- Alan Whicker meets Lulu Parker Betenson, Butch Cassidy (the infamous criminal's) sister.
In the second half of the film, Whicker explores Mormonism, meeting the Osmond family, a number of successful Mormons and witnesses a new prison programme run by the mormon church.

My moms side of the family is related to him, we went down and visited great aunt Lulu, oh it was wonderful to listen to her, I was a young teen and I was amazed listening to her stories. I'm glad she kept his grave a secret, people would've desecrated it, like they do everything else.
Whicker the best ever
Robert Redford has just told us of his meeting with Lula. This is an authentic story, confirmed by him and Paul Newman during the making of the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Of course, he might not have been "hunted all his life" if he hadn't kept robbing trains and banks...

Good for her. We'll never know the truth. But, family is family. I certainly he hope he didn't die in South America and survived a life of peace and civility. As the story is told he was a decent man who cared for those who had less. We have the stories and myths and legends, a wonderful story to be told.
