You should be commended for the work you do to student and professional instruments. As a retired band teacher, I really wish I had a repair shop like yours near me. You go above and beyond to give every player the best horn to play as a student or professional. It is hard enough for a beginning student to play with a great horn than to be fighting a none functioning instrument. Thank you for being the technician and person you are. Love your work and your attitude to your profession!!!!!!!

In highschool I was very poor and played in the band, first chair flute for three years. Being poor I had to repad and repair my own flute, coming from a mechanical background it was somewhat foreign to me to work on something so small and delicate, my Yamaha FL-34 got padded twice over the course of about 9 years cause thats all I could afford, played for ISSMA and performed as well as people with much more than I had. Being older now, about 25 I would love to have someone who was trained to repair take a look at and fix my own repairs to see how I stack up with nothing more than small engine mechanics knowledge
"Swedish pliers", - I've expanded my english vocabulary today, the "Swedish pipe wrench" I already knew, and the crescent wrench is originally from Sweden aswell. There has been a lot of competent tool makers in Sweden, - Bacho, Lindström, Sandvik and many more. Love your dent tool BTW, resembles of PDR in the car body shop
You got me reminiscing. Lady brings in a flute all dented and bent. Turns out her daughter got into a fight with another girl. They used their flutes like swords or clubs. Next day another lady comes in with a banged up flute. I say, let me guess? The look on her face when I nailed it.

Oh no no no... it looks to me that engineer Dave has indeed used a chunk of what is called UHMW. or Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene. Commonly referred to as.... plastic 🤭 THIRDLY: The term 'Thirdly' is most definitely a word and you are most definitely using it in its proper context. As an adverb that is used to introduce a third point. So don't let grammar Nazis misinform your instinctive intellect! -✌️
I have a question about flute leaks, what would be the ideal way to check for a leak? Can you use the clarinet trick and do the vacuum test and/or use the leak light? Or is there another way of checking??
GUYS I NEED HELP!!! My G key is playing a F# and I have a concert in a week and a half. I have no idea why it is doing that and no tutorial is helping me. I have no time to take it to the repair shop because it takes about 3 weeks since where I live theres only one music store in the whole territory. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASEEE😭😭😭😭
why are you useing hard steel tools on someones nice soft flute? this is wrong, seeing this, i would never want you to even go anywhere neer my instraments, not to be rude, but please, if you are going to call yoruself a pro, then atlest use soft jaw tools, my gosh the ammount of times i cringed in this video...........
