Yall losing by a FG to bama was by design. Bama used ball control against Georgia. They controlled the game and kept a multiple score cushion throughout the game. Bama couldn’t taken more shots to score more but that wasn’t the game plan.

@@darnellrtr252you were only half right. Kirby Smart doesn't make very many critical errors but he's made two vastly critical errors against Alabama, one in each of the last two SEC Championship games...
Georgia lost the SEC Championship to Bama, then turned around and won the rematch in Indianapolis. Why? Kirby failed to blitz and put pressure on Young, then blitzed Young in Indianapolis and won the football game..
Kirby made similar mistakes against Bama and Milroe. Kirby failed to blitz Melrose, plus he played too conservatively on offense in the first half. Georgia lost that football game in the first and second quarters..
So, Kirby can't out maneuver Nick Saban. Big deal. Who else has shown the ability to do so?
Kirby still has more NFL Round 1 draft picks than losses.
People tend to forget that UGA was one overtime away from having 3 titles under Kirby, which wouldve meant that he was already half way there to Sabans 6...Saban himself has consistently been the only thing preventing Kirby from being the next Saban

Kirby doesn't deserve the Saban worship until he actually does what Saban did. That being said, the only reason Kirby didn't already do it was because of Saban. Alabama specifically ended several Georgia runs all the way back to Pre-Kirby 2012. Kirby is locked, loaded, and primed to dominate. With no Darth Saban in his way, now it's all on him to simply do it.

Georgia should be favored and will be the class of the SEC as long as Kirby is there. However, I'm interested to see how much the new conference schedule affects them. Harder to go undefeated when you aren't playing Vandy, SC, and Florida every season.
c’mon man, you know how this goes. there are really only two programs who are close to them in that conference and that’s bama and texas. the same people saying “now they’ll actually play a real schedule” will be the same people calling it a cake walk the second they don’t schedule a good non conference opponent and the in conference opponents don’t live up to preseason expectations.
Damn you threw Florida in with SC and Vandy come on that’s just not true. Florida will eventually get the right coach and be dangerous again. Plus UGA is going to continue to play them every year anyway because of the rivalry
It’s not Georgia’s job to make sure historical powers like UF, Auburn and Tennessee maintain their relevance, it’s actually the opposite. They all recruit the same people. UGA wins those on the trail, those schools’ collective talent goes down. It’s not rocket science. Throwing UF in with Vandy and SC makes me thing you’re like 17 yo

As a life long Georgia fan, no team scares me more every year more than Auburn. We always seem to play bad or they seem to play amazing and most years its a war. Auburn week is my stress week.
There's only a few teams where the sky is the limit, and Georgia is one of those teams.

Bama fans look away but if things go south with the new coaching staff we are looking at the next Miami. A program that will live in the shadow of what their program once was and will be "back" every year. Of course could be wrong and Bama could be just as good if not better, but UGA is the top dog (no pun intended) of the SEC and the country rn IMO

Isn’t that the case every year? What’s their record vs the SEC?
Do they have the resources? Yes. But issue being they don’t understand how to rotate players on a play to play basis week in and out and rely wholly on talent outmatches entire games no matter who they play. This won’t work for them going forward with the new teams entering the Big10 and you are going to see more injuries plague Ohio simply because they are going to have better competition not be able to cruise through every season only facing one tough opponent the final game.

I think Georgia loses 2-3 games this season. Looking at UGAs current roster compared to the rosters Kirby’s had in the past and to the teams that have to face. There’s way more weaknesses and they face a lot tougher competition in the regular season. RTR

Kirby had a bit of a slower start in terms of national championships than Saban did at Bama, but you have to take into account the fact that there was a bama when he became head coach. There was no bama when saban took over as the tide HC. In just his second year as HC, he was a contender for the national championship. And this was his first head coaching job. Saban, when he took over at Bama, already had experience as HC of 4 different organizations. I think Kirby earned the right to be talked about in a similar manner, even if he has yet to prove himself in terms of natties.
