Isn't this their 19th season? Maybe it could be something they do throughout all of next season since it will be season 20, which is pretty good for UA-cam, right? 20 seasons of a show. Impressive for any show, I think. That could be what they're celebrating because they have done so much food over the years it would have to be multiple episodes lol
Personally, Tapatio is my favorite. I agree that Cholula and Tapatio are the best, but Cholula is more geared towards those who enjoy a casual spice, whereas Tapatio aims to offer a genuine kick
I always, ALWAYS have Cholula, Tapatio, and Frank's in my fridge. All of them are so good and have their uses. I probably use Cholula the most just because I feel like it goes the best with a lot of foods, but I really like the amount of heat Tapatio has. It's definitely the spiciest of all the sauces they had on the episode. Frank's is just the most classic american vinegar sauce though and it's so good with like chili, eggs, or wings.
I love Tabasco the most too. But on it self, like just plain Tabasco no food, it’s extremely strong tasting. On food it’s great but by itself it’s just way too strong

@@RiveroftheWither Frank's is the original, it's not advertised as wing sauce because it pre-dates Buffalo wings. All the others just aspire to be like Franks.
My first taste of Cholula was in 1993. I had moved back to MO but left most of my stuff in storage in Albuquerque. My dad and I went down to get it and stopped in Amarillo for lunch. I don't even remember the restaurant, but we wrote down the info for the sauce and started ordering it by mail. I will happily eat any of these sauces but Cholula is still my go to. Texas Pete story: interesting, and knowing that Texas was Mexican territory back in the 1800's! Valentina is a classic here in Mexico for chips and fruit cocktails!!!
Tapatio is the best primarily because it doesn't have vinegar so the flavors come through without distraction. The Louisiana sauces are way too vinegar-ee.
Y’know, that “sharpness” you said Tapatío had would explain why my mom likes putting it on her eggs so much. She always has her scrambled eggs on english muffins. A little bit of melted cheddar and some salsa, and she’ll put tapatío on every bite.
It all depends what I'm putting it on. Sriracha on Asian foods, Frank's on chicken and Tapatio as my favorite all around for Mexican, eggs, etc. I mix Tapatio with sour cream and salsa as a chip dip. It's so good.
I’ll say I just recently got Cholula’s Chipotle flavor and for any cholula lovers, it’s incredible. Definitely more specific to Mexican food in flavors but it blew me away. I’ve been such a consistent fan of their original I never thought to try their other flavors and it tastes truly like if cholula was bbq sauce. It’s phenomenal.
Wouldn't that be difficult without any doors... plus all the spicy vinegar everywhere. No, not for me. I'll keep living in my gingerbread house. It's much sweeter here.
Cholula is just sauce. It has literally no heat. Great flavor, but no heat. Tabasco's vinegarry flavor and VERY minimal ingredients (literally 3) makes it a great base for almost any meal and it it brings actual spice.
I honestly think you should do these sauce taste tests on their designed dishes for the final round. You can't test sauces straight or on a cracker, you saw this in the BBQ sauce video with the chicken to ribs to pork, they are made for specific things!
As a mexican I have to stand up for my Valentina! I literally have two giant bottles of it at home. But I really only use it for popcorn and sometimes for tacos. Y’all HAVE TO try it on popcorn, it’s the best for it because it’s so thick so it holds really well. (Another contender for popcorn salsa is San Luis, but idk if that’s as popular or even found everywhere.)
