Avoid These Mistakes when Building Dark Dimension Characters!

- Dark Dimension is one of the most gear intensive game modes in Marvel Strike Force with it usually taking MONTHS for most players to even start playing, let alone finish. So why are people building the WRONG characters up, and who do I think you should build up, RIGHT NOW so that it doesn't hurt your roster overall.

Couple of thoughts/suggestions here:
1. Right now Spider Society is the better option for city over Sinister 6 but city is the easiest so you’ll be fine either way. I also see another Sinister 6 rework before I see another purpose for Spider Society in the DISTANT future.
2. OML is raid-viable. He basically guarantees the mutant node sims when you replace Cyclops with OML.
3. I argue that VK is far less powerful in DD than the Eternals. He’s a 1 trick pony. Vahl does what you want VK does at a far higher level in DD. I know it’s a lot of mystic gear but it frees up bio for Skrull and other bio characters.
4.Doom over Dorm. People that have completed DD7 say Doom is better on a 4-man team. He gives the best character in the game 3 turns! Plus as power creeps up he’ll need to survive to use his ult. Dorm doesn’t need to be huge to do his primary thing: revives…

Spider society members are a good shout for city super useful in alot of game modes also
One issue I have with Robbie, *as a new player*, is that I don’t find him as amazing as all the veterans say, at his low star level that I have - which is 3. Problem is, he’s in CC store which is very crowded right now (Night Crawler, Red Goblin, Black Knight, let alone Peggy, Abomination, and many other secondary priority in there), so for new player, I feel like Robbie is a 100% no-go. He’s very hard to unlock for new player, not good at lower star, and there’s no hope to rank him up in any near future.
At a side by side, I ran SpSoc at about same star along side him in DD4 and Robbie dies early while SpSoc carries it for him every node. Still, I’ve been warned that they’ll fight for the same resource if I want to bring the full team in. What’s your thought on that? Right now I think I need them at G18 for raid, so they’ll be there in DD6 for me, but as for DD7, I’m still up for any suggestions.
SBT did well in city. Took Robbie + Vulture + SBT + Peni + Noir. Each node was a comfortable 2-shot.
I got the same exact teams lined up for my run. I currently have enough crimson gear for my city and global teams and already have Apoc, SuS, BK, OML, RR, and NC at g19. I'm so short on mystic gear for the cosmic section tho, so i probably won't start my run until I have at least the gear needed for the cosmic team as well. I dont see any benefit in starting your run if you're just going to get stuck on a certain section. Maybe a better toon comes out that you'd rather bring in during the time you're still acquiring gear, so it doesn't make sense to start unless you can get thru a majority of DD
Keep in mind dd7 gives rewards per node. I would at very least do the first 2 nodes. It doesn't hurt you at all to start IF you already have characters strong enough to get in the door. Stats are for the timed run. I say get in there!

VK is absolutely not a no-brainer for Cosmic anymore IMO, since OML kicked him out of Arena. And Alien Spores.

@@TheMongooliShow I'm doing Photon, cheap and uses a unique that isn't in demand. From my experience so far I can tell you that Gwen is amazing in City, I would 100% take her again over VK when it comes to a 2nd toon after SuS for Alien Spores.
That's fair, I just don't see her being as useful for as long as VK in the rest of the game. Time will tell I guess
@@TheMongooliShow Ultimately the most useful thing is getting Mephisto. Do I regret Stitcher or Photon for DD6... Hell no because they allowed me to finish DD6 in the Top 2k FTPa (bought the very first Strike with g18 at the time).
1 or 2 days faster? Sorry Mr Mongooli but I’ve been waiting close to 10 days just for 1 specific mini-unique. So many variables but like yourself I indulge in buying the passes so I have to pick 2 (ish) low resource cost toons to complement 3 (ish) more expensive toons. Worked for DD5 onwards, managed to get the unlock toon way ahead of the masses.

The Bice thing is, as long as you have these teams they will work, and added bonus if you have OML or apoc because you get more use out if them too! Keep grinding bud, you're doing great!

OML now used in Mutant section of Raids instead of Cycolops

I always take raid teams to DD. With that said the first 3 nodes were made for Vahl, Apoc, and Super Skrull. I took Robbie over Vahl and he is always the first to die. If I was to do it again I would definitely take Vahl, just for her rez.
