- Welcome back to the ongoing saga of Mailbag Monday
This time I've got things that are interesting, horrible, erroneous and surprising.

This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it. - Наука та технологія
An investment in more beer instead of the mini-roomba would have been my choice.

3) Mailbag
2) Teardown
1) Mailbag that leads to a teardown
I've been away from home for 2 months and the wife said there's over 30 packages waiting hahaha
I've got over 6k of those seed pixels in my Christmas lights and on the work bench! The last few thousand came from HarrisonTk as well.
Some other cool versions of those seed pixels; some sellers sell 24, 36 & 48v versions (multiple pixel lights in series for power, 4v per light). Also backup data versions (work when the previous light has stopped) and another version with a spare 4th wire so you can make icicles out of them.
They work alright outside, after a month they yellow a lot though. I haven't had a failure from weather damage yet.
Good info. Thanks for sharing.
I got 15m a few months ago as I use the non-waterproof version at Christmas in my hallway. After reading your assessment I think my plan on using these on my garage wall will be perfect.
Thanks for the info!
15:32 like how the leds reflect off the beer glass.
I see you are a man of class and taste!
OMG. That robot vacum is hilarious. I wonder if it even has a battery in it. 🤔
Great mailbag as usual!
I wonder if the robot vacuum power is disabled when the charger is connected.
I was just about to say the same thing!
This was a good episode.
Nice Brew!
The dust cover was off as well but I still dont expect it to work.
Hijack the new Peudo-roomba 😂
What are the odds that it just has a loose or never-connected wire or two? Not like we’ve seen that before.
@@markfergerson2145 Stay tuned for Friday's video - it's even more stupid of a fault
Use the camera shutter on a pwm circuit and shine a light through it, and you have a strobe light. Then you can synch your camera with a moving thing like a motor. Just a thought. With a strobe light at the right frequency you can make things like a helicopter blade look like its in slow motion or even standing still. Thats about the only use I could come up for it.
I like it. One of my coolest projects with Arduino was to take UV LEDs in a black box with a window and pulse them. I used small water pump to pump a stream of highlighter dyed water falling from a tube. With the right pulse rate on the UV LEDs you could make the water drops seem to slow, stop and go back up to the tube. The demo was a hit wherever I showed it.
That's a great idea. Thanks!
Even if it worked, that sweeper would still be useless. It just pushes the dust around the floor.
Why did you waste $10+tax on that crap.
Thank you.
I got someone else's item with my address twice in the last 2 weeks. It looks like the drop-shipping repacking to our postal service put the wrong address on it, which might explain how they lost both of my double order of a pipe fitting - doh! -.
Extra surprising
I haven't had that... yet.
What were you planning to do with tiny solenoids?
That shutter- I wonder what its original application was. Machine vision on a production line by which I mean it mechanically enables a broken light beam object detector? It can’t possibly be fast enough for any kind of photography.
I think I was watching a LookMumNoComputer video when I ordered it.
Have you wired your Christmas tree with LEDs so that next setup is just plug and done?
No, those are soldered and (mostly) weatherproofed connections.
