The CRX has become very rare and expensive. B-swaps have gotten crazy expensive from what they used to be.
I bought my crx for $700(stock driver) in 2008, I spent about 2 years and $2,500 piecing together and building a b16 swap. It only makes 184hp and I love it. If you were going to try and build one today, I think it would cost 2-3x that. Save the EF's, K-swap the world. Be Safe all !
Very rare bro my SI I bought for 1000 bucks in pretty messed up condition in 2002. Fast forward today 21 Years today with a built B16B and all the goodies it stands at a street value of over 15000 in todays prices The B16B alone built was about 4000 bucks not mention paint , body kit wheels and some minor things. With over 250 + HP NA there is nothing like it. I drive other and own other cars I am telling you. Supras , Porsches, and Acuras this one is a keeper.
I searched for almost 6months for one. I didn't want to give in on the "2022"prices. At the end I bought one for 1200. Although it's automatic that was the least of my worries. What I wanted was a solid body and being able to driven daily. I already have most parts for the manual conversion,and all the parts for black trim interior. Next is my attention will go towards the drivetrain😎

@@israel984 and greedy people are using covid as there excuse to gouge the prices. Just dont give in to the greedy bastards. I bought a set of mudflaps for 100$ even though it seems high its better then paying 300$for the front alone😏

I have an 88hf CRX with a k24a2 mated to a type S 6 speed. I know very well the complexity of this swap. Same shifter setup as well. Totally a more involved swap than putting a K into an EG or Ek. Super jealous of the AC!
Man I hear you. I own a 88 CRX with the B16A and the limited slip transmission and just finished putting in AC and insulation to quiet it down. The AC took over 4 months to piece together and install and configure but it was worth it.

I use it daily and it looks and runs great.
I get offers on it all the time.
My 1989 CRX also has a K24A2 with 6 speed LSD. I wish my hood would fit and I'm jealous of the AC. I do have Type S oil pump and 45 deg vtc. I need a good tune now.

Sick build - your customer has good taste. But something you said caught my attention: "No one has done AC in a K swap car before" right around minute mark 4:50. Do you mean in a CRX? Because I have a K swap EK with RBC intake, AC, P/S, and passes Illinois emissions and its been complete and driving since last year. You are dead on, it is not easy, and all credit to Rudz Racing here for making it happen. Love all the content, Humble Performance always delivers!!!

Sick build
I love my sleepers. Had a 98 EJ8 coupe. Stock steelies and hubcaps. Did a complete B16a SIR-II swap in it and drove it like that for over a decade. No where near as cool as this build but at the time it was a fun car that caught a lot of people off gaurd simply because it looked stock. I miss that car so much that I just picked up 2000 EJ8 same color with rod knock and I plan on doing another reliable sleeper build.

I'd have to agree that horse power is not everything I built a 92 civic hatch to daily drive it has a k24a2 swap and plenty for what I do.
it made 231hp 200tq and it's stock with rdx injectors

Car is awesome. I kinda want to go crazy with miata parts and welding & custom fabrication but the idea of a k20 with ac is very cool . Mines a 5 spd crx si. I also have an 04 odyssey which i actually love but rhe transmission is going. That j35 will go in something one day. I wanted a 3g civic hatchback but came across the crx for 500$ too good to pass up. Cheers thanks for the video

I've got a 1991CRX DX W/ 344K miles on it with 5 Speed and factory AC (Still works) and original Clutch. I use it as a daily driver... Teal Green. Owned it for 18 years, since 2005. Any idea what it may be worth? I saw a '91 SI that went for 21K on Bring a Trailer from Tucson, Az. Mine is solid AZ no rust...... in AZ since new ...............
What does it make? Just wondering ik yall didn't go for crazy power
RBC, ebay gt3582 or 3076r, 6 speed si trans, Hondata, and lowish boost and id call it good. Last i budgeted it you could do it for under $5k back when rollers were cheap. wish i had done it

I have had my CRX for about 18 years now and most of its time sitting in my garage. I recently took it out and revamped the fuel system, brakes, top end gasket and seals... currently working on getting the body restored through a local body shop here in south florida. My desire is to make 200HP on a Bseries swap or build up my D-series motor... kinda torn at the moment cause I really haven't really decided, what I truly want to do...
I threw a b20 in mine last year and it's 1000x more enjoyable. Double the tq and double the hp of my d16 zc that was in it.mine is an si hatch.

If you want to finish first, one needs to choose their words wisely. "A" players, say less and finish in a shorter amount of time to be first. When opening the interaction, if one talks fast, it triggers a response that says oh that guy's trying to steamroll me like some typical salesman. The listener has counter it each time in their mind. Great presentation and car set up as always.
Less wind in the mic would have been better. Still enjoyed the video though, so much nostalgia.
Ive seen some people get a hood to fit on a K24. I would like to know how??
Maybe they used a siR style hood.
@Ty-kv3zb The siR style hood is great, but I also have an RBC manifold. Those stick up much higher.
The only draw back is the stereo sytem ,, thats the only thing it needs😃,, 👍

On the outside yeah, looks stock but open the bonnet and it's a dead giveaway it's not stock at all.
Not a true Sleeper. I shouldn't complain though, at least it hasn't been gutted out and turned into a dragster like most other 'rex.
