- When headed to a koala sanctuary to go hug some koalas, naturally I expected extreme overdoses of cuteness and a great time. But I had an even better time than I expected! Koalas, kangaroos, dingos, snakes, emus and more...
It's great to get to see these adorable and beautiful animals up close. Definitely recommended if you're in Brisbane!

koalas are very soft and huggable. I had a chance to pet one near Melbourne. To hold one, one has to go to Queensland as that's the only state on the Australian east coast that lets you hold a koala. In New South Wales where Sydney is in, you can't even touch a koala.
Love this video, it's well shot ! In general summer is the most humid and wettest time of the year here, best time is May-October. IMO you went to the best zoo type place with the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. When you go there make sure not to miss the bird of prey show ! It's a great place to combine with an afternoon at the Mt. Cootha Botanical Gardens or evening at the Mt. Cootha lookout. In the city don't miss out on taking one of the city cats, also there is a free boat going around called the city hopper. From Southbank to Queen St. Mall is great for walking around. There's a free swimming area on Southbank, also free to visit art museums with great aircon and clean toilets :D You can go down the river a bit and rock climb at Kangaroo Point. There's also another botanical garden in the city at Roma St. behind the big rail station there. Great for weekend meetups with friends.

koalas are nocturnal and they sleep for like 20 hours a day so there is really no good time to visit them, you just have to be lucky and catch one who is actually being active :)

Great vlog. One of customers has emu's for pets in his garden. I feed them while he's away. I always worry they might peck my eyes out lol

Australia Zoo is also a good place to visit and if ur around that area head up to montville close to Maleny. There is a free national park call Kondalilla.

Australia also eats kangaroos as well. it is suppose to be lean and high in protein. kind of pricey though.

Koalas sleep a lot. i think if i am correct, up to 18 hours a day. They are also suffering in Australia from habitat loss, killings crossing highways, killings from domestic animals like dogs, and they had a virus that was killing them as well. they are the continents most iconic animal and they are going away. how sad.

Who needs koalas anyway. THEY ARE JUST ANIMALS.If they disappeared who cares.They are a dead end anyway.
so you would rather a koala be out in the wild hanging around in gum trees where THEY ARE OFTEN KILLED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT HEALTHY. THEY ARE IN ZOO'S AND CAPTIVITY TO KEEP THEM ALIVE.

They also only eat eucalyptus and they actually can move pretty fast when they want to. there is not a lot of nutrients in the plants so they have to take all day to sit there and process it. How would like to eat only one plant your entire life. pretty crappy.
horses eat more than just grass though. cows well yeah but they can eat all kinds of other plants. Koalas only eat one plant. well tree
