The STRV you tested was the STRV103-0, the simulation has ribbed armor which means its at least the STRV 103A, which can stop some APFSDS. Also of note is that in the simulation the engine compartment and crew compartment are not simulated when in reality the remnants of the penetrator would be eaten by the engine and any spall stopped by the 30mm plate separating the compartments.
@@P455w0rds As someone with many matches in the jumbo, have never been frontally penned by a panther with the 75mm. Now with the fictional Panther II I have been since it has a long 88mm. Honestly don't even know why it shows the Jumbo being penned through, again literally have never had it happen.
@@muhameddjudjuza9881the E100 never had a maus turret in the blueprints... funnily enough, WoT has a more accurate depiction of what an E100 turret would look like.
A big problem with shells with HE filler is that they often do not explode when shooting at thick angled plates, since the rear of the projectile shatters and renders the fuse ineffective. Also, simulating explosions is a computational NIGHTMARE, which is why there is so little simulations of HE or HEAT(FS) shells, not even talking about projectile AND explosion.

The worst part is people in WTUDS will swear up and down that the armor acts realistically and that if you’re getting killed it’s a skill issue. I got one shot through my clickbait turret cheeks at where gaijin says is the thickest part of my armor.
In fact, the panther could have pierced the jumbo, but from a different angle and its own, so there is no penetration, there are different angles there
The last showed a later Strv 103 variant due to the showing of ribbed armor while the WT vehicle you used didn't, leading to also the fact that in the simulation the APFSDS round wouldn't have enough power to also blow through the entire engine compartment and another 30 mm plate leading to unrealistic. The first was a wrong angle but the second was fair and you even technically hit a worse spot as the slight angle would have made the shot harder to pen.

Куки синобу собираем мостерство стихий (увеличивает урон реакций), синцю и путешествиннику востоновление энергии (позволяет чаще использовать взрыв стихий). 4) никогда не трать примогемы на синие крутки, НИКОГДА. 5) собирай ВСЁ что видишь, травки всякие, камушки, берём, сундуки тоже. 6) открывай все телепорты, это сильно ускорит премещение. Возможно многое не понимаешь, но в будущем всё поймёшь
The first one is too close to judge accurately. I mean the shell almost went through in the simulation, and would have absolutely created a significant amount of spall that could kill or injure the crew inside. I wouldn't say the game really got it wrong. Also what ranges are these set to? In War Thunder The Panther can only penetrate the UFP of the Sherman Jumbo at like almost point blank. I checked the simulation you have presented, and it states that it is simulating a shot from 550 meters. They also omit the explosive filler, which would have added to the damage. Have you made sure to set your test in the game to 550 meters?
About E100/Maus debate. Entwicklungsserie 100 has mounted unrealjsric maus Turret in-game, while in reality it would've been equipped wirh Krupp tower, due ro Maus turret being too heavy for E100 hull.
Funny thing is, War Thunder and simulation is basically... just a hypothetical thing. So ya, let's see if we can test that on the real tanks- oh wait.... we can't for historical keeping purposes.
The quality if the german ammunation is to high in War Thunder. The quality of german ammunation in real life got drasticly worse the longer the war went even tho the technolology improved

The STRV you tested was the STRV103-0, the simulation has ribbed armor which means its at least the STRV 103A, which can stop some APFSDS. Also of note is that in the simulation the engine compartment and crew compartment are not simulated when in reality the remnants of the penetrator would be eaten by the engine and any spall stopped by the 30mm plate separating the compartments.

A big problem with shells with HE filler is that they often do not explode when shooting at thick angled plates, since the rear of the projectile shatters and renders the fuse ineffective. Also, simulating explosions is a computational NIGHTMARE, which is why there is so little simulations of HE or HEAT(FS) shells, not even talking about projectile AND explosion.

some you cant test drive, like the maus or panther ii, only premiums, but you can still view them in the hanger

The worst part is people in WTUDS will swear up and down that the armor acts realistically and that if you’re getting killed it’s a skill issue. I got one shot through my clickbait turret cheeks at where gaijin says is the thickest part of my armor.
In fact, the panther could have pierced the jumbo, but from a different angle and its own, so there is no penetration, there are different angles there
The last showed a later Strv 103 variant due to the showing of ribbed armor while the WT vehicle you used didn't, leading to also the fact that in the simulation the APFSDS round wouldn't have enough power to also blow through the entire engine compartment and another 30 mm plate leading to unrealistic. The first was a wrong angle but the second was fair and you even technically hit a worse spot as the slight angle would have made the shot harder to pen.

Куки синобу собираем мостерство стихий (увеличивает урон реакций), синцю и путешествиннику востоновление энергии (позволяет чаще использовать взрыв стихий).
4) никогда не трать примогемы на синие крутки, НИКОГДА.
5) собирай ВСЁ что видишь, травки всякие, камушки, берём, сундуки тоже.
6) открывай все телепорты, это сильно ускорит премещение.
Возможно многое не понимаешь, но в будущем всё поймёшь

The first one is too close to judge accurately. I mean the shell almost went through in the simulation, and would have absolutely created a significant amount of spall that could kill or injure the crew inside. I wouldn't say the game really got it wrong.
Also what ranges are these set to? In War Thunder The Panther can only penetrate the UFP of the Sherman Jumbo at like almost point blank. I checked the simulation you have presented, and it states that it is simulating a shot from 550 meters. They also omit the explosive filler, which would have added to the damage. Have you made sure to set your test in the game to 550 meters?
