This will save a decent amazing of time versus removing the wishbone bolt. I find quite often when removing the wishbone bolt that some of the bushings do not want to let the bolt come out and you spend time fighting that. This does require are little more manipulation to get the strut in the right position to pull out and put in. Not very difficult overall.
Good video, but not helpful to me. You don't show how to "pop the upper ball joint right out." You say to hit it with a hammer at that spot, but you don't show yourself doing it, you don't say how many hits it took, how hard you hit it, if you hit it straight on, or at an angle, what you hit it with (big or small hammer), does the upper ball joint just pop right out and fall off?, you just cut the edit to it being separated. You also say "take and do a little compression." What does that mean? What are you compressing? This isn't clear. I tried your method and had no luck, as I don't have all the above information. If you're going to make videos on how to do things, you can't assume someone knows how to do any of this, otherwise, they wouldn't be looking at your video to begin with.
Thank You. You make the world a better place
WOW you sure make the job look easy!!
You really don't need to undo the upper control arm ball joint. Aside from that, this is an excellent presentation.
True, just remove sway bar link and push down on lower control arm.
Very nice and very clear tutorial !!!!!! 100000000000000001 Thanks !!!!!
Thanks a million!
How would you compare the method you used with the method that removes the wishbone bolt, when it comes to 1) time, and 2) effort?

Because popping a ball joint is not that hard. Not even needed for this job.
