Being a survivor of domestic abuse, that almost ended in my death.
I have been diagnosed with PTSD.
I guarantee you, people who have been brutally abused, and fear for their life, never instigate fights, never start physical fights, ever, and you sure as hell, would never buy your abuser, a knife that's big enough to gut a deer, and have it engraved with, "Until death."
To me, that knife was a warning, meant to make Johnny Depp fear for his life.

Very true, there is no way a victim of DV would taunt, ridicule, chase down, name call her abuser. To buy her abuser a scary knife is literally UNBELIEVABLE.

They're not objecting because they want her to dig herself deeper into a hole so they can point out contradictions later. She's a narcissist and loves to hear herself talk. She thinks by going off on tangents and being overly descriptive will make the jury believe her. It's like when detectives allow a suspect to just talk during interrogations, they think rambling gives them more of a chance to twist the story to their benefit.

@@tagz12345 that's funny. Where's the proof? I literally saw someone compare the so-called "bruise" on AH face with the pic from the last trial. It had been majorly photoshopped since the last time, to the point her eyes were actually brown in the photo. You can clearly see where the photo has been manipulated. If that's not manufacturing evidence, I don't know what is!
There are actual recordings from the incident in Australia where AH ADMITS causing JD's injury at the time! Photos of the alleged bottle he used to abuse her that has no lid on it (use your imagination as to why that could be an issue), with no blood on it, and it's half full of alcohol 🤔🤥.
Please also tell me how Johnny wrote all over the bathroom mirrors if she barricaded herself inside the master suite for 12 hours like she said, or how she went on the James Cordon show after being "heavily beaten" by JD with a handful of large rings on every finger and having her nose "broken". Ever broken your nose, had an accident or your face punched in, because I have, and I couldn't open my eyes as they were swollen shut. Her legs and arms were allegedly all cut to shreds by being dragged across broken glass, yet she wore a dress and looked fine (and her ex dresser came forward and made a statement that she looked perfectly fine with no makeup on that night, and had no visible injuries on her body.
I'm only touching the surface here btw. The police found no injuries or sign of a struggle at their apartment either.

That “forensic psychologist” was infuriating. I’m a dv survivor and she offended ME as a woman. She only referred to male victims in children, prisoners and gay couples. She should have her license revoked. Unethical beyond belief.
And if you watch the 2016 deposition the story of the sister on the stairs is totally different than what she said Thursday.

    • @LauraLeeX777
      @LauraLeeX777 2 роки тому +116

All of her male patients are all and can be considered vulnerable.
Children - obviously vulnerable. - Often male perpetrator. Expert witness did not specify any of these kids being abused or preyed upon by a woman.
Prisoners - trapped with their abuser, history of criminal behaviours, unlikely to and if they are believed, unlikely to be rescued immediately. Arguably, depending on their crime, there may be an opinion of "well, he's getting what he deserves." - typically an all male environment, male perp.
Same sex couples - this was the only example of IPV she gave where men are likely to be the victim. But men are also the perpetrator.
As a DV survivor, I'd be horrified if she was called to be my expert witness.
I find her completely biased, and, if I'm honest. I get a sense that she's just a bit of a man-hater in general.

As a phycologist I know of AH's forensic psychologist and she defended a person that shot her significant other with a handgun (that she bought days prior) while he was sleeping. I can not recall exactly but I am pretty sure she defended the individual stating this was reactive violence or something to the effect. There is a reason she is involved in so many professional organizations, she is trying to be as involved as possible so she doesn't have her license suspended, however, she did break several APA ethical code violations in her "testimony". Hopefully, due to the mass exposure of this case she is finally removed from the treating meatal health community. WE NEED MORE DR. CURRY's!!! The problem is that a man can't defend himself physically, so when the woman is hitting him, no matter how bad it is, he can't stop her without risking jail time. The only thing he can do is flee the area, like Johnny did, but sometimes they will block your way. I was called up for jury selection on a case where such a woman at a party prevented the guy she was arguing with from leaving the room by blocking the door. He pushed his way past her to get out and she pressed charges for assault. The only evidence against him was the policeman she talked into believing her; the prosecuting attorney stated outright that there was no evidence this even happened. Nobody who had been in the room would back up her story.

I over heard, (no pun intended) but didn't see, a man beat a woman in less than 5 seconds, I called the police immediately & they arrived within minutes, less than 5, (small town). Around the 20 minute mark, the woman who was beaten came out onto her 2nd floor deck presumably to get some air. A female officer joined her & they spoke as she wept. The woman saw me below on my patio, as I was on 1st floor one apartment over. It was dark out, with a single light per patio or deck. The woman leaned over her railing asked me if I was the one who call the cops & I answered, YES! She thank me. I could see her face swelling more as the seconds passed, yet very little blood. The officer was able to convince her to go to the hospital. I saw her the next day & the poor girl was just so swollen & darking grayish discolored was comeing through, she could barely see or talk. She saw me & said no broken bones. I was just in shock & nodded in acknowledgement to make her not talk & feel more pain. I saw her about 3 weeks later & she was still bruised with some swelling around her eyes. She looked exhausted, poor. girl.

It read like it was penned by a social justice activist, not a horror flick starlet. The relationship between Heard & Depp was definitely toxic, but remember in 2016-2018 Heard was basically used as a poster child for #Me Too, in order for these media outlets to profit from clicks, views & advertising. From a legal standpoint it's quite bizarre that Depp isn't suing the publishers, but of course based on the actual law he should lose any such defamation case. The truth is that his reputation has been terrible for over a decade now, and even if Heard lied about him, there's not sufficient evidence linking that to real damages

It is awful for a woman to lie about abuse. The real takeaway is that men DO suffer from domestic violence. Also, emotional and verbal. They are more likely to not get help than a woman. The statistics are low, because they don’t come forward. He didn’t press charges when she threw a glass bottle that severed his finger off. Often a woman will rant and rave and even get in a man's face or slap him, and then he will hit back. The stereotype of a timid woman (or man) who never talks back or fights back does exist, but I wouldn't say it's the norm. Exactly! She complained she 'didn't have enough evidence' in her interview after the trial, but there was plenty of evidence... just not favorable to her. The texts, the pics, the audio recordings, etc. Then her testimony really destroyed her case even more. My jaw literally dropped when she said "Why would it?" about the fear of her 'abuser' not stopping her from sharing embarrassing videos with her friends. ANY actual victim of abuse (partner or parent) immediately knew (if they weren't already sure) that she was NOT the victim in that relationship in that instant. Same with the audio recordings. Every actual victim I know associated with Johnny, not Amber. Some things she said were almost verbatim what my abuser said to me. When she said "when you run away, when you leave, it makes me so mad, and I just lose it," that's 100% blaming the victim for making you angry. It's not HER fault she gets angry, it's HIS job to not upset her. He's trying to escape from her, and she pursues him, just getting angrier. The argument where he hit her with the bathroom door, or scraped her toes, SHE was the one trying to open the door. He was in the bathroom trying to keep her out, but somehow she's the victim for being hit by the door? No. Just no.

I saw a review saying how unnatural it was and the tearless 'crying' (face pulling) came on too late than expected instead of welling up before hand ...and it all goes in an instant when the next item is talked about. Also she flips in and out of the tense. Like 'he was hitting me', 'so he is hitting me', 'he did hit me' etc. Ties in with someone making up a story as they aren't acting out a true event in their head, where they would think and talk in one tense.

It is clear that the 'attachment' of Dr Hughes to Ms Heard goes beyond that which one would normally expect in a doctor-patient relationship. Dr Hughes bias is not only against Mr Depp. Clearly, she is determined to gain 'revenge' on men, or to act as some sort of white knight. The other version for Depps team, Dr Curry, was smart enough to simply apply the tests and give the results. You know that Heard's team was worried about her because they and their media poodles tried to make out that she was 'wined and dined' by Depp. In fact, it was a business interview with the legal team (food and drinks later served) done at Depps home. Hardly a date.

I had PTSD & had to testify in court against 5 guys who assaulted me for hours to the point my friend thought they were killing me. Very scary. It was traumatizing (I did break down & court was stopped but I had the break and tried again) but I most definitely didn’t discuss the flooring, make animated contortions with my face or add in any extra irrelevant details at all because I was focussed on making sure I answered correctly & focussed on the traumatic event. I was able to explain injuries, the actual assault, the aftermath, the pain, the fear I would be killed etc both during and then after. In fact it was one of the biggest elements of my PTSD was the omnipresent sense of feeling unsafe and feeling terrified every night for 20 years thinking someone would break in and kill me - I couldn’t sleep in my bedroom for 20 years, I had to have a weapon near by, I had to check doors, rooms, windows constantly etc.. called safety behaviours. I could recall all this as a matter of fact - not in a dramatic illogical, out of sequence way she is telling, I believe I would be a bit emotional at times but victims are mostly somber - downcast / all I see with her is hostility and anger.
I recall there was also an overwhelming feeling of “why me” similar as Johnny explained he didn’t understand why this was happening to him when all he did was be kind to others his whole life.
She is the abuser and those audios were very triggering as is her testimony. I’ve watched a lot of cases and can relate to the victim but not Amber - I just want to push her away so to speak - like cringe. I’ve seen thousands of others saying the same thing at this point!

Her ability to switch her emotions like that, makes me think she was the one "switching" in their relationship, not Johhny. He has his own monster, but she definitely is another one. To her eyes, Johnny would go from horrible to wonderful, because she was the one going crazy and has personally disorders which attribute to the craziness!!!! Which, unfortunately for Depp’s team meant that they couldn’t use her prior domestic assault charge as evidence against her. But one of the allegations was about Johnny pushing Kate Moss down the stairs (which apparently Kate has denied). So you were right, her bringing up Kate Moss meant it opened the door to prior bad acts so now it’s not out of the realm of possibility to bring up her assault record. And that kind of evidence I think would be extremely effective on the jury. If I heard no testimony but just saw the evidence and that was presented, I feel like that would almost single handedly convince me she was the abuser.

If he’s been tearing you down, berating you, calling you a whore, smashing glasses, punching walls, flipping over tables, etc as fucking awful as it is to really believe - esp since nowadays IPV and info/education surrounding it is nowhere near _as_ stigmatized or difficult to research - when it finally escalates enough to involve physical violence, you’d think a natural reaction would be shock and devastation that everything that came before it really _did_ end up resulting in this and *not* laughter bc you thought he must be kidding. what part of someone slapping you across the face = totes jk!! ha ha so funny! 🤔
I understand ppl react differently to situations but if truly was escalating violence it seems really hard to believe that she’d testify to just sitting there, start laughing, and thinking he was kidding (which, again, how?? what exactly is it from his alleged prior behavior that she also testified abt that makes her think that *THIS* act of violence was all just a big fat joke and that he must be kidding??)

The interesting thing bout the "1st time he hit her" story is, she chose that specific Winona tattoo moment to be evil and turn it around on him bcz she HATED that tattoo and that past relationship so much and brought it up to him multiple times in fights, so she hatefully used that moment to use as her 1st assault accusation, also his facial reaction is very telling, he is so confused like WTH is she talking about?? 🥴

    • @rossmacintosh5652
      @rossmacintosh5652 2 роки тому +14

She claims he was triggered to physically hit her when she innocently laughed at the tattoo and that first incident forever changed her life. Why then would she ever bring the tattoo up again, knowing it might well trigger more violence? It doesn't make sense. More likely she saw it bothered him to bring up the tattoo that first time. That knowledge gave her a weapon to subsequently use to verbally abuse him. She had found a perceived weakness to use against him, like calling him old & fat. Most of us similarly know "mean" things we can say that would upset our loved ones, and sadly many do sometimes use them in arguments to cause pain or humiliation. That's as old as there have been human relationships and it doesn't translate to physical violence. Seems to me her testimony was just bringing these things up because she can conflate them with imaginary violence. She knows if he's asked about being called "old & fat", if truthful he will admit it hurt him. To her side, such an admission by Johnny is a win because it suggests to the jury a motivation for hitting her. Reality is it just shows she's mean.

I noticed that as well. Not once did she mention testifying on behalf of a male where the female was the IPV perpetrator. I wish he'd nailed that home a lot more as well. I suspect he wasn't sure, and decided to let the jury draw their own conclusions. She messed up as well, because if she HAS had experiences with hetero relationships where the IPV perpetrator is female, she should have brought that up. She didn't, because she thought doing so would open the door to the possibility that Heard might be the abuser. She was as tone deaf to how biased she sounds as heard is to how poorly her dramatics play in court.

@@dontstandsoclose yep, I'll admit I was quite puzzled as to why she was framing it that way because it looks SO biased until I realised she was trapped either way: if she opened the door to a female on male perpetrator of IPV, Depp's lawyers would have jumped on that as well by saying "so you acknowledge that women can be IPV perpetrators against men?". There actually wasn't a way for her to answer those questions that DIDN'T benefit Depp's side. Which, overall, I would consider quite a neat piece of legal maneuvering. The problem comes, of course, that the witness came off as insincere and biased. She should have just met the criticism head on instead of sidestepping it.

Johnny has the better hired lawyers, experts, investigators, etc., etc, and paid PR Internet Spammers, but his lawyers and the rest are destroying his life permanently, and for what? He could have posted his own Op Ed, correct? He has the better everything as he has more money. But I love Johnny as an actor and for his roles (and he's probably better than her, but she's fine too -- a Marvel star no less -- although I haven't really seen her in anything, I have LOVED Johnny's roles -- Cpt. Jack, Chocolate, others -- most everyone loves his acting, but that is not actually "him").
The lawyers have had him suing everybody all the time for a while -- he's a sucker, apparently addicted, lawyers ripping him off. I don't believe for a second that a thrown bottle severed Johnny's finger clean off, but those slick lawyers have us believing it -- but for what purpose? Because if he's crazy enough to cut it off himself to use it to write with that hurts his "case"? (what's the "case" besides the lawyers ripping everybody off? It's undisputed he used half a digit to write in blood all over the house all night, he's on video slamming and breaking things, I've seen the photo where it appears she was head butted or punched, nose not broken, but it probably felt like it at the time, and video of Johnny slamming and breaking glass and things, and texts about making Amber a "rotting corpse in a trunk of a car". None of this is pretty for him. The lawyers are ripping him off. I'm not sure who is losing more, but neither Johnny or Amber are "winning" anything here. This is NOT the publicity they want.
The lawyers are ripping Johnny off and ruining both these people's lives, laughing all the way to the bank.
Where was a problem solver to work on this? This is all just making it worse for everybody -- Is Disney behind it and tired of getting phone calls about why they aren't using Johnny Depp anymore and want to stop being asked?
And suing someone for 50 million when they only have 5 million and will have none by the time the trial is done doesn't make any sense unless you're nutz and out for vengeance. He will get nothing from her even if he wins and I doubt he will. I expect the jury to not reward either of these 2, but IF they reward anyone it will likely be Amber Heard.
And IF she was cheating before her divorce was final, so what? What does it have to do with anything?
I cannot believe half the illegal things the judge allows -- settlement negotiations from the divorce, and Johnny's greedy lawyers Rudnich/Chew complaining that she didn't give all her money to charity so she would have none to be able to fight back against them -- It's all unbelievable the Judge allows all this.
This is a horrible tragedy of an actor I've loved for decades and still do. WE ALL KNOW HE'S NOT WHAT HE SEEMS ON SCREEN, CORRECT? (Know anybody who wrote in blood all night with half a severed finger?) I think this is destroying both of them, but especially Johnny. I wish he had stayed with Winona - She's SO Awesome! I bet he will wish he stayed with Winona too before this is over.

my big BIG problem is when this psychologist says "i have determined that she was abused".

our job, as psychologists, is to determine whether someone is suffering from any psychological distress, whether they are exhibiting signs of mental disorders, whether they are in control of their mental faculties, and whether they are fit for duty/questioning/anything else. we cannot, on any grounds, prove or claim what is the root of any of the issues our patients are exhibiting, and we certainly cannot take them for fact. dr curry, for all that she was gunning for JD, NEVER said that something happened or something didn't happen or this or that, her job was to observe AH's behaviour and report on it, and that's what she did - that's the ONLY thing she did.
