I don't see why you didn't cut the factory conector off the stock speaker and attach it to the Rockford Fosgate speakers. Then plug it into the stock door connectors. That would of worked like factory. Rockford Fostgate make mounting adaptors for Subaru to install the speakers you have installed. Cheers!
The door cars is also moulded to the original speaker so I'd have had to modify that anyway to fit a larger speaker so while this way was a bit of a faff I am happier with the result because it's flush AND I get great sounds resonance through the door.
From memory I think I've got 6.5s in the front and 5s in the rear and without cutting the inner door skin I think that's about the max you'll get under the OEM speaker covers. Even at that, I think the door cards needed some tweaking to get them to fit.
It's people like you making videos that make life easier thanks 😊
👍
Great video Conor as always. These videos are just so great to take your mind off everything. Easy viewing
Aw, thanks Andrew. I love having you along.
Not commented for a while, videos are great, keep them up squire
love the realtime "faffery" element of it all. great vid,
Amazing video
Nice install , I just get adapters for a plug and play for the speakers , saves a ton of time

JVC right?
Mounting spacer? Good job any way.

what size of speakers have you used?
I think I mention it in the video but from memory they're 16.5cm/6in in the door bottoms and 10cm/4in on the dash top.
What type of speakers you recommend please my car Impreza 2007?
I got pioneer stereo with 50w
Thank you
2-way or 3-way that is designed to handle 50w rms. don't look at peak power...
Agree with that. Ignore the peak power - match your stereo and speaker RMS
Thanks for this, was worries about having to drill holes but looks like no big deal. Do your windows roll down all the way?
Yup, no issue with them rolling up and down. The rears don't go down all the way anyway :(
What size speakers could you fit in there? could 6.5" fit

Probably too late but my 2012 hatchback takes 6.5 front and back. Front needs a bracket though
