Song always speaks to me how life gets harder just stand up straight and posture good all the pain I've had last few years thank you Jesus got a reason to never give up
I am dying of ALS at 31, always loved you Tupac. I hope I see you on the other side. You were a true poet, and really knew what was wrong with this crooked world. GOAT. Rip Tupac
People here are saying: "2pac wrote this song Changes when he was 19 years old! Let that sink in." But let something else sink in: Almost 30 years after this has been recorded the lyrics are still very much relevant. Pretty much nothing has *CHANGED* yet.
I was just after turning 4 when Pac died. All the news coverage and MTV made me curious about who he was. After finding out, I've been hooked on his music since. He's the reason for my taste in music and my social conscious to this day. I'm pushing 30 now.
I think his death robbed him of that. It's Eminem. Eminem was such an influential rap artist that Tupac's black panther mother chose Eminem to produce her son's 7th and final posthumous album. That's CRAZY considering how even today we got niggas like the game tryna take credit away from Eminem when he was respected among literal black panthers.
bro he was also just a part of the big club, nothing special, 2pac wanted a president that really cared for the poor people and opressed minorities, obama didn't and biden wont too
You all make valid points but they are all flawed. No one can save you in this life but yourself. I can assure you even if the US got the "blackest" president, nothing would change if black people didn’t embrace change. This is the bitter truth.
Thats not good at all.... that shit was going on back then and its still going on today thats horrible there has literally been no change things have to get really bad b4 they get better and thats whats happening
eddy roy love pac and i wish he were here too, but even if he was i doubt music today would be anty different. Tupac was more of a poet IMO and a great one at that even a great rapper. nit thing changes. look how many old school rappers arew still here and they changed with the time. there really doing nothing great. Snoop dogg had success again with songs like Drop it like its hot, and nothing against snoop but i hated that song. Eminem gto Dre back to rapper fro a minute he put out another great album. lets hope for another. thign change like tupac said in thsi video. even if he was a live we be always wishing it was still yesterday. we all do no matter what were talking about. but yesterday is gone and today is a new day new era. people come people go. Theres still good music to be made we just have to be open minded about it. This era is gone and even if it was ever bought back it wouldt work it wouldnt be the same. But thank god we have youtube to release these days. music makes me very nostalgic and emotional, its one of my passions, and even i went through that faze of this new shit sucks. YEa most of the mainstream still does but i learned to open more and im starting to like music again. THeres plenty people here on YT doing music, some even doing covers which are better than originals. I don't like Miley or the biebs so i never give her songs a chance but i've heard covers of her songs that sound amazing. With rap its all about a catchy beat and chorus with just words thrown in there. In a way i get it hiphop had to change because everyone wrapped about the struggle and stuff in 80s an 90s that it had to change sometime. If pac was still alive id think he still be doing good music but wouldnt compare to his old shit and prob wouldve changed up his style. well then again now that im thinking Jay-z still out there making money and lil wayne (though dont care for wayne) even Eminem came out and changed up his style with Recovery and than again with MMlp2. I still think Tupac would still be a great influence on black youth and just all youth in general. I think and just hope hed never conform to that auto-tune/clubs and bitches/punch line rap shit. and hed still be giving us stories which would be good but idk if theyd be great? hed get to a point where he cant rap about the struggle no more because he'll be rich. I think hed be a hollywood star acting in great movies and still doing music on the side and releasing shit when make gold or even silver. where do you think hed be today? THe only thing im glad about surrounding his death is we never seen nor ever will him fail. not that i think he would but with today's youngins on the net who knows what shit they'd do to this man. oh man sorry for the long post just finished my energy drink lol and got carried away.
K.Jojo that mainsteam shit isnt hiphop, its just a form of rap. Eminem, Jayz are still hiphop. NAs though hes not as big as he was. Kenya to me does geat music even though i cant stand the guy, but i see him as popish hiphop. Lok online i think you can find some real hiphop out their still being made. its hard but it out there. one kid i like because hes more of a poet like Pac, nas, dmx, and Em, is Goerge Watsky. Hes not everyone cup of Tea and understadn that his music is a bit hipop but more poetry to me. he was even one the last episode of def jams poetry show.??? was it called that i cant remember its been so long. He is white though, but that not what makes me like him, if it was than id like MGK, and mac miller which i dont, but macklemore is pretty good to me. Goerge actually was the kid who had that viral video in like 2010 of white kid rap fast. which was cool. ONe of my favorite songs of his is 4am cuz its speaks about the music industry and hip-hop today as well as other things. at least give that song a shot. he also does stuff with a live band at times which i love. My younger brother does rap, i guess its a bit hiphop. im biased cua hes my bro but i think his musics pretty cool theyve been changin too and getting better. I dont liek all there songs but the ones i do like are really good. Their best song IMO got taken down by some scumbag who used teh same beat. My brother and his friend leased it but the kid bought it. he had a right to make my bothers video down but to me it was a shallow move. it was called summer girls i thinnk? the kid Yoni who sings the chorus actually did his own version too which is nice, but the otehr white dude (forget his name) didnt do the song justice. well anyway my point was my brother group used a live band and it makes it sound so much better especially at live concerts. but if want to check them out ill give you the name or link to their channel. im proud of him. being from a ghetto with a bunch of junkies and kids making bad choices from poor parenting, im proud hes doing what he wants in his life instead of drugs. again not sure if youd consider them hip hop but its worth a hear. But look all over youtube and soundcloud yous find some people you like. were getting older now so we miss the things of the past and because of our nostalgic feelings we tend to not gives certain things a try. That age of hip-hop is never coming back and agree hip-hop tody is garbage mainly mainstream but it will have a revival with some new shit, hopefully.
@UCT735pO9DBtTBdNiVGGhzPg That's exactly why it aged well, smart guy. It's still 100% relevant to the present. Nothing has changed up till this point, and even now with this movement going on, unfortunately we still don't know what the future holds
"And still I see no changes, can't a brother get a little peace? There is war on the streets and war in the middle east." 32 years later, still I see no changes.

I remember the 90s when this song came out pac ha just died. This was a very sad moment not just a hip-hop but for the many people who lives he touched with his music
@@baroqueobama6199 Not saying Eminem isn't bad, but go listen to "Darkness". I actually liked that one, all the others are senselessly vulgar and overall inappropriate
My personal opinion: Tupac was not born just to be a "rapper". He was a revolutionary who seen rapping as a platform to reach the masses. Once he was able to reach the masses & delivery his side of the story about corruption, racism, genocide, education and life... he was assassinated. But it was already too late. His work here was done. God called him home. Tupac left an outstanding impression on all of his peers, man, children & women of all forms of life. A true legend not just to the rap game but to the whole human race. respect his sacrifice. "Probably be murdered for the shit that I said I bring the real, be a legend, breathing or dead"
The reason Tupac is successful is cause his music is authentic. He built a loyal fanbase on consistency, and not being swayed into sounding like every artist. I pray one day my music can touch masses like Tupac . But for now I'm just happy being a listener rs

Trash song from a wannabe thug.
Definitely my fav 2 pac
I was just after turning 4 when Pac died. All the news coverage and MTV made me curious about who he was. After finding out, I've been hooked on his music since. He's the reason for my taste in music and my social conscious to this day. I'm pushing 30 now.
I think his death robbed him of that. It's Eminem. Eminem was such an influential rap artist that Tupac's black panther mother chose Eminem to produce her son's 7th and final posthumous album. That's CRAZY considering how even today we got niggas like the game tryna take credit away from Eminem when he was respected among literal black panthers.

So true. There will never be another like Tupac.
That's just the way it is.
eddy roy we're not missing "something" in hip hop . we're actually missing hip hop.
eddy roy love pac and i wish he were here too, but even if he was i doubt music today would be anty different.

My personal opinion: Tupac was not born just to be a
"rapper". He was a revolutionary who seen rapping as a platform to
reach the masses. Once he was able to reach the masses & delivery his side
of the story about corruption, racism, genocide, education and life... he was assassinated. But it was already too late. His work here was done. God
called him home. Tupac left an outstanding impression on all of his peers, man,
children & women of all forms of life. A true legend not just to the rap
game but to the whole human race. respect his sacrifice. "Probably be
