Amouage “Opus XIV: Royal Tobacco” was my apex predator of Tobacco scents and 100% worth the price, on my skin the only fragrance in my collection that lasts 24+ hours, that’s until I’ve tried and bought Bortnikoff “Tabac Doré” . That one is reference tobacco fragrance, if you want to expirience tobacco absolute and the sheer complexity that is Tobacco as a note, Tabac Doré is something you must try.

One of my favorite Tobacco Fragrances is Argos Triumph of Bacchus. I definitely agree with the Guerlain Extreme. It definitely grew on me. I didn’t much like it at first but now I’m definitely going to keep it in my collection. I’m very disappointed with Herod because the performance is too soft for me.
Understand what you're saying about Herod, agree it is designer leaning. I do have 1 Million Prive too though and they are definitely different to me. Agree with your list though generally! Need to try the Amouage and looking forward to Mr Mesmeric!
Royal Tobacco is one of my favorites. I got it for a steal at 145 USD when Jomashop had it on sale around by birthday. I wore it to an outdoor wedding. It was hotter than expected that day 90 F, so a bad choice in high heat, however it lasted the entire evening from 4pm when applied all the way till 2 am when I showered. Worth every single penny of retail, but can be found for almost half retail if you look hard enough

RT would be a winter super dressed fragrance. With all the others I have in this vein. If I get 3 wears a year out of it a year that would be alot. Seems like 30ML bottles of these fragrances are more appropriate if you can't get it for a price like you.

I have a sample of Naxos (also the first Xerjoff fragrance I tested) and I barely used it. It's good, but I personally think it can get quite sickening, so I rarely feel like wearing it. Some people put Layton into the unisex category. I personally think Herod is even leaning towards the feminine side. I liked it, but not enough to buy a bottle of it even though I like to wear fragrances that are read as "leaning towards the feminine side". I noticed that these are the ones I get the most compliments from even though I do not really care about compliments. When it comes to Tobaco fragrances, nothing comes close to Montabaco Intensivo for me. It's even more expensive than Amouage's Opus XIV if you look at the price per ml. I ordered a sample thanks to your recommendation and now own a 50 ml bottle of this gem of a fragrance. It currently is my favorite fragrance in my collection. When I saw it on discount I had to get it immediately. I think the juniper berry really gives it so much depth from the start already. I really like your way of describing fragrances and the edited visuals really help imagining the composition.

Royal Tobacco is one of the best fragrances ever released. The Rolls Royce of this style of perfumery. Even better, I was able to get my bottle in Oman, where Amouage is based.
My favorite tobacco fragrance so far is tabac tabou from parfum d'empire. A bit like naxos, it is a honey tobacco perfume, but with a nice floral side coming from narcissus, and a bit dirtier and a tad animalic.
The one edt is not a flanker. It’s the original and it’s awesome. I may be biased tho, cause I bought it when it 1st came out. It was my original favorite fragrance. 😊
Triumph of Bacchus definitely deserves at least a top 5 it speaks for itself. However a recent discovery of mine is Initio narcotic delight also has a beautiful dry realistic tobacco with burning woods and boozy cherry. Likely overpriced however got myself a 10ml decant which will likely last me a long time! Extreme projection. Autumn/ fall beast for sure!
I don’t really get much Tobacco from Triump of Bacchus, same with Naxos. Which isn’t really a bad thing, the other notes is what make those two fragrances shine in my opinion.

Tobacco on its own I find quite challenging, or in some cases just not a bit of me specifically that realistic cigarette smell being an ex smoker myself. However I definitely appreciate the nuance and depth it can have to the fragrances mentioned 😁
Divine Vanille from Essential Parfum is a great affordable niche alternative to Herod (Same Perfumer) 85% similar to Herod but and smell very natural but not as potent as Herod and the price is great (82€ 100ml)

I love that Omar's intro said he would be covering the 'biggest" Tobacco scents in the industry and then the most loved. I love Tobacco as a note but found my collection has shifted away from some of the scents like Herod and D&G The One to TF Tobacco Oud and MM Jazz Club. Also, I LOVE Intense Reb Tobacco by Mancera (better than the OG) and when Naxos runs out I'm seriously considering replacing it with Unique'e Luxury Beverly Hills Exclusive (more to Tobacco and more honey with less lavender).
Naxos is great i always got compliments, L'homme Ideal I didn't like as much. Parfums de Marly I swear was overrated and was not very long lasting on my skin

Dior Tobacolor is a good one. The best tobacco scent no one really talks about is Carolina Hererra Mystery Tobacco
Yes Dior Tobacolor is a great one I like the honey and the peach note in that fragrance on of the best of Dior private collection.

Wore Herod last month and made a stop at a bakery and the female cashier said i smell amazing. I still have Pure Havane which is 80% full.
