Chorus:
Every time I make a run
Girl, you turn around and cry
I ask myself, "Why, oh, why?" (One-two, one-two)
See, you must understand, I can't work a nine to five
So I'll be gone 'til November (One-two, one-two)
Said I'll be gone 'til November, I'll be gone 'til November
Yo, tell my girl, yo, I'll be gone 'til November
I'll be gone 'til November, I'll be gone 'til November (Ready?)
Yo, tell my girl, yo, I'll be gone 'til November (One-two, one-two)
January, February, March, April, May
I see you cryin', but girl, I can't stay
I'll be gone 'til November, I'll be gone 'til November
And give a kiss to my mother (Y'all ready?)

Anyone else just randomly remembered this song?
speak of random... was watching "always sunny in philadelphia" and the crew started singing it... lol caught me off guard to say the least.
This song came out the time as Brimful of asha,
@@barnabyjones9766that’s what reminded me of it
Yeah today 💯
Every year
The violins make this song amazing with the lyrics
Mind blown, can't believe Bob Dylan is in this video!
bob dylan once made a hip hop song with kurtis blow called street rock
The master is still among us.
A JOURNEY EAST can I take the journey? ;)
+A JOURNEY EAST I seem to remember that he was jut passing through, and happened to be in the lyrics, so they put him in the video
My older brotha had this on a cd I used to borrow it when he wasn't home run and play it on the Living Room. I'm 33 now
This song had been heavy on my brain lately, don't know why, but Wyclef Jean is brilliance!!!
2022 and I'm still listening to this song,Wyclef is such a legend.
boas na hora certa amigo
Quarantined till November 2020. 😷 Bless Friends. 👽👽👽
Well played
Classic
😂
That’s why I came to see the video....Idk what’s going on but I remember Trump saying don’t worry it will all be gone in Nov....In reference to the CV..... @Lana Larue
November 2022
This song is a masterpiece in storytelling. The depth of emotion is amazing.
You know say what you want about Wycleaf but that man can write a goddamn song #IASIP ❤️
He could have came out with this song in 1910, 1970, 1998, or 2021....it would be a hit in any time period
No it wouldn’t… don’t be silly 😂
No way would they have listened to this before the 60s,would not have been a hit in 1910,they just didn't have this music back then
They don’t have this type of music today
Best and Only Version that Should Ever Played...Such a Beautiful and Classic...Was probably last generation of Real chords of life and ability to comprehend Love...The World feels very empty now we need LOVE
MrJarvishead Well you're very wrong sir. If you can't see how the evil entertaiment industrie works then you still have much to learn.
Yes sir you are right. The best version is this
MrJarvishead lmao open your eyes
Classic Wyclef! One of my wife's favorite songs....she was born in November and we were obligated in November! Great song!
This is the definition of art - means something different to each person
Still gives me chills when Bob Dylan appears.
Indeed
Shows how much he thinks of Jean. Bob doesn’t make cameos on anyone’s videos save a select few. Class act on both artists.
@@littlewing6231 And that was long before "critical race theory" and "BLM". It def means a lot here, but I'm pretty sure he has a black daughter so that might have something to do with it
@@nugsymalone1247 It was 1997. You think it was that odd that a white artist would be in a black dude’s video back then? In 1957, sure, but by the 90s I don’t think it was that out of place.
@@boscopappas234 I thought it was odd Bob would show up in a hip hop artists video, not because hes white, just they are pretty different
How does this amazing song only have 9M views in a world of 7billion...
Newer generations have very bad taste in music.
@@crunchy_crop true
So fitting to have Bob in this. The man of the Never Ending Tour, he's definitely told a few women and children, "I'll be gone 'til November."
2024 anyone?😅
We're here still enjoying the harmony

Yeeessssssssss😊
Yeah ❤some die with there name some nameless 🎧🎶
Top!!This is remember of the days of hyschool
1998. Beautiful. Thank you, Wyclef. A great Non-MALT LIQUOR Video.
I miss the 90s! Please come back

Tomas Lileika There was no youtube in 1997
Thank you Wyclef for this beautiful song ! Love from Morocco ❤❤❤
Wyclef made a brilliant song about drug dealing. Very clever with a hint of elegance to it. Kudos to him
YASS. ALL of the WHOLE factsss. Most people don't know it's a true trap song. 💕💯🙏🏼✨
@@fahrenlynn99 lol trap folk music
I love this version way more than the one on the record.
I was in Elementary going into Middle School when this song came out. Greatest time of My life and Hip Hop, the 90's was everywhere.
November 2022. Wyclef should be back by now.🤞🏿😂🔥
Rest in Peace Daddy. Shine on 🙏.
This song brings lots of good memories to me. It was released around the time my Dad passed on. I loved him so much; and it as well made me famous in school as the famous cowboy who mimed and played it the school variety show.... Was awesome. Thanks Wycliffe... Cleftic🙏😀😂😂😍💪 Sept. 2019 Strong.
I remember seeing this video on MTV . way back in late 90's when i was living in panama city Florida . i went on the local bbs internet chat room and said wrote about this video . touching song & video.
wow awesome, such a great song and such an interesting legacy, 1 love
I remember dating a Girl who said she didn't like this song and from that moment I knew we didn't have a future
Sending love from Chicago IL 2024 #Fullertonartgallery
Always sunny brought me here 😂😂 thank you
I bought this on a limited edition cd on release DONT know why I listen to Motörhead and the like ,this song is quite beautiful and always stood with me.
U must understand I can’t work a 9-5.. I can relate with that so much
First it was wake me up when September ends. Now this. I'll see yall next month.
This song has taunted me for 23 years (I am 31 now). I first heard it in 1997 when I was 7/8 years old. I was on a school trip to Henley Fort in Guildford. The only lyric which stuck with me was 'WHY OH WHY' and the tune. I've hummed it to people angrily hoping they could tell me what it is. No help. So for 23 years its been in my head but I never found out what it was. Untill today!! 23 years PEOPLE!!
Happy the torment is over & the joy has begun. Peace.
I know the feeling. Thats happened with me on a few other songs before
Glad you find it. Been there, done that and still looking for other classic tunes.
Your mistake was probably trying to get others of your own age to figure out what it was, when you should have targeted people 15-20 years older than you and they could have told you sooner. I'm a metal head but I remember hearing this one on the radio. If you think that's bad, I've been on the lookout for a 70's cartoon since I was little and all I know about it was there was a little boy who found a secrete passageway and he went exploring. Now in my 40's and still can't find that cartoon movie that captivated little 6 or 7 year old me. I know the feeling! It may seem trivial sure but I bet it feels so liberating. Congrats!
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism agree with you on this. I had to ask my brother about The Art of Sound. As soon as I hummed the beat to him he knew exactly what the tune was. If I didn't I'd still be humming the song like a clueless fool. Thank God for older brothers and of course elders in general.
I have all ways loved this song🤗🤗
I watched this appear for the first time on MTV when I was 9 years old
2019 I'm here enjoying this in November
November 6, 2019 and Wyclef still hasn't come back.
Bob Dylan I never realized that's him seating next to Wycelf ...sweet
Twas the 90s and if you were a 80's baby you knew how awesome this was in high school in the 90s
i love 💕 this song!
"June.. July... August..."
The little lad would be a grown up by now.
Say what you will about Wyclef, he may have stolen from his own people but the man can write a goddamn song.
I’ve looked for this version for years and finally found it so much better than that other one.
I remember watching this on MTV when I was like 5 and always stuck with me.
I feel like im back in 2006
+Marc Riddell Back in 98!

Artist of our time. And top 10 in guitar skills .. Put respect on this man's name
When this song came out my niece was 2 years old and she wanted me to play it song over and over. Now she's all grown with a child of her own. When he was 2 has me play Sam Smith's Stay over and over.

For anyone who has had to leave loved ones weather it be in the service for school to do a bid in prison the pain of leaving all feels the same and the deep feeling that this may be it you may never see them again. This song captures that feeling like nothing I have ever heard before. Till this day.
Music Is a Gift From God 💎🙏🏿
This is Luis Suarez's favourite song right now!
Got hooked eversince the first time I heard it 10 yrs ago...and I would gladly return to this gem, everytime a beautiful soul reacts to this comment....and we'll be gone till November
all the dislikes have no soul
Just 🤯 over the fact that this song is actually a trap song. Makes much sense after years go by. Genius move Clef. 👏🏾

The Legend Wyclef Jean. Big tune
Legendary ❤
I brought myself here. Shout out to those didn’t come here from Always Sunny.
I love the song but always sunny reminded me to come back and listen
What the the hell is always sunny?
Blahammad Ali one of the greatest tv shows of all time
Agreed oh, don't know what that is but this lyric popped up in my head and I realized I'd be nice to hear it again after 20 something years.
I also finally understand why he talks about cemeteries and have confirmation that he does say aphrodisiac
I'm 42, still listening 🎶
Interesting song.....🎶🎼🎶🎼🎶
Childhood memories
I'm here cause it's November!!!!!!
Love this song so much, sounds so good to this day
Black entertainment television , I used to watch it as a kid
I feel this song rn !
It may sound weird, but the first thing I remember while listening to this song is my trip to Sweden in summer 1998 as a 16 year old boy, scratching my body all day long because of hundreds of mosquito bites, canoeing on the lakes and drinking cans of beer that we brought there from Germany because any kind of alcohol is so expensive in Scandinavia.
The Defiant ones brought me here, long live the Fugees who gave a voice to all refugees around the world. We are now in a state of Universal Peace!
Takes me back to my teenage years
Need this version of the song in Spotify. * I know there’s 3 versions of this song.
Album version/ Pop version/ Remix.*
Genius
bob dylan in the vid is too fire
Much better than the album version
My man use to be on the block n used to sing this all the time leaving in the morning 🤣
Always Sunny in Philadelphia brought me here
I remember when MTV premiered this video.
I'm from 1984!
I just now figured out what this song means!
2023 wake up 4 am to play that master piece “ 📝
I had a weird flash of Dee singing this in my head and had to listen to it
Same😂
Same, except mine was Charlie trying to sing along when he didn't even know the song
Mac: YOU DON'T KNOW THE SONG.
Charlie: I don't know the song but it has a good beat to it.
I'm always singing this
Heyy fellow iasip fans
Charlie you don't even know the song
+DeutschKev "June and July, August, September" hahahaha
+DeutschKev He does know how to tap the tainted water in Flint, though.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHHAHA

June and July, August, September...
+Charlie Kelly you don't know the song
+Charlie Kelly You made my day.
+Ngéntot McKontolssen You made my day too.
lmao
+Charlie Kelly I love you
I love how he's just sitting there in the terminal with Bob Dylan and then Bob Dylan disappears, like a ghost.
As far as I'm concerned Jean should've won the AMA for this MASTERPIECE Album
Yes. That album is absolutely fantastic 🎉
You're not wrong!!!
100% agreed! Of all his tracks even with his most famous fuguee hits, this is the 1 I always come back too & gives off major emosh feels! ❤️
Underrated composer and writer for sure
It has a good bounce to it.
Always_Serpico "You dont know the song. You dont know the song"
Yes, it bounces like a misdated cheque.
*check
The original version from the album has a really good bounce, this one is a lot different.
oldie, but goodie, love love love this jam! #snapswyclef

As a prisoner this song touched me in the worst way. I left the house November 26th on a run to KC. Got popped on the 27th pf November. Released 13 years later November 15. Felt it to my bones while doing my time. Crazy memories.
Just wondering, but what did you go to prison for? 🤔you don't have to answer if you don't want to of course.
@@ganjaman407 trafficking. I am from a border town where its the norm to be dealing with hundreds of pounds of reggy from a young age.

For people who do not know, this album ‘Wyclef Jean Presents: The Carnival’ was rated as the best album of the year by billboard music magazine. Fully deserved. 👍🏼👌🏼
💯
But who know the true meaning behind the song.. croptober
@@Scribz1987 yup yup. Very few.
All of the Fugees as individual artists seem to be very talented.
