Very nice, love the presentation of this video. Extremely helpful !
Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed your critique on the different cases. Never really put any thought into how the figures are held in and how the weapons are displayed. Thanks for the helpful info.
Thanks for watching Jeff!
Yes, let’s have one done for MOC. Thanks John!
Thanks so much Eduardo!
Great Video!!! Thanks Mr. Action Figure Grader.
😂🤣
Just John or AFG
Really love the UKG baggie case. Nice video
Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed the ranking video, John. I'd definitely like to see one for graded MOCs also.
Thanks for watching David!
Absolutely make the graded card display case video. I found this really interesting, thank you.
Thanks for watching Stu!
Super informative video! I didnt have much knowledge of the UKG ceasing before this. Please do the MOC comparison video
Thanks! Will do!
Always like your educational videos. 👍
Thanks so much for watching Frank
Thank you for another epic video, John! AFA will still repair a broken case on a loose figure submission “IF” it was just shipped back to you and happened to be damaged in transit. The recipient just needs to be expeditious in their correspondence with AFA and they will stand by their work. However, after a certain grace period has elapsed, you’re going to be on your own without the possibility of a repair or re-case as they’re “temporarily” suspending all loose figure grading.
Thanks for the info Eduardo!
Love it and keep them coming, hope to see the mint on card version. Thanks!
Many thanks S.T.R.
Great video, thank you for all of the time and energy spent in putting these together, I always look forward to watching. One thing regarding AFA that I don’t particularly care for is the rectangular acrylic pieces behind the legs that make it difficult to clearly see the COO stamping on the backs of the legs. I wish they’d at least be more specific on the labels with the COO info, (UKG seems to be the most informative on the label for COO info). They all for sure should give more detailed COO label info for caped figures as that info is forever obscured once it is cased. I know it would add considerable research from the grading companies, but as time goes by, collectors are becoming more aware of rarity and desirability regarding COO variations.
Absolutely an important point. I forgot to mention that, and it drives me crazy with AFA. You need to be able to see the backs of the figures legs for the date stamps.
I prefer the dowels. I don't like how the J hooks obscure the figure. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching and sharing T.O.T.
Definitely did not hate it and I would love to see a MOC comparison
Thanks for watching 👀
Great video have been contemplating this exact question recently!! Have to agree I prefer the saber to be seperate & not in hand!! It presents nicer as well. Great topic John!!
Thanks for watching Starkiller
Very intersting video .
Thanks for visiting!
Would love an on card grading company review
Thanks for watching!
Love the video give us more
Many thanks Tony!
Great video, I think all three are very good but some figures present better than others depending on the grading company. I feel that UKG is definitely doing a better job when it comes to first twelve figures. I recently picked up a Vader in a UKG case because of worrying about buying one in a CAS case with the weapon in hand. I also saved myself over $100 by avoiding going the AFA route all together. It was a Win win situation from the wallet and presentation standpoint.
Well done! Thank you for watching 👀 🙏
Wonderful video John! Really interesting mate. Definitely do the equivalent for carded display cases 👍
Thanks, will do one soon!
So the perfect case would be J-hooks and pedestal from CAS, and the etched encapsulation of all weapons from UKG with the clean lines and less bubbles of the case in general from AFA?
I’d agree with that. I also prefer the CAS labels since they are slightly easier to read. I know you didn’t mention labels, but I do want to mention that myself.
I would say that would be the perfect case. I would prefer the UKG labels personally.
I didn't know dowl's were kind of a pain, please do a carded video thanks John
Thanks for watching Cisco
I don’t have many graded MOCs but make the video John. Love the information. Off topic, but how do you feel the Morphy auction will affect the MOC market on eBay over the next few months? Prices going up or down on like items?
Thanks for watching Michael...I don't think these prices affect the market at all, honestly. Sort of an anomaly in terms of prices to me.
I prefer the CAS’ J-hooks over the dowels. Definitely a cleaner presentation. However, I hate how CAS figures can have one of the limbs pushed back or foward. AFA places the acrylic blocks on the back to secure the figures position, but the view of the figure from behind is greatly diminished. Recessed casing for the accessories are by far the best way to go. Too bad they are going away from that style. I like AFA’s labels over CAS labels though. Great video as always!
Agreed on all points. I think it's important to be able to see the COO and with AFA cases, you can't. Sort of weird to me.
Nice 👍 items in your collection buddy
Thanks 👍
I would much rather prefer the lightsabers to be separate in the case, especially any of the older sabers with letters on them. I saw this too late, all of my returned figures are holding the lightsabers.
Yeah CAS needs to make that change permanent in my opinion
Ya, I know what you mean about the weapon being at an angle in that display case, I don’t think my OCD can handle it.😂
I've gotten used to it but still prefer the recessed case
Can any of these cases or this style of case be purchased anywhere?
No these are graded so you have to submit the items to the companies for grading.
CAS have a great product. Shame that their quality control is by far the worst of the three companies.
Yes, I hope that they continue to improve their QC as I have certainly had my issues with them in the past.
UKG 4 LIFE lol
We need UKG, CAS, and AFA to reproduce together and create the perfect, genetically-enhanced Super Grading Case.
I do like the little angel of the long weapons in the case with the hook clips, gives it a bit of flare👌but the laser cut style does look the best straight up and down 👍Is part of the grade on a loose figure include the condition of the weapon?
I assume that it is since.with DT saber figures, the inner filament greatly affects grade
Oh ok, I guess if you have a great condition figure, better make sure the weapon is too 👍
