Mexicola was my favourite from QOTSA and now this song smashed that into the ground. Holy crap! Those electric kazooy bits are the fecking best and that guitar is so damn good. This is why I absolutely love Stoner Rock.

I recently happened upon " Them Crooked Vultures" thanks to a Spotify recommendation. Scumbag Blues was the song and the more I listened, the more I fell in love with this guys voice. Now I'm kinda obsessed with QOTSA as well as the Vultures. So happy good music is still be put out in this day and age. Rock on!!!
If you're obsessed with the voice, style, and feel of Josh Hommes work, you should check out "The Desert Sessions" There are about 5 albums (vol 1&2, vol 3&4, vol 5&6, vol 7&8, vol 9&10) and some of the stuff on there came out on later Queens of the Stone Age albums. Its pretty great stuff.
My dear older brother introduced me to Kyuss when I was just getting into music, coming of age and all that. I LOVED them, they inspired me to play guitar. Once I heard that Josh was starting his own thing, I was on board. They released a half Kyuss, half Queens album, and honestly, if you haven't heard it, check it out. I knew right away Josh had the chops to be his own man. It is seriously dope. I saw them in Vancouver for their first shows, and there was maybe 20 of us, and they killlllllled it. And to watch their rise to the top of rock has been pretty cool to see, because early on it was apparent that they deserved it. And by they, I mean Josh, who is the balls...

Ive been low key worshipping this band, and all of the satellite bands (Kyuss, Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures, etc) for over two decades now, and I've somehow missed this track. It's stunning; how it missed the album cut is beyond me. I cant quit listening to it - it just keeps getting better.

In case anyone is wondering, the 'sex' you can hear at the very start of this track is the run-off from the previous track, this is taken from the Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack album.
This has always been the best song not officially on a Queens album. I almost like that it wouldn't really fit on any of them, all the way to Villians. It's a stand alone song with it's own unique production and gives me chills every time that feedback and wall of sound kick in at the chorus.
I agree but would only add so that Homme has so many amazing songs in his catalogue from the craziest side adventures...the bronze comes to mind, personally
