    I’m weighing up new pop up 40 or sawtooth, what would you recommend if largely doing more day hunting? Pop up’s lack of pockets is a deterrent but maybe I just need to adjust to that as it is the case with a lot of packs.

    Hello! Great review! I am looking into purchasing a pop-up but am having trouble deciding between the 28 & 38. Would you be willing to give a few pros and cons of each and which one you would recommend? No matter which big I go with, it will be on the new style of pop-up frame.

    Is their material quiet, for going through brush stalking?

      I did a najor upgrade from a cabelas pack to a pop up 38. From the creaks and groans of that cheap cabelas bag. The pop up makes no noise, and if you load it up it doesn't move. I barely know its there when its compressed tight

    Could you use the overload for other stuff other than meat ? Like tents, sleeping bags etc ?

      Absolutely! It’s great for all kinds of loads. We’ve used it for camera tripods and shes antlers recently. Thanks for your question! 👍

      Eastmans' Hunting Journals I’m not a hunter at least at the moment but I like the idea of a somewhat smaller pack but with the option for overload if I need it. Thanks for replying. Definitely picking this up shortly

    Can you mount a rifle on the side of the mystery ranch pop up 38 pack? Thanks

    Sure hope you don't run into Tyson Fury after carrying 65 lbs it only took forty to wreck Wilders night.

      Put your purse down and carry that rifle son....... LOL JK. My buddy puts the butt of his gun in one of the side pockets and straps it down it sits a little high but that's what he does.

    Is there a good way to attach a bow to the pack?

    • @pvclassic
      @pvclassic 3 роки тому

      Not really. I spent 3 days on a horse in Idaho with the MR 18L pop up and it was a mess. Had to expand the pack and slide it into the meat hauling area. Great packs but I wish they'd make a bow specific pack.

    Where do people put their bow on these?

      Buy a strap or 2 and lay your bow on the front of the pack put the straps around the bag and bow then cinch it down never had a problem just have to IMPROVISE!

    I sure hope this system is better than the last one! My buddy had the 28 last year. Put an elk quarter in it and the pack completely fell apart within 100 yards. JUNK!

      Very surprised at that. I carried out a whole boned bear with hide and skull last spring and a whole boned mulie last fall. I'm very impressed and pleased. It's a very capable little pack.

      Hey Marcus, Scott here. Very surprised to hear that. I will find the customer service contacts there if he didin't already send it in.

      Eastmans' Hunting Journals mystery ranch was excellent and treated him great. They got him a new metcalf the same day since they were so close. They inspected the pack and admitted that it failed in every way. He ended up keeping the metcalf and they gave him a new pack of his choice for free. Hard to beat that customer service.
