A very good review, thank you. I have just acquired the same model and find it much as you describe. Despite being only 171cc it is notably more responsive than a 125cc and quite capable of 60+mph cruising on motorways. Quiet and very smooth with a relaxed riding position. I do find the nose of the saddle rather uncomfortable on journeys of 50+miles though, but the 'hump' behind the rider is effective at supporting the small of your back. It has good storage capacity under the saddle as you show - It can actually fit a small camping tent in there - which can be increased with the addition of a small top-box. All-round an excellent scooter.
Another SYM scooter i bought thanks to this channel. i bought maxsym abroad back then, and i bought this one yesterday when i got back indonesia. - seat height is a joke for me (180cm), its way too short, although it got a very nice backrest - no usb power port (totally understand its an old model) - i often pressed the seat open button when i want to use the high beam - engine scanner plug in the storage compartment on the top right? gotta be kidding me + the acceleration is just quick, no problem going 60mph non stop, top speed around 80mph (but it vibrates like a lawnmover at top speed) + very nimble and agile in the city + spacious underseat storage and flat floor board + very smooth engine and CVT tranny + very good headlight (H11 which is easy to swap later with LED) + powerful stopping power overall its a very good scooter, although nothing interesting with this scooter if you only see it from the brochure.
@@Buledoyanmotor I think in Bali Grand dink is more Rider"s Bule than Joy Ride cause of higher CC for Grand dink with 250cc even the year is older than Joy Ride (cmiiw)
Both are very comfortable, but the Joyride 200 is more light and easier to filter between cars in heavy traffic, also with the flat floorboard the Joyride 200 is more practical to do the grocery 😜
mOTOnomi I'm renting an Nmax 155 since one week, for the city it is very comfortable but as soon as you ride outside the city, the fact that there is no windshield on the Nmax it become less comfortable, suspension and seat are also to hard for long distance, the joyride is more comfortable, another flaw on the Nmax is the gas consumption 31 km/liter on mix use, the same as my CBR 250 R !
Great review buddy, is there any review that shows up how safe each moto brand is ? Let's say Honda, SYM, Yamaha, etc ... in the same category, just like there is for cars. Having the frontal side as part of the gas tank/line makes me think in fire in a frontal crash ... who knows, that's why my concern & question. Thanks
+Michael Angelo thanks, concerning the safety of each bikes by category, I'm sure constructors will hate the one who will do this kind of review, but is it really relevant? Any gasoline engine have a high risk of catching fire in a collision, and as a rider, you would be ejected from your ride in most case, so if the bike burn, well you will not be trapped in a cage at least
I see, that makes sense, anyway, In case of a crash we need some kind of parachute with a super fast deployment in our jacket in the oppposite direction to our inertia to not fly as a muppet without control over the air at least.
+hellmekun the price is 11.000.000 IDR less than the Kymco Downtown, 12.000.000 IDR more than a N-Max and 7.000.000 IDR more than a PCX, difficult to compare with N-Max and PCX as those 2 are really small scooters, this SYM is really an adult's size scooter, more space for the legs, more comfortable, second hands are for sure more affordable if you are looking around 35.000.000 IDR price range.
Pcx and Nmax are scooters while this one is considered as a Maxi Scooter even though the place you put your feet is flat. It's a little bigger than them in size but not as big as a Yamaha Xmax or a SYM Gts Evo
