- Welcome to the Ghosts of The Tower of London Part 3!
This video focuses on the hauntings at The Waterloo Block (Barracks) and home to the Crown Jewels as well as an array of hauntings in The White Tower itself. Strange figures have been seen numerous times at the military barracks, and it seems all floors of The White Tower have some sort of paranormal activity!
Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you heel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way, without the need for sensationalising the past. Please stay tuned to the end to hear a small post script from me, Nicola.
As always, I hope you enjoy these tales from the Tower of London. Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. They mean so much to me. Please feel free to Like and Subscribe to the channel.

I've been saving this one for a cold lonely night! This is one. Heaters off and alone in bed. Had some red wine and turn my light off.. ( I have a night light though! 😊) let the stories begin..
Thanks!
Robin you’re so kind. This means so much and really helps me develop new content. With best wishes always, Nicola
@@ghostcasebook1266 yes, and not just happening to your channel! No worries, I will find you! Your video compliments a documentary done by Dr Lucy Worsley. You tell stories I have never heard. I am going to watch it again along with your new one!!
I love that you included some lesser known stories of the Tower. A couple really hit home, especially the Anne Askew story. Her story deserves to be better known. Excellent as always.
I agree and it’s not pretty, but the story is important. Thank you kindly Jeff 👻🙋♀️
Thank you as always Nicola, for another superb video on the Tower of London and its History and lives of many men and women who died within its walls.
Thank you so much Simon and I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video. Yes, some sad stories though 👻🙋♀️
@@ghostcasebook1266 Yes indeed many sad stories occurred inside those walls, always a plesure Nicola and thank you again. 👍😊
The story about Anne Askews torture was chilling indeed… loved every single case stories !!

I ❤ THIS CHANNEL!!!!!!!
I have read about the Welsh princes Llewelyn and his son Grifyd. As usual, really excellent video. One of my favorite authors, Sharon Kay Penman, writes brilliant books I love about various famous historical figures from the high Middle Ages.

Hi, how are you? Im doing well. awesome live ghosts stories. I enjoyed it. I have another ghost story to tell you. I saw a ghost at the tower of london in 1994. I was looking around one of the towers when I saw a man dressed in 14th century clothing. He was standing there smiling at me. When no one was around I was about to say something. But he vanished before my eyes. I was shocked at first. I never saw him again. I'll never forget that day back in 1994. Have a great day 😊

I love the amount of research you do for these videos. I am learning a lot about our history. Looking forward to your next upload about the parachutist and the chair.
Excellent research! 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊 I’ve visited The Tower several times….its the most haunted place in London…dark….tortured…suffering…spirits are everywhere…in The Tower 🥺😔

I want to meet (the ghost of) Anne Boleyn
@@paulguise698 I did , at Hampton Court when I was there in 1977. She was staring out of a window, her eyes met mine . She smiled and vanished. Anne Boleyn wore a peacock blue and gold dress. I know it was her. Many years later I learnt that a portrait of Anne Boleyn in a part of the Palace that has only been opened to the public since 1999 was now there for all to see...wearing a peacock blue and gold dress!

And we love you all the way over here across the pond in the states ☺️♥️
I am seriously freaked out! I watched Part 3 Tower of London last night, pulled into my Ancestry account online tonight and immediately came up with a name from last night's show! I called my adult daughter in central California and told her what happened! Even my stoic and unbelieving daughter was surprised! She told me to be sure to get my Genealogy correct for this ancestries! Indeed I will. Thank you for your ever interesting content. My great grandma passed down her gift of Second Sight to me and, for some reason, my now 40 year old son has inherited it as well. My DNA shows I am almost 70% descended from Scottish, Irish, Welsh and British so your stories play right into my areas of interest!
Thank you so much for your comment! This is very interesting. The Tower is a very eerie place and I love it to bit but I can’t imagine what it must have been like there in the past. I’m glad you are enjoying the videos and I hope you’re not too freaked out! 👻🙋♀️😳
Brilliant!! 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers! 👻🙏🙋♀️
Fabulous research - and you have a lovely voice which is very easy and actually relaxing to listen to. Well done
wow thank you so much Mary 🙋♀️👻
Hey Nicola. I started watching the video you posted after this one because I did not get a notification about this video on the tower of London part three. I am still subscribed to your channel with all videos to give me a notification that they've been posted, so I don't know what happened.
I came back to this video as you suggested to watch first. It is quite a treat to have two videos of yours to watch back to back but kind of weird that I didn't get a notification. 💀👻
Oh thank you I am so glad you’ve enjoyed both of the videos. Sorry about the lack of notifications. A bit odd maybe. I was quite nervous making the second video because it was quite a different style for me but I’m glad people have enjoyed it and taken away some history in the process. 👻🙋♀️ (hopefully)
Horrible stores of how horrible those in power can be. This is a fantastic channel and appreciate this women's scholarship
Wow thank you ever so much; you’re very kind 👻🙋♀️

@@ghostcasebook1266 Always luv your content Nicola. Your not one of my top 5 fave channels for nothing.
You take care now. 🥂👍🙏
Another GREAT video, well done Nicola x
My husband and I visited the Tower several years ago and while there I saw several spirits. One was of a woman wearing a long gray dress floating in the air in the banquet hall. Another one was of a man dressed in a long “gray or white “ robe. He did not appear to be very happy and seemed to be carrying something that I couldn’t identify. He had thinning dark hair and clear brown eyes. I believe I also experienced the shove you mentioned.
Thank you for doing this, most interesting, hope you are well, love Kim x
A superb and gruesome tale you've presented for us again.
Kudos to you.👏💯
I really appreciate your kind words, thank you! 👻🙋♀️
Wonderful, thank you and can't wait for the next release 😀
Discovered your ghost cases by pure chance and have to say how much I am enjoying them. As someone who has seen, heard and felt ghosts over the years in various properties and locations I am of course a firm believer as I suspect you are also. You have an excellent speaking voice have you ever been an actress? Keep up the great work
Goodness me Dennis Diamond, I thank you for your kind words. I’m so pleased you are enjoying the channel and the stories. I have absolutely no experience of acting, voice work or media production whatsoever. I’m flattered if you think I have an excellent speaking voice. In the first instance, I was going to use an A.I voice thing where you submit the text and they tell the stories. I was dreadfully nervous. Eventually I just thought ‘go for it and if it all goes wrong, you’ve lost nothing’ so that’s what I did. Thank you ever so much for such a kind compliment; It’s really appreciated 👻🙋♀️🙏
@@ghostcasebook1266 Gotta say I agree with Dennis.
The fact you have no formal training makes your talent even more extraordinary. The broadcasting profession is certainly the poorer for your absence; yes Nicola you really are that good.
Take care
Neil

At 29:16 they have a very lovely monument where many people where executed. In 1975 when I was about 25 the spot was marked only by a wooden chopping block. It was a clear message that has no fancy brick and glass or words of consolation. .
Hi I love your channel. I went to the Tower once a long time ago in 2000. Well I took a lot of pictures, tons actually because I’m a huge history nerd. Well outside in the courtyard all of my pics has this bizarre swirling smudged area in the sky! I’m convinced it was some paranormal activity. I’ve never seen this or had this before or since. 👻👻👻 🏰
Thank you so much TK Arabella, that’s very interesting. Funny how on one visit, everything’s fine and then on another weird things occur! Especially with things like cameras, batteries, phones etc. 🤔

I have been to the Tower of London twice. The first time, nothing strange happened. On the second of trip, my husband and I were on a walkway (between turrets). He was some distance ahead of me. I felt an atmosphere that was oppressive, malign, and quite frankly-scared the heck out of me. I ran to catch up with my husband. Wouldn't care to repeat the experience.
Oh wow! It is an eerie place for sure. Weird things happen there to visitors and those on patrol there too! 👻🙏🙋♀️
This is the first time I am hearing this story about Ricard III. I knew Tyrell was in charge of the Tower the night the princes were killed but I had never read or heard about the keys changing hands. May I ask where you found that information?
let me check and I’ll be right back C Casey!
@@ghostcasebook1266 It must be getting Kate already in England! No hurry you know. I was surprised to hear this version of events; a number of us online viewers from another channel had decided it was the Dowager Margaret Beaufort behind the princes’ demise. In order to clear the way for her son Henry VII.
Meant to say late in England!
Hi C Casey, this is from More’s text
vous matter. In whiche he founde him nothing strange. Wherfore on the morrow he sente him to Brakenbury with a letter, by which he was commaunded to deliver sir James all the kayes of the Tower for one nyght, to the ende he might there accomplish the kinges pleasure, in such thing as he had geuen him commaundement. Love your ghost stories of the Tower of London. I've been there in June of 2015. When I was at the White Tower hearing on what happened to the two princes Edward V and his younger brother Richard of Shrewsbury, Duke of York; made me very sad. I wonder if you had any experiences with both of them at the White tower when you went there? It would be interesting to know what happened to them from a EVP? I don't remember seeing any spirits at the time during my visit.
Thank you ever so much and you are very kind. I did have a wierd experience at the Tower a number of years ago. There’s a video that covers it here but whether it involves the princes or anyone else, there, I don’t know 🙋♀️👻🙏

Hi! I'm watching in reverse, why, I honestly don't know. Anyway, Anne Askew suffered torture before being burned at the stake. What bravery‼️
Diane I’m glad you found the video! Did you find it from the follow up video? 👻🙋♀️
King Henry VIII was a Protestant though.
I have to know. How do the soldiers with the big fur hats see?
Although Thomas More was a child when Richard III was killed, he and his father, a judge of the King's Bench, would have known many contemporaries of Richard's, who knew him and were familiar with the inner workings of the king and the situation. More was also, unbeknownst to him at the time, corroborated by other sources (Vergil, Croyland, Mancini). Since he was writing for himself and not for an audience, it wasn't "Tudor propaganda". His writing is compelling with eye witness details. There is no reason to doubt his version.
I just couldn't live in a place where people are being tortured. What sick people back then.
I guess you could say favorite, maybe- the stories I always find interesting in this are the ones of Ann Bolelyn, and Ann Askew, and the stories of the young princes.
I always thought that Richard the third was a noble person until I found this out about his treatment of his nephews. He was a bast. (I won't write the rest.)
The tower must have been just the most barbaric place. Those poor souls. I wish them rest.
It's somehow comforting to know that SOMEBODY escaped that place. Guess I'm too much of a Yank.
Ha ha I love that! There were a few escapes over the centuries.👻
The weirdest ghost story I heard about the tower of London was the one about the cylinder ghost, seen by Edmund Swift, who was at the time the Jewel House Keeper. It appeared in the Martin Tower while Edmund was having lunch with his wife. This is his description: "A cylindrical figure, like a glass tube... its contents appeared to be a dense fluid, white and pale azure, like to the gathering of a summer cloud."
It appeared in front of Edmund, then floated over to his wife. She clutched her shoulder, crying out that it had seized her. Edmund rushed over, then the thing vanished.
Yes! This is a very strange one. I really wonder what on Earth they saw! Thank you 👻🙏
@ghostcasebook1266 It would frighten the life out of me if I saw that! I'd sooner see a person ghost. 👻
Hello!
I am a historical/halloween lover from Sweden.
My dream is to open a museum with historical gowns/halloween costumes
and props but my father says that Sweden is too small for that kind of project.
Alexandra I absolutely love this. I have only been to Sweden once many years ago but I think niche can be a good thing! Could you consider doing a channel on that topic for starters? I’m sure there would be people interested in it. I’d be interested for sure. Sounds brilliant 👻🙋♀️🙏
Poor Anne Askew☮️♀️
Oh my goodness! Poor Anne Askew. I hope so much that she is at rest now.
I know. It was absolutely barbaric tbh! 😞
I don't believe the skeletons found were those of the two princes as they were buried 11ft deep.
Nobody knows exactly what happened to Edward V and his younger brother. Yes they were taken to the tower by order of the King, however what their fate was remains unknown. (I don't mean to imply that they didn't die in the tower, they probably did but the details are unknown)
Yes, I agree. I covered the princes in the tower a bit more in part 1:
ua-cam.com/video/9cgorRq9a20/v-deo.htmlsi=VAyFrW0YTfRhw9fC
Poor Anne 😢
I love the stories that are modern enough to have radios etc because these are modern men not easily worried. My fav' is in 1968 an RAF guard was so sure he saw an intruder he opened fire, so 1968-that's a modern man this an FN assault rifle, not some superstitous yokel.
Thank you so much. I always find the modern stories interesting too. I also think how many people trained in the forces see things when on duty and possibly don’t report it. There are more stories from the Tower in relation to this for sure!
Thanks!
Danielle you are very kind. I appreciate your generosity so much and thank you so much 👻🙋♀️🤔
