If it's an experienced fraghead, he/she will enjoy quite different smells than a non-experienced nose would. My wife for example loves lighter and simpler fragrances and I see she likes designer much more than niche. Alexandria 2 is my favorite of all, I wear it on special occasions, but she only gives me compliments when I rock Naxos, Sauvage Elixir, La Nuit de l Homme etc. But whenever I put on more complex or darker ones (like Alexandria, Oajan, Layton Exclusif, Carlisle, Oud for greatness etc) the hugs are literally fewer and shorter 😄 From my own experience - Younger women (in general) like fresh, simple, soft fragrances.

That's what a scent should do. I tried an Ornonde Jayne and I immediately said wow this smells of a Casino, but the nice ones... That was my immediate go to... No idea why but it struck a chord. I think that's the art in good perfumery. You may not get the same storyline the perfumer aimed for, but it's yours and unique, and real and when it works. Just perfect. Happy sniffs x

Some fragrances take a few good resprays to get what they’re about. Naxos was the first fragrance I smelled that gave an instant impression of a beautiful fragrance. Love it.
Another good one for the list aaron is your truly hedonism. Just a great rose oud combo. Wore it for few evening rooftop parties and got lot of complements and lot of positive attention. Glad to have this limited piece in my collection

Sir you are always on it. Your Onyx is a weekly wear. Superb. Angels on this list is a touch sweet but it is so clean. Tuxedo is top 10 always. My 2 number one bangers are Japan Noir by TF and Amber Wood by Clive Christian.

Vanille Leather was one of the last ones I would've expected. Leans feminine and very much designer-like, simple and basic. Doesn't actually smell of vanilla or leather - smells more-so of flowers & dark woods. Naxos and Angels' Share were quite predictable imo. Delina as well, at least for women. Both Alexandrias are quite sophisticated, but some may pull it off.
Aaron, I think you should test more fragrances from Xerjoff's Oud Stars Collection. I recently discovered Fars, Malesia and Alexandria Orientale, and I think they are all at least worth a test.
Very interesting. I never know quite where ATH is going to take us with these list and I must say I’m ALWAYS surprised. I purchased Pardon because of his overwhelming review and in my opinion, its a perfect first date scent. But somehow he never mentions it.

Alexandria II, to me, smells like naphthalene. I tried a sample 5-6 times and I don't know what it is but, every time I smell it, it just reminds me of an urinol.
Delina exclusif is cutting it close.. I can’t that’s the only one… well tt, I’ve never smelled but oud… Alexandria 2&3 are a little bit animalistic to me.. I’ll have to revisit.
