I can't get over the irony of if Viserys had accepted Daemon's proposal and let the two marry, Rhaenyra's claim to the throne would have been stronger and the 'political headache' would have resolved itself immediately and the Dance of the Dragons could have been avoided. Viserys is just blinded by his dislike for Daemon's bolder tactics and Daemon's poor communication skills, gah how frustrating! I so wish Daemon hadn't called his brother weak in ep 1, if he had just bid his time and been respectful, his brother would have listened to him better. When this all goes to hell because of that mistake, my heart's going to explode...
@@anishsnair5573 Considering that this is a fictional world where this house is known for its incest relations, my personal choice doesn't really matter (I wouldn't push my daughter to marry her uncle, naturally). But if these two fictional brothers had been in better terms with each other, I think Viserys would have at least considered it (his objection came down to "You are already wed", and only after Daemon's reply he goes with his usual "You lust after my throne").
Its frankly shocking that this didn't reach 100K views far, far sooner; the editing is so well done. Underscoring Daemon and Rhaenyra both being underappreciated by Viserys to the point of being at odds with him, showing both Rhaenyra on the Dragonstone walkway and Daemon on the Iron Throne [insert the English word for that sound] back-to-back to emphasize another of their similarities, ending things with both doing what they can to protect their family (and themselves) from Otto Hightower... And this is without even mentioning the impeccable music choice. Man, I absolutely love everything about this 🔥🔥
Oh and also, the lyrics are endlessly fitting for the characters. I'd argue that it is so even when you focus on the conclusion of the story (spoilers, obviously): _There's only one last standing (bloodline)_ _Got my eyes on the ending (of the Dance)_ _There's only one crown (the united Targaryen dynasty)_ _It's got my name on it (Aegon III, Daemon & Rhaenyra's son)_ You could also throw in _"Here's to the strongest fighter // Here's to the last survivor"_ as another example of the lyrics being remarkably fitting; that is, if Daemon really does survive the Battle Above the God's Eye, 'cus The Rogue Prince is undoubtedly the MVP of the entire Dance of Dragons.
I'm glad to see that a lot of people ship Rhaenyra and Damon together too. I know it's incest but i don't really care cause that's GOT after all. Seriously they are both hot together.
