40 years ago, my husband and I drove up to Vancouver from Los Angeles for our honeymoon. My heart jumped when I saw the Peace Arch. He took a picture of his young bride there so many years ago. ❤️

I just got back from Alaska on Aug 23 I drove up the Al-CAN highway from start to finish. this was the longest drive I ever did I saw a lot and did a lot. I took the Denali bus tour, and the helicopter flight to the glacier..THAT IS A MUST!!!
I came back and went down highway 37 that was the longest highway I have ever been on,stayed at Prince George and then drove back home.. I was tied up for about 15-30 minutes ,at the alder grove crossing I had to explain twice why I was in Canada, and for how long. The next time Igo up I'm going to take the ferry to Skagway, then the train ride, and go dome the Keni Pensula
It was a great trip and a lot of fun hope to do it again some day

Neat look at the little towns and tourist traps without the glossy filters and postcard views. There's a lot of drudgery to road trips... exit ramps, gas stations and overcast days in between charming coffee shops and hidden waterfalls. As always, you guys did a great job of conveying the full experience, from the unexpected costs (Airtram, island ferry) to the great little moments like bears foraging in parking lots. Thanks for taking us along... each video makes me itchy to get out on the road and explore!

Amazing wood carvings in Hope! Thank you for another wonderful video. I don't know what I'll do when you move to a boat. Certainly I'll continue to follow you then, but, as an aspiring RVer, they won't have quite the same must-see aspect to them that these do. I wish you well in your future adventures on the water, but I intend to savor all your remaining RVing videos all the more. :-)

I've been following you lovely people for a few years now and it was so exciting to see you traveling through my neck of the woods! I'm BC born and raised, and living there still. My husband is now retired from the RCMP and we are living part time in our TT with our 13 year old son (last of 5), 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bearded dragon. You drove right past our trapline in this video's time span, on the Cassiar Highway, then through several towns we have lived in over the 25 years of my husband's years as a Mountie. Smithers was our favourite. (Just a note- You have the town of Burns Lake listed as Prince George in the video.) We lived 3 years in Lytton and NEVER went on the tram at Hell's Gate ($$). I love that you took in a tiny part of Vancouver Island and encourage you to sail on up! I grew up in Campbell River and know the Island so well. There are so many wonderful places to see on the Island alone, let alone the rest of BC! Tofino and Ucluelet, Telegraph Cove, Quadra and Cortes Islands (perfect for the boat!)
Another note to fellow RVers...From June 1st to the end of September, BC Ferries has a reduced rate on longer lengths like RVs. It's way cheaper to take one of the routes listed on their website. We take our TT over and back using these sailings and save so much. Anyways, loved the video, love the new adventure on the high seas and am looking forward to watching it all unfold. -Sue

As an American who's traveled extensively in Latin America, as far as crossing into Canada is for Americans, welcome to international travel and not being able to bring certain foods/plants into the new country.
For that matter, I've read that within the lower 48, there are inspection points at the CA border, when coming from out of state, to protect against potential issues with fruits.

Bummer about the food "getting tossed" thing. The boarder ppl probably keep it for themselves lol...but at the very least they should donate the goods seized to a local food pantry or the likes. At least that way my mindset would be in less of a bummer mode.

You are right, in the spring and early summer the river is "threatening." Every time I was around it, I expected to see some kind of body floating down. My son and I camped very close to the old bridge you were on. That bridge is used in a lot of movie shoots.

I was waiting to see if you'd make a quick stop west of Hope. Just off the highway is a SPECTACULAR waterfall, Bridal Veil Falls. Come on back and have a look some time!
