Imagine being any of those youngsters and to think : "That could've been me." and imagine every veteran thinking of at least one big crash they had and survived.
It probably hit hard once again in 2021 when Lando had that big crash in Qualifying at Eau Rouge/Raidillon. If I were Lando in that situation, Hubert’s crash would be all I could think about during and after
Hamilton looks very stoic, his career hasn’t been that different to a F1 champion of the 70s. On race weekends in F1 he’s had a minute silence for Hubert, Bianchi, Wilson, Wheldon and Simoncelli, and Surtees died in F2 in 2009. It’s extremely tough for the young guys like Leclerc, Ocon, Gasly and Russell who knew him, but it must be very tough too for the older, experienced guys who have had this experience far too often.
@@henrik1743 but that wasn’t in a race. But you’re right, it effected Lewis very much because Lewis denied to do interviews after lauda’s death because it was a very tough moment in his career.
Incredible strength shown by mum and brother in memory of Anthoine. Astounding to be able to even be standing there. He must have absolutely adored racing.
They know that their son lives on in every F1 driver who comes out of similar horrific crash , just like how Jules’ death changed the entire motorsport by introduction of Halo which means he is the reason why all the drivers who come out of similar crashes are saved by him .
Smh gone way too soon. What a shame we did not get to see him join Gasly, LeClerc and Ocon in F1. May the Lord have mercy on his young soul. RIP Antoine Hubert
I was there when it happened. The atmosphere changed in an instant. From 30 degrees, blazing sunshine on the Saturday to about half that, overcast and looking like it was going to rain at any moment on the Sunday. Very emotional weekend.
Seeing Grosjean at the beginning after his horrible crash would've hit differently if the outcome of the accident was different as well.. thank god he's still with us RIP Anthoine
Silence at a race track is something that is completely and utterly terrifying. Just watching this video sends chills down my spine due to me knowing the reason why it's silent. rip
How his brother and mother managed to stand there through all that, I will never know. The strength the pair of them displayed is admirable and then some. The drivers were incredibly dignified throughout an incredibly tough situation, George and Kimi looked absolutely distraught in particular and Lando handled that interview so well for a 19 year old. It feels so poignant that the drivers on the grid who knew him best, have all had incredible personal triumphs since - Charles taking his maiden win that same weekend, Pierre winning just over a year beyond his passing, Esteban winning for a French team for the first time in 13 years, and George (his F3 teammate) finally joining the winners enclosure at Interlagos. Rest in peace Anthoine.

@@ntutudlova4649 Of course I respect your feelings on the matter, it's a true shame without a doubt, but it's important to move on, and some people use humor to do that, and some people move on faster than others. he is still on this very track... just one lap ahead of us... twisting and turning, whipping past the finish line at inhumane speed... then suddenly he came to sudden slow crawl.... he heard sounds of rain falling down, as if it were people clapping... echoed around the track...and there it was... in the distance he saw a safety car, something he is familiar with... but several more than he used to see... slowly making a turn around the track... realised something has gone wrong he slowed down even more matching to the speed the safety car... he followed very closely behind them as the sound of the rain echoing throughout the tracks... as the cars nearing the end of the lap... he perked up as he saw the safety cars going into the pit... he waited what felt like a eternity as soon came to an end...just as the last safety car pulled away from the track, he gripped the wheel, push the accelerator and went on blazing around the track like it was nothinggg...
