I met a woman from Peru this morning and talked to her about this conversation. Her culture they use both the dad and moms last name when naming their children and she was surprised we don't name our children after the mother. What's up with that!!!!!!
Then this afternoon I was in the middle of a divorced couple making an appointment for their teen. First I talked to the mom, then the dad calls me not knowing his wife called me. They are not talking to each other so this teen now has to wait until next month because of the lack of communication. I thought of this conversation again.
I believe this was the BEST Bert show ever. Thank you for sharing.
My parents had a really nasty divorce, and my mother absolutely hated it when I would see my father. (Perhaps because he wasn't my birth father, didn't come into my life until I was 10, but he is the one who brought me up and was always there for me - unlike the sperm donor.) They eventually ended up as good friends, and life was sooooooooooo much better for us "kids"!
I loved this segment so, so much!
Bert to his credit never said anything negative on the radio about Stacy and told the listeners from day one not to call with negative comments about her.

This is his ex-wife, not ex-fiancee (Tiffany). Bert ended that a few weeks ago.

On a side note The Bert Show now has a segment called date my ex-wife where Bert is looking for someone to date Stacy

I wonder if Tiffany was the toxic one? Did she cheat?
I don’t think so? It sounded like something akin to maturity levels/lifestyle being mismatched or something like that. I don’t want to give a super negative impression but that’s what I understood.
I want to say Bert mentioned his pieces of accountability here and there, as in he likes things specifically certain ways (that could sound bad, but more like he’s particular) and this has been one of the things they’ve been mismatched on. Made it sound like two people who wanted it to work, but that one or both people would have had to change who they were/let go of hard boundaries and they realized that wasn’t right.
That’s my impression, but no one has said anything specific, which I respect.
I remember when they got divorced. Nobody cheated they just grew apart.
@@charloletti This is not Tiffany. This is his ex wife Stacy, they got divorced about 10 years ago.
