Great reaction as usual😁, I loved the reference you made with Kansas. East of Eden surprised the J-Metal scene with their debut single "Evolve" (you should check it out☺). As for some info about the band they're kind of a super group asembled by Ayasa (violin) who is the band leader and producer. Ayasa is fairly famous since she is also in the Bandori band, Morfonica, she just released an instrumental mini album (outstanding work). Yuki (guitar), comes from D_Drive a really known and respected rock and progressive band in japan. The bass player is Wakazaemon who is also Marty Friednman's current bass player. The drummer is Mizuki who plays for Lonesome Blue. Akane (vocals) is a former idol singer. Not shown, but the music was written by Mao who is kinda like the sixth member of Lovebites. He writes music for Lonesome Blue and many of the Lovebites songs with Asami. Mao came from the band Lightbringer and was bandmates with Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus.
East of Eden is a supergroup formed by Ayasa the violinist just last year, the band consist of five highly skilled individuals that have their own band before this. They quickly become one of my new favorite bands after LOVEBITES, NEMOPHILA and HANABIE. If you want to listen to them more, you can react to their 1st single 'EVOLVE [Extended Version]'. It's a truly fantastic song that hooked me instantly to this band. Thanks for reacting to EoE!! 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
The vocalist, Akane Minato, was the main singer in the adult idol group Predia for eleven years before they disbanded in 2022, and she was involved in a few side projects as well. She's one of those people who was born to sing.
The music was co-written by the band and Mao - a man - who co-writes with Lovebites. The lyrics are by Nana Hatori who is the pronunciation adviser to Asami from Lovebites. Asami also co-wrote with Lonesome_Blue, whose drummer Mizuki is also EOE's drummer. Ayasa also appeared on a track by Lonesome_Blue.
East of Eden had been my best surprise of this month, that bass line catch me and the epic violin made me fell in love with the band. Every musician in this band are fenomenal, I recently discover that the bassist is the bassist of Marty Friedman, OMG the world its so small. Nice video guys. I only have a question, Where did you get that beautiful for HELION PRIME?, I seriously need a shirt of that band, really, I´m for Mexico
My newest favorite Japanese female metal-rock band. Everything is perfect - the vocals are insane and then the rest are perfection! Nothing needs changing! 🤘🎸🐺
So, since the violinist peaked your interest, check out another J-Metal/Prog. band, Unlucky Morpheus, their official live video, Dignity of Spirit! It’s a musical journey 🔥
Personally, I was a bit skeptical about how much focus the members were going to be putting into this band since they are all in other bands. There are plenty of Japanese musicians that do multiple full-time bands/groups but with Ayasa being attached to a BanG Dream band and being under contract with the show I wasn't so sure how much time she was going to be able to give. From everything I've seen and read since Ayasa has been given plenty of time to actually make East of Eden a full-fledged endeavor and not just a little part time gig the members do for fun.
You should check their vids “Evolve-extended version” and “Hanabi” as they rock a bit more than this one. This vid is a bit more “poppy” not that it’s a bad thing.
