  • I went to the hospital!
The day I posted my last update I was really not doing well. I had been struggling with energy loss for a while and I was not sure why life had been so hard to do recently! I thought it was food or sleep or something and yet couldn't seem to change that and improve! What happened next is me getting so sick that I didn't eat for a week. could barely walk. needed to get multiple bags of IV fluids going to the doctor, throwing up, throat feeling raw, my stomach stopping working well and just overall feeling rough.
I started to recover and decided I would try to make it to Maryland so I didn't lose my plane ticket! God changed my flight and it made my trip go from 11 days in the States and be able to capture AR down to 5 days but at least I wasn't wasting my ticket! I made it back to the States but the trip was hard. I was exhausted but there was so much to do and I had been feeling better so i pushed myself a bit.
then I slowly got worse and worse and worse till I needed to go to the hospital! We waited for hours there.
they kept ordering test after test.
I got IV fluids and it helped me a lot and then I proceeded to rest, get blood drawn, wait for doctors for hours on end and have lots of unknowns.
I had sooooo many ppl ask me questions!
long story short I have mono and was able to finally leave the hospital on thursday at 5pm! we tried walking to the hotel that was super close and I had to stop twice to rest.
I still cant really walk well because i get tired so fast and my flight is on Mon so I am praying for strength for that! I need to make it back to Honduras due to some things that are going on there and timeframes!
I also want to be able to give my beautiful wife a big hug and just embrace her since I feel we have been apart for far too long!
Thank you for praying for me! Thank you for continuing to pray for me!

As I said before don't beat yourself up for having to take rest. The Lord will teach you why this is. The same thing happened with camp in a way. Still praying for you.

I had Mono as a kid! It was awful I missed so much school and I've had so much fatigue it's crazy. I had to take these weird vitamins for my spleen. Never beat yourself up for having to do tests. It's okay! It's better to know than to not know. When in doubt, if you can, let them do the tests! It sucks but that's how you get healthy again. Sending love to you!

@@edda682 I believe its super hard to get once you have had it before! a lot of people are Asymptomatic and dont show any symptoms and its more rare to have someone as old as I am getting it.

I have already prayed for you, and will continue praying for you. Firstly, please take care of yourself and your health….it’s so important and people will understand, even though I know you want to hug your wife. Being sick and feeling awful is depressing and exhausting. Know God has a plan. And, even though it may not feel like it currently, it’s will be an opportunity to minister to other's of how He healed you. Also, I understand wondering “why me” and “why now.” I have MS, and still struggle w/ the “why’s.” I was a nurse, and miss it terribly. It’s been 22 years since having to go on disability and give-up a job I loved. However, I was able to be home w/ my children in the afternoons. My home became the “hangout” for their friends, and I cherish those memories. Both my children are grown: My daughter is an engineer, and my son is a meteorologist. I’m so proud of them, and tell them often, along w/ lots of “I love you’s.” Lastly, God will use your illness in a positive way…trust me. God Bless You and Keep You and Your’s! xxx

Thanks for the impactful story! God shows up even when we dont see it!
I know there is a reason and yet sometimes its so hard in the moments to see it.
Or we may never get to see it but thats ok!
      Appreciate the comment!

@@AndrewLawlin Good for you. Having Covid on top of mononucleosis would be disastrous. The effects of mononucleosis last for weeks, but those of Covid can last for years and be worse. Get well and take care of yourself.
