Well done Keiran on a game well played.
It wasn't really cryptic and when he stood up he looked at Hannah a couple of times and signalled with his eyes it was Will, which I personally think shouldn't have been allowed and why didn't the other 2 traitors throw him under the bus if it was allowed.
@@WotchaLookinAt1well that’s probably why he had to be ‘cryptic’, I’m sure there’s probably a clause in the contract they signed that when they reveal themselves to be faithful/traitor at the podium, they’re not allowed to directly say ‘x person is also a traitor’ as that’ll corrupt the game, so the best they can do is drop hints

This has to be the best thing the BBC have commissioned other than its phenomenal nature and wildlife programmes. Genius concept, the best presenter ( don't ever let go of Claudia) , wonderful place to film with the best 1st cast of characters. I feel a bafta coming your way BBC
BEST CAST EVER! I'd honestly be so happy to see these genuinely nice people all play again :) Claudia is a superstar too! Genuinely the best TV show potentially EVER! I found myself crying at the end with Wilf. SEASON 2 PLEASE WITH THE SAME CAST haha!
I have to agree with the cast being fantastic, particularly wilf, as he was the perfect scheming backstabbing villain and made the show so much better to watch. I hope he gets some sort of job opportunities come his way following this, as even though he was a Judas he deserves recognition for all the great drama he created.
I loved Aaron the most. I think if you look at him through the entire show he's always so loving and kind to everyone and always hearing him say he was pushing along for his mom made me love him even more. I think that's the biggest reason Wilf and Amanda changed their gameplay at the end. I do feel like Wilf definitely deserved to win because he played a brilliant game. I feel like if he had recruited Amanda they could've totally won together but I was happy about how it turned out. Its such a good show. I wish they'd done a full on reunion show with everyone before series 2 starts up.
I just finished the season on Peacock and my God you would have thought it was the Superbowl the way we clapped and yelled. What a season! There's no chance of ever replicating the energy and connection the same as this group but truly love the season. Love from the US!
I just watched this entire series on the Peacock app here in the states. BRILLIANT television! I had just watched the US version a few days ago and was blown away by the originality of the game, the setting, and the players. As soon as I finished, I instantly skipped over to the UK series and it was equally as brilliant! I had no idea who the host Claudia is before this, apparently she is a known media personality over there. I thought she was amazing! I love her look, and I think she’s just perfect for the show. I thought all of the players brought something to the game and was so pleased by the way it ended so dramatically! The US version has already been picked up for the season, two! I really, really hope they do the same for the UK. And if you haven’t watched the US version already, please do it is a nearly exact replica. Same challenges, same setting as the UK just a different host with Alan Cumming. Amanda deserves an acting award!
I'm from the Netherlands and really enjoyed the Dutch versions, but the UK version was awesome! In the beginning I thought Claudia was rather 'cold' and aloof (I didn't know her before this), but started to like her more and more. And all those unexpected plot twists in the game... Absolutely brilliant! I'm looking forward to watching a new season!
Everything in this show was so brilliant. The aesthetic was fantastic, the missions were thought through and interesting, the game was masterly structured and the cast was so lovely and respectful despite their diversity (most of the time). Absolutely outstanding. Hope this show will return for a second season!
Breath of fresh air especially from the bbc. They location, theme, and all round atmosphere was fantastic! Season 2 can't come quick enough hurry up and renew it!!! ❤️
I can't believe the last three Faithfuls (before Kieran's round table talk) didn't realise that there was DEFINITELY another Traitor among them. They knew that two Traitors had been banished. Surely they knew from the beginning that there were three Traitors in total (besides Kieran, because Kieran joined a good few episodes into the series), so there HAD to be another Traitor amongst them. None of the Faithfuls even tried to go through that logic.
Oh yeah! There had to be a traitor there since BEFORE Kieran reappeared in order for Kieran to have been recruited. Seems so obvious now but I hadn’t though of it myself!
I was shouting this at the telly - I couldn’t believe they never acknowledged that Kieran was late to the party so couldn’t have been the only traitor.
No, the Faithfuls are never told how many traitors there are, even at the start. So for all they know, there could have been just two traitors selected at the round table meaning there didn't have to be another one left after Kieran.
@@butchershoppequartet8690 I totally agree! Thought I’d get hounded for my comment, nice to see like minded sensible people exist still in this cruel world x
The Dutch one and the Australian one were pretty good, but our UK one was easily the best version of this show. Appreciate the production values, and especially making the endgame atmospheric and fair (and not going down the Golden-Balls-style split or steal rubbish like the other countries!). Great cast, great missions, and the ending was the icing on the cake!
oh yes, the UK tops it for me (Dutch, in Netherlands) and I would love to have been able to see the Oz version.. it is said to have been really good too.
Not really. UK was the WORST. TOO MUCH CRYING. Too much emotional thinking. Zero "tough" players. Nobody was really intelligent.... the US and Australia were brutal. They were smart. They were traitors for real. They were funny. They used their brains and wit. UK was mediocre at best
Hey, use whatever advantage that you got. Kieran was a volatile, quick to anger clown. He sold out Wil to make him lose rather than help the others win. Such a negative attitude. He wanted to “win” at whatever cost.
none of them deserve it, hannah and meryl got to the end because they were close to Wilf and aaron got to the end because he's extremely naive and unintelligent
@@usainengland Wil should have seen it coming. That's the risk of backstabbing a fellow traitor and Wil was too stupid to factor it in. Wil got too lucky and cocky from backstabbing two fellow traitors
Great show, just finished series 1. I haven’t shouted at the telly so much in ages! The round table scenes serve as an important lesson about the dangers of mob rule.
I couldn't understand why so many tears 😂 Every episode had me questioning if they remembered this was a game and wanted to actually win the money?! 😵💫 I'm guessing none of them have ever played Mafia before...epic game! However, I absolutely loved the programme and binge watched it this week. I wanted Amanda to win because she was the only one holding it together emotionally and acted the most natural out of all the traitors.
some of them had played social deduction games before, but they take what, an hour to complete? Typically with established friends. These strangers shared a up to fortnight of their life together and just like, the sets, the relationships that had to be developed essentially in character, the fact that it was for money not just for fun... from what I gather in interviews, podcasts and AMAs is that it was just a powder keg for a really emotional experience. I doubt series 2 will replicate it quite as much to be honest, unless we go by AU season 2 where only like 1 or 2 of the contestants even bothered watching season 1 before they played.
@@MikeRees not to mention the sleep deprivation! they all talked about how little sleep they were getting, i feel like the stress and paranoia and lack of sleep would set anyone off but maybe thats just me aha
Discovered this because of The Traitors US which I loved because my fave reality stars where there but I absolutely fell in love with this version and this cast. They were so much fun to watch.
Loved the series. Loved Claudia, she was brilliant. I was on the edge of my seat every episode. I was the fly on the wall, knowing everything, who the traitors were. Wilf played a blinder. I know he really wanted the money. But, his death nail was signed by Kieran. When he said. ‘This is my parting gift to you’ 😮 Game over! 👏🏻😉 Brilliant!
Kieran threw himself to the wolves though at the round table. Surely he could have looked, and sounded a little less guilty. The others weren't going to vote for anyone else after that were they? And he cheated at the end I think, I mean I'm definite about that. He fairly openly indicated that Wilf was a traitor. There's no mistake about that.
@@marykistnen6837 You should watch the show, they were obviously voting for Kieran regardless because of Wilf snaking him all day. They barely tried to hide it.
Keiran did not wear the traitor role at all well… he looked so anxious as soon as he had that burden - got threatening with Wilf etc and just didn’t look comfortable. I’m glad for the outcome but does feel a bit harsh on Wilf that he was even forced to take on another traitor.
I'm Dutch, it's a Dutch format and my confession is that I have not seen the first two series on Dutch tv but got hooked the moment I saw the UK version!! Series 3 in NL has just commenced on tv.. but I am hungering for series 2 on BBC! My sincere compliments to all involved!
When it was trailed, I imagined it would be vacuous twaddle like so many "reality" shows. But it wasn't! The simple yet complex game idea was the difference that lifted it up. I recorded ep1 and it was just such a superb idea (based, I suspect, on social deduction tabletop games like One Night Ultimate Werewolf) that we were hooked, and it became the one show in the week we looked forward to. I really hope we get more series.
It just needs a small tweak imo. The Challenges part where they win the money is a sort of tacked on sub par I'm A Celebrity copy cat. Let's be honest - we all watched it for the Murders, Round Tables and general paranoia! Yes? 😉
What an incredible bunch of people! Absolutely love the show and so pleased they have done a series 2. Kieran played the game so well, Will was a fantastic traitor and I cried at his final speech. Aaron, Meryl and Hannah very much deserved to win. Also, Claudia! The most perfect host for this show. She has made me laugh in each of the episodes and I just love her. This is a great interview to watch. It’s like watching a group of friends having a laugh! Well done guys!
I loved this program so much. The twists and turns…it was like the first series of Big Brother when Nasty Nick was outed combined with Cluedo, shear genius!
The BBC would be idiots not to commission another series. It was a brilliant idea, loved loved loved Claude! Perfect platform for her. Can’t wait for another one, you could even do a Celebrity one to raise money for charity
I think The Traitors missed a massive goal with no "after show" or follow up - Bake off Extra Slice, All the various Behind the Scenes stuff... Traitors could easily run B-roll footage over and over - we'd watch it. Why were there no exit interviews from expelled players? We really should have seen Kieron and Leons reaction to being kicked out before they even set foot in the mansion... And now here I am trawling UA-cam to try and find interviews.... this should all have been part of the show, as an "add on" program. But the fact remains that its brilliant, provocative watching. If you have not watched the Australian one - go do that right now. Every bit as good ;) Such a simple concept - its just a Murder Mystery party... Goes to show we don't need all the silly stuff - the masses are very happy watching classics, thank you! Oh and a shout out to C Y below - yes, Season 2 with the same cast but switched positions would be very, VERY interesting....
It's a first series. They probably had no idea it would be as popular as it has been. It's a good idea and would be interesting to watch, but there is no chance something like that gets commissioned for a show that's on its first series. Extra Slice, Apprentice You're Fired, etc. all came after the series were already popular.
Kieren is the man. That old school kinda gentleman that can knock you out at the same time. Plus he's fit 😅. I'm from the US and this is my new favorite show.
@King J I personally don’t think she was annoying, but her reason was too wrong and random for them to believe her. Also only half of her theory was correct. Her twitter interaction was fun, and she’s got good personality, that’s why I’d like to have her around.
Kieran is THAT geezer. The way he sussed what was going on and then dropped WILL right in it. I was screaming at Hannah to take the clue. In the end, i saw Aaron pick from the right side of the box and i knew he picked the red, but when Hannah did i was sooo happy. I get Will was playing a role, but to betray the traitors was a step too far for me. You got have loyalty somewhere.
I loved this version best of all. The good guys won! The ending felt so good and rewarding, unlike the Australian version where the winner didn't seem to care about anyone else. Claudia made this show by being so warm and supportive. I loved all the friendships and the genuine care the cast had for each other!
I feel like what Kieran did was quite cheaty, but I didn't like the ultimatum Wilf pulled afterwards. I was happy for either team to win but when he said his ultimatum I was so pissed.
I loved this! Will was a fantastic traitor, Kieran played a great part as did they all. I wanted Aaron to win as I thought he came over as a lovely person and was great at the tasks. I didn't think Hannah or Meryl knew what they were doing ha-ha! BUT I'm so thrilled this was the end result. Great stuff!
I'm surprised Claudia didn't ask Wilf how he felt about Kieran ruining it for him. I'm surprised they are even sitting together. Maybe it's in their contract to do press after.
Kieran did not ruin it he played the game and got wilf back after he backstabbed him. What he did was part of the show and they are all friends it was a game Wilf got too greedy Kieran's twist was great especially as he was made to be a traitor
Wilf has just shown what a top top guy he is as he is so happy for the winners he doesn’t hold a grudge for Kieran robbing him of £100k. They will need to amend the oath the traitors took to include hinting as otherwise the show will always end in the same way of one bitter banished traitor all but revealing who the remaining traitor is.
@@JuanCarlosOmar_CHAMP15NS expect Kieran didn’t rob him whatsoever wilf got too greedy and backstabbed the wrong person . Please!....let there be another series of this great programme. This could easily become a cult series with a big viewing audience. And Aaron, such a genuine, great young guy, who had no problem showing his emotions.
I feel like given a second chance Aaron would do quite well, of all the contestants he seemed to grow the most, putting up a really solid defence against constant accusations and later on realising how much of a brainwash Amanda and Wilfred had put on him enough to finally see through their lies.
What I didn’t quite understand about the finale is how much the faithful knew about the possible “recruiting” - at the point Kieran was revealed as the third banished traitor wouldn’t they have remembered that there were 3 to begin with and Kieran wasn’t one of those (having re-entered late)? Why did this not come up? Editing?

This show definitely needs a new season its alot better than some of the other shows that bbc have got several seasons of. Pilot seasons that do reasonably well means that theres definitely potential imagine it would become massive after 3 or 4 seasons. I might be wrong but I think the first season of I'm a celebrity was the same in that it did reasonably well and those who did watch it loved it and the 2nd season blew up due to the power of recommendation.
I think later seasons would have less of the raw emotion, as it will attract a much more hardened type of contestant willing to form alliances of convenience, take any offer to be a traitor and be much better at hiding any planned betrayals.

@@reececollison5101 Sure but there's no way you should be allowed to make any non verbal signals once you stand up to leave. Which Kieran blatantly did when he locked eyes with Hannah and directed her eyes towards Will.
They won't acting they were themselves
I have to agree with the cast being fantastic, particularly wilf, as he was the perfect scheming backstabbing villain and made the show so much better to watch. I hope he gets some sort of job opportunities come his way following this, as even though he was a Judas he deserves recognition for all the great drama he created.
No Kieran was the worst to cast and he broke the rules go look at the other 2 renditions of this show completely different
this show was such a breath of fresh air for british television and claudia winkleman you absolute diamond 🥰
brilliant show, it shows that the contestants were well looked after too!!
Wish there was an aftershow.Would love to see everyone's reaction. Brilliant concept
The BEST breakout show of 2022
I just watched this entire series on the Peacock app here in the states.
I'm from NL too and hadn't seen the first 2 Dutch series. I got hooked via the BBC version and... I am hungering for the UK S2!
It's great seeing them in good spirits.
Wilf downfall not selecting Hannah as his co traitor
He would betray her too wouldn't he 🤔😂
Correct! Everyone said the third must be a man and they were right, so Kieran was a terrible choice
Everything in this show was so brilliant. The aesthetic was fantastic, the missions were thought through and interesting, the game was masterly structured and the cast was so lovely and respectful despite their diversity (most of the time). Absolutely outstanding. Hope this show will return for a second season!
Claudia passion for the show shun through and finally normal people on the show, what a breath of fresh air.
Such a riveting, intense, and emotional show! The finale was amazing. That parting gift...
Well I guess there's the possibility that all the traitors had been banished and the producers just made some more?
I was shouting this at the telly - I couldn’t believe they never acknowledged that Kieran was late to the party so couldn’t have been the only traitor.
No, the Faithfuls are never told how many traitors there are, even at the start. So for all they know, there could have been just two traitors selected at the round table meaning there didn't have to be another one left after Kieran.
@@mrj4615 but they always talked about three traitors, didn't they? so they might have had some kind of idea...
CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A REUNION EPISODE WITH EVERYONE FROM THE CAST ALL BACK TOGETHER WITH THE TRAITORS IT WOULD HAVE SOOOOO MUCH DRAMA
It would have zero drama unfortunately.. they are all best friends
Yes! I would love to see this. I definitely feel like we need a debrief. 😊💖
It’s definitely the kinda show you need an aftermath episode to see everyone’s reactions to the reveal once it goes on air
Poor Kieran - no credit! Certainly a clique and a very strange one at that! 🤔
What they did to Keiran was horribly cruel.
@@butchershoppequartet8690 I totally agree! Thought I’d get hounded for my comment, nice to see like minded sensible people exist still in this cruel world x
@@LETTYONLY1 The man didn't stand a chance.
@@butchershoppequartet8690 what they did to Kieran AFTER was also very cruel!
i love Kieran
The Dutch one and the Australian one were pretty good, but our UK one was easily the best version of this show. Appreciate the production values, and especially making the endgame atmospheric and fair (and not going down the Golden-Balls-style split or steal rubbish like the other countries!). Great cast, great missions, and the ending was the icing on the cake!
Any links to watch the other versions at all? I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!
I enjoyed the American one as well.
oh yes, the UK tops it for me (Dutch, in Netherlands) and I would love to have been able to see the Oz version.. it is said to have been really good too.
Not really. UK was the WORST. TOO MUCH CRYING. Too much emotional thinking. Zero "tough" players. Nobody was really intelligent.... the US and Australia were brutal. They were smart. They were traitors for real. They were funny. They used their brains and wit. UK was mediocre at best
Kieran getting no praise…. Hannah and Meryl certainly didn’t deserve the money, totally blindsided and only won because of Kieran.
Bless her Meryl just got kept in because she wasn’t a threat.
Hey, use whatever advantage that you got. Kieran was a volatile, quick to anger clown. He sold out Wil to make him lose rather than help the others win. Such a negative attitude. He wanted to “win” at whatever cost.
Truest comment I’ve seen so far
none of them deserve it, hannah and meryl got to the end because they were close to Wilf and aaron got to the end because he's extremely naive and unintelligent
Hannah has a great radio voice!
Amanda a total legend ❤
Such a clever well thought out show. Couldn’t stop watching it all play out brilliant.
Exactly. Watch the US version. They understood the assignment! UK was a bunch of emotion wrecks with no brains or thoughts of their own!
some of them had played social deduction games before, but they take what, an hour to complete?
So satisfying to see Maddy say she told you so!
What a treat 😢🎉 REUNION PLS!! So glad for the whole crew!
Only heard of this show a week ago. Already finished it. Loved it throughout
I felt sorry for Kieran. He had a raw deal.
He did.....but I'm so thankful for his Parting Gift 😉
I love KIEREN, to see him get the last laugh and take Wilf down the biggest villain was AMAZING TV
Don’t watch much tele these days, but this show was gripping. I cried at the end!
It is seriously one of the best programmes on TV. I can’t believe how invested I got in a game. Hope a second series comes back soon
Series 2 on January 3rd 2024!!!
Finished the show last night and watched this today. We loved it! Claud is the perfect host for this show. More please!
Brilliant show! One of the best things on TV in years. Claudia is to The Traitors what Davina McCall was to Big Brother! 🙏🏻
Well let’s hope she doesn’t become an unbearable prick like davina did on big brother then!
I loved the show, Wilf did really well and made it very interesting.
Absolutely brilliant show. We binge watched this week and we’re hooked. Great concept and Claudia a fantastic host.
An absolutely brilliant series. I hope that the BBC make another series of this as was totally hooked.
Love Will.
He worked so hard & was under so much pressure. He deserved every penny of the prize money. I was gutted.
The best tv show in years i normally don't watch reality tv but gave this atry and fell in love with it.
Basically a grown up version of 'Among Us' fantastically done & well thought out
One of the greatest endings to a TV show I've ever seen. Magic!!!
Best tv with the best cast bravoooo all the awards!! Season 2 is a must even if it’s a new cast idc we need more!!
Yes? 😉
Sounds like you would enjoy the game Mafia.
Claudia is amazing! So down to earth
Excellent show, I just hope Series 2 is just as good!
I loved this program so much. The twists and turns…it was like the first series of Big Brother when Nasty Nick was outed combined with Cluedo, shear genius!
The best show ever.
I have literally watched this series 4 times, and the final a few extra times. I love it!
That’s just sad, it’s a great show but why would you watch it more than once knowing who’s leaving each time. Weird mate
@@harryrussell6801it’s something they enjoy watching just leave them to it
Absolutely loved it, addictive. Hope they do a second series.
100% agree and a reunion episode or after show would be pretty cheap to produce.
This was such the best picking of people of this show, so much fun to watch
I’m so happy to see Maddy. Haha she was fun to have for a interview!
@King J I personally don’t think she was annoying, but her reason was too wrong and random for them to believe her. Also only half of her theory was correct. Her twitter interaction was fun, and she’s got good personality, that’s why I’d like to have her around.
I love Maddy and was rooting for her! ^^
Maddy is sweet 🧁
I've just spent 3 days binge watching all 12 episodes, I had only heard about this series a few days ago and I was transfixed from the very beginning.
I love the idea when Claudia said same cast but different traiters.
The Best cast! Just watched these warriors and they kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.
I loved this version best of all. The good guys won! The ending felt so good and rewarding, unlike the Australian version where the winner didn't seem to care about anyone else. Claudia made this show by being so warm and supportive. I loved all the friendships and the genuine care the cast had for each other!
Ugh soooo so good
hey x
i so love Aaron! so caring especially looking after Andrea, Amanda and Meryl! I'm glad that he won as well with Hanna and Meryl!
I usually don’t binge watch shows, The Traitors was the exception.
I feel like what Kieran did was quite cheaty, but I didn't like the ultimatum Wilf pulled afterwards. I was happy for either team to win but when he said his ultimatum I was so pissed.
John saying "CROCODILE TEARS" made me so angry at John
Came across as a nasty piece of work to me… but everyone seemed to love him.
@@csdvideouk yeah, I agree. Hi actions towards especially Aaron were unpleasant in my opinion.
BBC you need to commission another series...this was amazing and it has spread all over, including here in Canada!
Series 2 is out now!
Wilf and Kieran have praised each other elsewhere and Kieran posted a video of them sitting together somewhere else and Wilf joking "parting gift".
Didn’t reveal who his was and wilfs actions afterwards raised suspicions further . Kieran played the game perfectly and made it a great ending. No three don’t need to change the path whatsoever don’t want it to stay being limited or scripted as to what they can say . Anyone could accuse anyone as wilf did throwing all 3 under the bus it’s part of the game . Anyone can always win at any time that’s how it works you play the game all actions have consequences
@@jackhodgson8605 sorry, he might as well have just said "the other traitor is Will" it was so blatant and it was done out of malice as he had lost
im from the netherlands and ive seen every single season of the original dutch one (including the specials), yet UK is my favourite
loved the people and loved how clauds does it!! cant wait for season 2
Editing?
The Winners didn't deserve it. A part from the guy.
Maddy should get her own show, such a great personality and funny as hell
" I would be so good at this: Hello, this is MI5 calling..no they wouldn't say so, would they..??!"

I have now watched the UK version 4 times, the US twice, and Australia once - I love this show! I would smash it!
I was hooked on this show. The best bbc show all year
This show definitely needs a new season its alot better than some of the other shows that bbc have got several seasons of.
But remember, the very first Big Brother was a massive hit because it was such a new and revolutionary idea.
After that, it tailed off somewhat.
I think later seasons would have less of the raw emotion, as it will attract a much more hardened type of contestant willing to form alliances of convenience, take any offer to be a traitor and be much better at hiding any planned betrayals.
@@josephstewart2821 Yeah. I think this will be a one-off in many ways. It was the unpredictability of it all that made it work so well.
