This theme rox 💪 especially the end credits. Kudos to Jack Urbont. This and Hold on to Love are my favs. As for the recreation, I'm actually impressed. Thanx for the upload 🆒🎦👍
Awesome job! I was only 11 so not watching soaps for about another 4 years, but I would give a right arm to have a dvd set of all episodes from 1981-1985 or so. Would love to go back in time to those days, sigh, pre-covid, 9/11, $5.00 gas, dotards, death of record stores, etc.
I actually love this disco theme so much as it blended the soap theme with the fun disco vibes so much to perfection. I'd say this is their 2nd best theme behind the 1983 one that they replaced the disco one with.
Nice!!! Only observation...Pam K. Long Hammer did not take over as head writer until late fall 1983. In 1982, the late great Doug Marland was wrapping his unparalleled reign as head writer to be followed by a disappointing Pat Falken Smith and L. Virginia Browne.
Well Edwyn...what do I think?...between you and Matt Bingel's recreations, I say that both of you do a very fine job. FUN FACT: Did you know that Matt Bingel and I are from the same state (Md. that is.)
First of all - where is "Dr. Sara McIntyre": portrayed by MILLETTE ALEXANDER - she was on GUIDING LIGHT for all of 1982?!?! Also LONG/KOBE were NOT involved with GL in 1982 - they didn't get involved until some point in 1983. It would be very nice if this was accurate - which it is not.
So.... What.... do you.... think?
Love it!! how about a another world Closing 81-87 theme 2019 long version
@chuck b, I’ll give it my best!
I love it!
I think it is very great! Add more soon!
I’ve never seen that background but I must say that it looks so real.
This theme STILL sends shivers up my spine! I love it! Reminds me of how GL was superb TV!
I just noticed the Bobby Spaulding credit...PRICELESS!!
Okay who is Bobby Spaulding?
@@CaliforniaGuy888 Bobby Spaulding doesn't really exist...he's a character imagined by our fair creator here...it was a charming touch...
It COULD have been the love child of Alan and a Rita’s. 😆
This may be my favorite GL theme ever and it's sad it lasted such a short time...
PAMELA LONG was NOT the Headwriter in 1982 nor were many of the Actors on this "imagined" Credits on GL then.

Very good!
Great job!!!

Sweet
I have grown to love this theme.The closing credits sound much better then the opening.

That, and where is "Dr. Sara McIntyre" (as played by MILLETTE ALEXANDER) in the Cast List? She was on GL for ALL of 1982.
@@michaelwilcox7750 definitely
83-87 was addicted to GL

Wow! I honestly didn’t know that. That is one good fun fact. Thanks for sharing it.
How about a long credit crawl Guiding Light 1983 closing featuring the new theme, "My Guiding Light"?
Well, I am planning on doing a closing with that one. I’ll give it a go.
@@EdwynNSanchez Awesome!
Any chance you'd create us an MP3 of this one? It's much clearer than one that has circulated for years...
If only I had a clean copy of it..... I’ll make sure I convert this version into an mp3 and add it into my mediafire folder.
@@EdwynNSanchez Thanks! Please let us know when you do!
@@EdwynNSanchez And, yeah, wouldn't having a clean copy of this one be wonderful!
@Jake Tanner - I’ll keep you updated
