel with the honeycomb tires, but shows the rear wheel with the solid rubber tires. Gets confusing as to which type of tire they are going to send you.

    Would it work for the regular hiboy s2 ?

    • @That1PinoyDIYdude
      @That1PinoyDIYdude  10 днів тому

      @@eduardogarcia4204 It should, but I wouldn't recommend it since the regular S2 has smaller 8" tires versus 10" for the Pro. Adding this front suspension would raise the front end so much.

      @@eduardogarcia4204 As far as I know, you can. The rims are the same. I am not sure though if the front and rear forks have enough clearance for bigger tires.
