What is the Abstraction? In simple terms, it’s a linear representation of the head, using flowing rhythmical curves that trace the connections between anatomical shapes and features. It’s a tool to help you improve the construction of your drawings, and is especially helpful in drawing heads at extreme angles.

I have been following Court's instruction throughout this caricature
course. I am amazed, not only by how much better my caricatures are,
which weren't too bad to begin with ( if I may say so) but also the
remarkable improvement in my realistic/representational portraits (Even
though I was already quite familiar with the Reilly abstraction)
Focusing on the exaggeration as well as subtleties of what makes a specific face unique has really given me a better understanding of the features and how small
changes can have such a significant impact on the likeness. Before
following this course I definitely overlooked these "minor" details. I
am truly grateful. Thank you Court!
Great video, my teacher Cedric Egeli studied with Frank Reilly at the Art Students League in the early 60s. These lines were a large part of my training.

More than likely it's Photoshop, but there are now Sooooo many competing softwares (ClipArt Studio, Procreate, etc.) that it could be something else.
I watch Court’s old digital art livestreams, he uses Photoshop as his primary from what I’ve seen
I wasn't taught this is my college course, my caricature ended up looking really weak and I was not happy with it. I think I might try again after learning this "hidden technique"
They don't teach you anything in art school they expect you to know everything already people only go to Art School to like improve their portfolio to get hired by Disney or something

Thanks for the nice comments. I wish we could charge less. But aside from the 4 years of work I put into designing, writing and filming this course in my own spare time, Stan's large crew puts everything together and actually makes it happen. And those are real labor and office costs that he incurs. I think we're just about the cheapest options out there, though, for what you get in the premium courses. A lot of online classes, or simple, downloadable tutorial series can costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars, or more. In the end, at some point, a learning artist has to decide about investing in their education and how they can juggle their priorities to make that happen. I hope you will be able to do so. :)
I'm not entirely sure what "not everybody has the money to..." has to do with the cost of anything. If Proko and Court didn't charge for their services, "Proko and Court wouldn't have the money to..." anything.
+Court Jones seems like I underestimated the work that has to be put into this. Of course I understand you have to charge money for the Premium students. Allow me to take my critique back!

This is not actually teaching the abstraction so u can use it in realistic heads. Why would anybody want to learn this before that?
