Thanks for the detailed and thorough review! Being in the UK where we can't EDC locking blades this one actually registers on peoples' radar here, the reason being that it's easy to make it ''UK friendly'' i.e. street legal by modifying the blades by dremelling off the part which makes them lock, or even just swapping them out for other tools, or removing them entirely. The price over here is around £50 which is good (even a Squirt PS4 is £45 nowadays) and as you say it is a bit niche due to there being so few decent multitools out there in this size category. Would be good carried with my Spyderco Urban, my currently preferred EDC knife. But the scissors let it down a bit, for me after blade the scissors are the second most important tool. As it is I often carry a slipjoint dedicated blade plus a SAK with scissors (the Moneyclip is a good one to fill that gap and add a serviceable little blade) plus a multitool e.g. Leatherman Bond, or the Knipex Cobra XS. Or a blade plus the Nextool Flagship Mini if I'm going light and compact, I know I can count on those scissors.

I have the same one in black and this little tool has been in my pocket since it arrived, even though I was kind of cold towards it in the beginning. What let me down big time was the almost useless scissors. Being used to Victorinox multitools and scissors which are the best in the world, I just choose to ignore the so called scissors on the Powerpint. Other than that, it's such a useful little tool with a great size pliers. I did modify mine a little and now I love it even more. I took a dremel and sandpaper to the bottle opener and turned the head into a medium sized flathead, I sharpened the can opener with the dremel and sandpaper so it actually opens cans now with ease, I sharpened the edge of the pull cutter so it comes down to a point to be able to puncture plastic packaging with it and pull cut, and I also rolled a fine sandpaper onto a q-tip and ran it down the pull cutter from the inside and sharpened it more so it cuts better. You might want to run the sandpaper on the back side to remove any burr. Now I know this powerpint will always be in my pocket no matter what other knife I'm carrying.
Don't you think it's ridiculous that the tool doesn't have a flat head built in? I've never come across any other multitool that didn't have a flat head, it's the most basic tool. My $15 Gerber dime has a flat head but the $50 PowerPint doesn't. I found a Boker plus nylon sheath that fits the tool plus a six piece bit holder. But I want to be able to just clip the PowerPint in my pocket than have to wear a sheath on my belt.
@@abc456f I do find that ridiculous along with the useless scissors that don’t cut anything. I wish Victorinox would make a pocket sized multitool with pliers. It's because the scissors are left handed. So you have to push the handle towards the right to get a better cut.. just grabbed the black on at scheels in a combo pack with the centi 2 knife for $25.
I believe you can put the leatherman ratchet into the bit space and use that with it. Also, a tool can close by opening another tool a bit, then closing both.
The 2 tools I've kept from SOG are the Power pint and the Power access assist (this tool is extra large and heavy with the 4 assist opening tools but it's just so different and fun to carry)

I have 2 powerpint, the other with a cork screw. I can say I love them as well as hate them. Love the design: the plier mechanism, the bit holder; the size: just big enough to handle many tasks but smaller than many standard multitools. But hate the quality of many tools: knife and scissors not sharp; the file is too rough. One last thing I want to point out, I can one hand open and close the plier because of the design, no need to only go for P2 or P4 for such feature!
It’s also a great self-defense tool because if you’re walking in a sketchy area, you can just open one of those pointy things that’s not really a knife set that if you had to use it on someone, the cops really couldn’t say you were trying to kill somebody because it’s just a screwdriver or something like that depending on how sharp you want to go. There’s like that one little pointy thing and no one’s gonna say we’re trying to kill anybody with that.😂
I loved the size of my PowerPint. And my love stopped there. Mine did have a little side to side play, but that didnt really bother me. The biggest problem is the toolset. You can't even screw a #2 philips without carrying a bit set (go try it). I'd really like to see Leatherman make something between the Juice and Style/Squirt.
The philips on my Power pint works great. The flathead is another story tho. 1st time I used it, the corner of the tip bent. I don't use it often and it's still functional anyway. So no deal breaker for me. I carry the PowerPoint in my 5th pocket every day.
I am a huge leatherman fan, but…I absolutely love this tool. I only have/had one exception with it though, and i kind of that this speaks into Sog as a company. The quality control is hit or miss on these. My powerpint had really bad tool retention that would cause tools to randomly open, caused by improper washer placement/stacking. I tore the entire tool down and rebuilt it to my liking and have got to say its a go to now.
@@Mr_Bob_StarkWere you able to find a solution to get a flat head in it? It boggles my mind that a multitool doesn't have one. I found a Boker plus nylon sheath that fits the PowerPint and a six piece bit holder. But I want to be able to clip the tool in my pocket rather than wearing a sheath on my belt.
There are some things I like, like the gears give extra leverage; for such a small pliers it makes sense. However, many of the tools are quite substandard in functionality, fit and finish, etc. While I really like the form factor, I just couldn't justify the pocket space. SOG always has some great ideas but execution has left me wanting on multiple occasions. Edit: Looks like they have updated a number of tools. The file on mine (2020) was nigh worthless, like a nail file at best.
I have been looking at one of these for quite some time, and it went down to about 33 dollars, so I pulled the trigger! As you say the tool set is great. The 1/4-inch driver feature on it is nice also. I have no trouble getting the handles to close securely on driver bits though. I looked at the power liter but have no use for a corkscrew. Mine came with all the implements difficult to deploy and clump when opened. I have lubricated it but have not had much success loosening them. Tried loosening the pivot screws but they must have put Loctite on them and again, not much luck. It should loosen over time with use. The only other complaint I have is that it does not look or feel like a tool made by one of the major manufacturers of multitools. I have bought off brand name ones on Amazon that seem better quality than this. I do think it is a good tool for what I paid for it. I do not normally buy miniature multitools, but this one is not overly tiny like some others are.
After using this tool for a month now it has come in super handy. Its small enough to almost have no footprint I'm really happy with it. One issue I had was it unfolding in my pocket if moved around too fast that led to my first mod using one of my Daughters hair ties around the plier end. Easy to flick it off Second mod was putting a small length of heat shrink tubing on the tiny flat head that leaves a little sleeve for a 6mm bit so I always have a screwdriver on me. Its worked out really well
I have had my Skeletool for years now & I've been using mine for everything from setting up a deer feeder to saltwater fishing here in SE Texas & it still looks new. My other older Leatherman Multi-Tools have failed me but this Skeletool is awesome!
I love my powerpint. I modified it to make it more useful. I wonder if they'll ever make a powerpint 2.0 with an update of the qc issues would definitely pay for that.
I keep a small magnet on mine to hold it closed. Also have a sog power access. Not the best out there, but worth the $. Also have the snippet folding scissors.
We both have similar concerns. I have the Leatherman original wave and I find it too bulky to EDC, hence I tandem carry a leatherman squirt P4 and victorinox manager. I rarely use the can opener hence this solution works for me. The new leatherman bond and leatherman curl are slim but still big to make a comfy EDC. The Powerpint in my opinion is just the right size for EDC and can do medium duty tasks that the squirt and manager tandem cannot do for the same footprint. Given the shortcoming mentioned in most reviews including yours. I decided to purchase the powerpint knowing its shortcoming, and I just mod it to make it better and just accept the flaws that cannot be modded. The size factor and convenience to carry is the main selling point for me. Quality is not Victorinox and Leatherman caliber. Not even close. But in my opinion, usable in a pinch for most EDC tasks. It doesn't do the best job, but it will get the job done. My complaints on the Powerpint / soltuions / acceptance 1. The blade - the shape for me is not usable. It is an inverted straight back blade. Where the straight back became the cutting edge and the curved cutting edge became the back part of the knife (blunt side). I wished they just flipped the blade and made it a regular straightback it would make it a proper knife. The blade is also not factory sharp, but again usable. And it can easily be fixed by sharpening it. 2. The pliers The pliers are great, but the wire cutter is crap. For thin 16AWG to 18AWG fine stranded wires, it can't cut in one cut, you have to do maybe 2 or 4 cuts as the wire is so thin it just slips between the cutting jaws. Not fun to use, but still it gets the job done. The squirt cuts in one snip. But the jaws of the squirt is just too weak compared to what the powerpint can do, so still powerpint for me. I don't cut wires often so I can live with it. I use the pliers more. 3. The Bottle Opener For me the shape of this tool is poorly designed, they favor putting a nail pry part to get the tool out. I cut this off and made it flat. This now gives me a pry bar and flathead screwdriver, making this the most used tool I use everyday. I followed the width of the squirt as i find those dimensions very usable. Since the tools clump together when opened, the more you don't need the nail pry part so cut them off to get more functionality on the powerpint. 4. Scissors My complaint is also the same, you can't open the scissors jaws big enough as the spring lever stops it from doing so. I don't expect to use the scissors much because of its design. But still, if you need to cut thread, tape or some other little stuff, it is still more convenient to use this that using the knife. It still gets the job done. So I just accepted its flaws. 5. File at par with the squirt with a much bigger file. So Im okay with this. If this was a diamond coated file this will sure give more points. Can't be compared to a wave file but still gets the job done. 6. Eyeglass screwdriver I love this, no complaints here. I use this for a lot of things. Piercing stuff, open torx head, anything. This is my multipurpose tool. 7. Awl I use this as a scraper for abusive jobs to give my knife a break from this. This things is pointy, even more pointy than the knife. 8. Can opener Never used, but yes the blade is blunt. I plan to sharpen this when i get the time. 9. cutting hook I don't have a use for this yet but i plan to sharpen the hook to supplement the crappy scissors. 10. The bit driver This accepts standard 1/4' bits. That is definitely a super plus for me. I don't use it, but for heavier tasks this is superior even to what the wave can offer. Not built in but you know you have it there. And with a bit extension and bits, you can use this for a lot of stuff In summary, The leatherman wave will do the job best with comfort 3x to 5x better. But with my age now, I don't like carrying the bulk The squirt and manager will also do the job best with comfort 2x better. But it cannot do medium duty tasks or take abuse. The power pint is not the best tool but it gets the job done. And I choose to EDC this because it is the best compromise to what is available in the market right now. So Leatherman, Victorinox, if you are reading this. I hope you make a multitool at this form factor I will definitely get one.
Really curious on how you feel abt this. I know files and blades from SOG are questionable, but I’d honestly probably never use them and just use the pliers and screwdriver bit slot.
I'm honestly thinking of rebuying this and just removing the scissors and a lot of the weak side tools and keeping this as a great tiny plier+file+serrated combo. Many of the side tools aren't good and are actually dangerous. Pliers are easily the best I've seen for something this size. I only like the tools on the right side (or was it the other side?). The tools on the left are too much crammed together and are actually dangerous (cut myself on some of those tools last time).
I chose the powerlitre over the PowerPoint because it has a small foldover latch that holds the handles together when you use the bitholder, it becomes a true screwdriver at that point.
@@maxlvledc I get it, mine isn't the super best MT I could carry....I want the curl for the simplicity of its tools and the weight savings of the lack of some features buuuut, the powerliter fits in a small pouch along with a bike tool and some other compact useful items that might help one day if I break my bike on the way to work. The wave I've had for years and the curl would not fit in that pouch. And the powerliter is without a doubt a better driver with the latch than both the Leathermans put together and this comes from someone who has defended the wave for years based on the utility of the bit driver.
@@maxlvledc I just grabbed one from Ali Xpres 34.00 on sale and 5.00 off automatically at checkout 30.00 out the door, free shipping! Better than pay 64.00 on Amazon, I can wait 2/3 weeks..
Best 4 oz multi tool in my opinion is the leatherman Juice 2..Mine is in Graphite Gray with no corkscrew and I'm still waiting for something to dethrone it as a lightweight pocket carry multitool..
I had an opposite reaction. I actually bought this and returned it a couple days ago. The pliers and the bit driver are amazing. The tools on the side are terrible. I don't like the way they slide out and how brittle, thin, unpolished they feel. They're nothing as good as Victorinox side tools. I returned it unfortunately.
I have a leatherman wave plus and I’m not using it for tough jobs and I’m also not a heavy user of it. Is it better to have a sog powerpint instead? Or should I keep both of them?😂
I have one also, but don't use it that much, since I find it "pokey" regarding some of the tools, as well as a bit of a pincher as well.. That's why I still edc my 2000's 1st generation Juice S2... Ultimate compact perfection.
The scissors being bad is killer for me. Great size and form factor, but I need my tools to work. Idc about it being budget when the Ozark trail makes better multitool for about the same price if not cheaper
You can open an other tool partially to close the locked in tool. No need to open the whole thing! What I love about it is that it is so smooth that I can open the pliers one handed similar to open a balisong.
Trying to decide which is a better way to carry my house key. Should I replace the serrated blade on this with my key or get a Flagship mini as a keychain?
While gripping the PowerPoint, could one use the centered magnetic 1/4” hex bit driver to hold a saw blade? Would the saw blade be securely held? I would love to see a complete review of the PowerPoint! Thank you!
Unfortunately the quality control on these powerpints isn't all that great. I had to return a silver and a black one due to fitment. My second silver one was great, second black one was only OK. I'm tempted to keep a band around it too because a couple of the exposed tools I really don't want them to come out. Form factor is great, several of the tools I don't trust. Don't like the awl / reamer tool too easy for them to come out. Key ring is terrible.
The locks only working when you open the handles is a bit red flag for me, but otherwise good ideas paired with dodgy quality and too expensive for that here in germany. You can get a flagship mini for less than 1/3 of the price, its smaller but has very good scissors.
Already getting this thing It seems pretty well put together it says it has a bevel gauge protractor function? And haven't seen anyone on UA-cam elaborate on that so I think.that would be a good thing to cover in your video
Thank you for sharing. For me, it looks like sog might have tried to put to much in it. I would like to see a blade less version. Concentrate money on great scissor and a good diamond or boron file. And dedicated three dimensional #2 and #1 philips
Got a black one and the build quality is pretty bad. The plier coating already got scraped by the lock handle, the scissors scrape against the base of the plier head on the other side. Will swap for the none painted and see if it’s any better.
Speaking for myself, full size files are super helpful for cleaning up small projects in the field or a replacement for sand paper when I only have a MT. I've often used a diamond file to quickly get a working edge on a knife as well. Also great as a nail file. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Thanks for clearing my mind to make this power pint purchase. I have a question. The Marbles Handymans Helper 11 is no longer available on Amazon. I looked on your site. Do they have a web site? Or does it come from china? You find the darndest things. I would like one of those handyman tools.
Thanks for getting back on that. What a bummer. I will keep watching your posts to see what other cool items you have to show. And I ordered the power pint. Can't wait to see it.
The scissors are quite disappointing. I think for the price you can probably get a Chinese Leatherman clone instead, but if the size is an issue, then this one's design is probably the best one I've seen for a tool this size.
Hi Dom! Is it possible to swap tools like other sog's multitools? I'm interested in this little beast, but i think that a big flat head / pry should be more useful instead of the small bottle opener...and sog sells spare parts, so why not?😅
Have you found a solution for the flat head? I find it mind boggling that they didn't include one in the tool set. After pliers, a flat head should be the next most important tool. Leave it to SOG to screw up what could have been a great little multitool that clips to the pocket. My workaround has been to get a Boker plus nylon sheath that fits the tool and a six piece bit holder. But it needs to be worn on my belt.
Hi, here is my experience with SOG PowerLitre - I fell in love in it right I get it in my hands, since right in the store I figure out, that I can use SURGE T-tools with PowerLitre's bit-holder. And it works great, and they are same length! However it was I great dissapointment in all other dimentions: blade steel was soft, can openner does not work at all, hook blade can't pass car belt, scissors does not perform good enought. And I dont like when bottle openner eat tool slot. So I end up selling it within couple of weeks after buying and get back to my Tti. May be (may be?) it is bacause of Chinese quality level and it was only my exact exemplar? Here is my hint for you: do not open pliers to reack the lock, open a different tool from same side - it would disengage the lock. Basically I could reprofile hook blade and can openner on my own to fix them, but I decided just to get rid of tool. Do you have some suggestions how to make scissors work better not replacing them?
Regarding the locks; if you open any other tool half way you can close the tool you’re using without opening the pliers … try it out
You beat me to saying that. I second your observation.
Yeah I did this from the start as my second multitool was the Supertool.

There’s like that one little pointy thing and no one’s gonna say we’re trying to kill anybody with that.😂
Good luck with your self-defense fantasy
I own a Leatherman Super Tool 300 and Wingman, but I just ordered the SOG PowerPint. Great demo/review video..!
you can try bending the scissor blades towards each other -- that's why the leatherman and victorianox scissors work as well as they do.
In curious on whats the tool you used to open the product ?
I loved the size of my PowerPint. And my love stopped there. Mine did have a little side to side play, but that didnt really bother me. The biggest problem is the toolset. You can't even screw a #2 philips without carrying a bit set (go try it). I'd really like to see Leatherman make something between the Juice and Style/Squirt.
I'd love to see them make anything new at this point
The philips on my Power pint works great. The flathead is another story tho. 1st time I used it, the corner of the tip bent. I don't use it often and it's still functional anyway. So no deal breaker for me. I carry the PowerPoint in my 5th pocket every day.
@@17_plus_WONWhat flat head? It doesn't come with one.
Did you swap any tool in the Powerpint? I want to replace 1 or 2 tools but i don't know if i can fit a regular sog flathead in the little Powerpint...
Same with the first one I played with.
Cool I’ve been curious about this! Would love to see you try using it (besides the scissors) as part of the review
I need a plier gauntlet..
Easy to flick it off
Second mod was putting a small length of heat shrink tubing on the tiny flat head that leaves a little sleeve for a 6mm bit so I always have a screwdriver on me. Its worked out really well
My Powerpoint regularly opens/unfolds in my pocket. The arm without the pocket clip is much looser than the other arm.
Pop a little magnet in between and you’re sorted
I really like this tool. It’s small but I keep it in my work bag and use it pretty regular.
I have had my Skeletool for years now & I've been using mine for everything from setting up a deer feeder to saltwater fishing here in SE Texas & it still looks new.
My other older Leatherman Multi-Tools have failed me but this Skeletool is awesome!
Wrong video brother
You can buy them on Aliexpress for 30 dollars. My mate bought one and it is identical to the one I payed 50 for.
It's crazy! Just saw that!
I love my powerpint. I modified it to make it more useful. I wonder if they'll ever make a powerpint 2.0 with an update of the qc issues would definitely pay for that.
Can i ask what kind of mod did you applied on the little sog? Thanks
If they just had a flat head it would be excellent. SOG dropped the ball on that.
@@Mr_Bob_Stark I just modified the file and the bottle cap lifter to flat heads using a dremel.
nothing yet, but i'm thinking to file down a bit the cap lifter and the file, as suggested...
I keep a small magnet on mine to hold it closed. Also have a sog power access. Not the best out there, but worth the $.
Also have the snippet folding scissors.
Hi, Great video! I have to ask where can I find that ruler knife? Thanks
Just picked this up on sale on Amazon for 38 bucks, I like it
We both have similar concerns.
My complaints on the Powerpint / soltuions / acceptance
2. The pliers
The pliers are great, but the wire cutter is crap.
3. The Bottle Opener
For me the shape of this tool is poorly designed, they favor putting a nail pry part to get the tool out.
4. Scissors
My complaint is also the same, you can't open the scissors jaws big enough as the spring lever stops it from doing so. I don't expect to use the scissors much because of its design. But still, if you need to cut thread, tape or some other little stuff, it is still more convenient to use this that using the knife. It still gets the job done. So I just accepted its flaws.
5. File
at par with the squirt with a much bigger file. So Im okay with this. If this was a diamond coated file this will sure give more points. Can't be compared to a wave file but still gets the job done.
6. Eyeglass screwdriver
I love this, no complaints here. I use this for a lot of things. Piercing stuff, open torx head, anything. This is my multipurpose tool.
7. Awl
I use this as a scraper for abusive jobs to give my knife a break from this. This things is pointy, even more pointy than the knife.
8. Can opener
Never used, but yes the blade is blunt. I plan to sharpen this when i get the time.
9. cutting hook
I don't have a use for this yet but i plan to sharpen the hook to supplement the crappy scissors.
10. The bit driver
This accepts standard 1/4' bits. That is definitely a super plus for me. I don't use it, but for heavier tasks this is superior even to what the wave can offer. Not built in but you know you have it there. And with a bit extension and bits, you can use this for a lot of stuff
In summary,
The leatherman wave will do the job best with comfort 3x to 5x better. But with my age now, I don't like carrying the bulk
The squirt and manager will also do the job best with comfort 2x better.
Man only thing is I really wish the pliers were spring loaded. I find it useful but also fun to fidget with lol
Really curious on how you feel abt this. I know files and blades from SOG are questionable, but I’d honestly probably never use them and just use the pliers and screwdriver bit slot.
The file on the last one was bad...this one...good actually
@@maxlvledc what’s the difference? There are more power pints?
@@clintwestwood3539 hmm? Not sure I understand
@@maxlvledc You said "last one bad, this one good", did you try different powerpints or?
@@clintwestwood3539 I think he means the last SOG he tried
this would probably be the closest contender to replace my nextool flagship mini.
Had a sog reactor for years before it disappeared, may have to try this one out
I'm honestly thinking of rebuying this and just removing the scissors and a lot of the weak side tools and keeping this as a great tiny plier+file+serrated combo. Many of the side tools aren't good and are actually dangerous. Pliers are easily the best I've seen for something this size. I only like the tools on the right side (or was it the other side?). The tools on the left are too much crammed together and are actually dangerous (cut myself on some of those tools last time).
Is the coating a paint or black oxide? Does it seem to hold up?
I chose the powerlitre over the PowerPoint because it has a small foldover latch that holds the handles together when you use the bitholder, it becomes a true screwdriver at that point.
I want that! But it's $15 more..and with its quality issues..I'm not cool with that.
What's "wrong" with the scissors is that they're left handed. They're solid, sturdy and sharp; you just need to use them with your left hand.
Finally something that benefits us lefties!
I’m a big Swiss army fan and I wish they would make something like that.
Fair!
You don't have to open tool to unlock selected tool. You simply lift another tool and it unlocks.
I have a leatherman wave plus and I’m not using it for tough jobs and I’m also not a heavy user of it. Is it better to have a sog powerpint instead? Or should I keep both of them?😂
I used this too during a house remodel. very useful
To grab a 3/8" nut start to close the tool and then grab the nut using the tool as a clamp, the handles will be much narrower
You could mod that bottle opener to work as a #2 flathead driver.
I have one also, but don't use it that much, since I find it "pokey" regarding some of the tools, as well as a bit of a pincher as well.. That's why I still edc my 2000's 1st generation Juice S2... Ultimate compact perfection.
Can't find the s2 again. Are they going to bring it back?
The scissors being bad is killer for me. Great size and form factor, but I need my tools to work. Idc about it being budget when the Ozark trail makes better multitool for about the same price if not cheaper
Great video!
Where can I get that bit kit?
Thx
You can open an other tool partially to close the locked in tool. No need to open the whole thing! What I love about it is that it is so smooth that I can open the pliers one handed similar to open a balisong.
Trying to decide which is a better way to carry my house key. Should I replace the serrated blade on this with my key or get a Flagship mini as a keychain?
Hmmm, it's a little big for a key tool imo...wish the lanyard was opposite the pocket clip
You could probably squeeze the scissors pin on a vice a bit to close it up
That bit driver is going to put a lot of pressure on the hinge mechanism more than likely causing slop/play over time.
While gripping the PowerPoint, could one use the centered magnetic 1/4” hex bit driver to hold a saw blade? Would the saw blade be securely held? I would love to see a complete review of the PowerPoint! Thank you!
huh..never thought of that..
What edc did you use to open the box in the beginning of the video ?
Unfortunately the quality control on these powerpints isn't all that great. I had to return a silver and a black one due to fitment. My second silver one was great, second black one was only OK. I'm tempted to keep a band around it too because a couple of the exposed tools I really don't want them to come out.
Form factor is great, several of the tools I don't trust. Don't like the awl / reamer tool too easy for them to come out. Key ring is terrible.
Good review. I really dislike my large SOG. The non pliers tools are really hard to get at and they are annoyingly on the inside.
I wish SOG made the exact setup in a Midsize tool. Exact same implementation, just bigger...
Please ... What's the thin long knife you used to open the package ??
I carry mine on the weekends I have a full size tool kit for work during the week I carry it in a pouch with some spare bits and knipex mini pliers
The locks only working when you open the handles is a bit red flag for me, but otherwise good ideas paired with dodgy quality and too expensive for that here in germany. You can get a flagship mini for less than 1/3 of the price, its smaller but has very good scissors.
If you just deploy another tool half way or I believe jusg lift it a little you can close the previous one deployed and close them both
Already getting this thing It seems pretty well put together it says it has a bevel gauge protractor function? And haven't seen anyone on UA-cam elaborate on that so I think.that would be a good thing to cover in your video
I didnt..but I think that function is a little overstated
It’s like calling the “lanyard hole” a tool function as far as I’m concerned
Yeah I figured it was a cheesy "feature"
Thank you for sharing.
For me, it looks like sog might have tried to put to much in it. I would like to see a blade less version. Concentrate money on great scissor and a good diamond or boron file. And dedicated three dimensional #2 and #1 philips
That sounds excellent.
Whats that folding ruler/knife jobby you had there
It's in the description along with the link to it. It's called the handyman's helper 2
Got a black one and the build quality is pretty bad. The plier coating already got scraped by the lock handle, the scissors scrape against the base of the plier head on the other side. Will swap for the none painted and see if it’s any better.
You can partially open another tool to unlock the locked tool
Could you please share a link to the bitset shown in your photo?
Where did you get that small hex bit set? TIA.
AT last everyone else is coming round!
Love it! But that Handyman's Helper look quirky enough to make me interested :D
Good review. Looks like a handy little unit 👌 Of course, it's unique size/tool set means I had to order one! 😭
What do people use files for? I dont use full sized files for anything...ever. Why do they keep putting files on multitools?
Speaking for myself, full size files are super helpful for cleaning up small projects in the field or a replacement for sand paper when I only have a MT. I've often used a diamond file to quickly get a working edge on a knife as well. Also great as a nail file. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Good review. How does this compare in size to the Leatherman Free T4? Love your reviews keep up the great work.
Half the size...literally..8.6oz vs 4.2oz
I have one.. and this would be the best edc multitool ever! If it would have been made by victorinox
What is the knife you used to open it?
Thanks for clearing my mind to make this power pint purchase. I have a question. The Marbles Handymans Helper 11 is no longer available on Amazon. I looked on your site. Do they have a web site? Or does it come from china? You find the darndest things. I would like one of those handyman tools.
It's Discontinued
Thanks for getting back on that. What a bummer. I will keep watching your posts to see what other cool items you have to show. And I ordered the power pint. Can't wait to see it.
The scissors are quite disappointing. I think for the price you can probably get a Chinese Leatherman clone instead, but if the size is an issue, then this one's design is probably the best one I've seen for a tool this size.
Leatherman, victorinox guy but looking at this from Santa. Never liked any scissors on multi tools… could this be removed modded even. ?
Hmm, not sure it's worth modding...I can't think of something good to replace it with that would fit.
Any idea about blade steal/length and heat treatment?
@@abc456f Not yet, but i'm going to try the mods suggested in the comments below
what size of torx screws does it have ?
It seems painted instead of oxide coating
I think your correct, dlc coated
Where did you find that hex bit set?
@maxlvledc would you consider this less or more useful than a Juice S2?
Hmm, that's a tough one...
Hmm, sounds like it wouldn't matter if the steel is soft.
