Thank you Antonio for a lovely video. Salvatore Schillaci RIP. He scored against us (Republic of Ireland) in 1990 World Cup Italy 1 Ireland 0. A class footballer, God bless him.
There’s a phrase - “Better to be a foreigner in a foreign country than a foreigner in your own country” Maybe thats one reason why so many Northern Europeans are moving to Spain.
Ciao Antonio, Seattle here, recently retired and moving to Sicily in the coming year or so. Italy/S. Italy could help itself by being more competitive with pier countries as mentioned. (SP, PG, GC, etc) Reduce/improve bureaucracy, extend special 7% income tax to 20 years. Move to cashless society. For competitiveness, promote English language in school, English language TV. A more connected S. Italy will be better and more prosperous. Clean up the garbage. There are many baby boomers now retiring here in the US and increasingly, many will not be able to afford to live in retirement in the US. Many will go to Latin America, but I argue that S. Italy is a better choice. Thanks for your content!
You really got the point!!! There is a lot to do to improve the situation, from many aspects things are bad but as you know there are also good points. There is a good margin to improve, I believe a lot in this land and i think the potential is huge!!! Thanks for watching
Ciao Antonio - I am from Scotland but was born in Italy (near Cassino). With what you describe, is there even a small chance that Southern Italy can maintain it's culture?
Culture is already changing because the globalization more than the immigration for now, I see the problem is between the older who keep all the secrets and the new generation that cares only about tik tok and play station
@@equatorialcat4569 Hi, I have to make a video about this, for me depopulation doesn't really mean prices dropping. In the south of Italy in some places prices can't go lower than actually are. I'm gonna screenshot your comment and I will explain in my next video everything in details, thank you for watching!
Great video! very interesting topic.
Thanks!!! Grazie Italo
