One year for Christmas my folks bought both my brother and I a Learn To Draw with John Gnagy kit. We were thrilled. This may sound silly but to this day, around 60 years later, I still use some of the techniques he taught. I still can’t draw worth a hoot but I have fun.
@@frozenbits48 It didn’t do me any favors that I’m hard of hearing. I sign but no one in my family does since I can speak. I had entertained thoughts of either auto design or something transportation related but, as I’ve said, drawing is/was not my strong point!

Same thing here, I think it was 1957 or 58. My parents soon realized I had no art skills whatever.

I remember my brother and I both watching and drawing together with Jon, many, many years ago.
Great video! I'd never heard of him so I looked it up! His last name is actually "Gnagy"!😁
Just like Bob Ross, John Gnagy had a relaxing way about him and his presentation. TV was so much better back then.
I remember watching John Gnagy on tv. I even had his "Learn to Draw" kit. I didn't learn to draw. No talent. 😁
Yea, clowns are evil.
