Great song. Thanks BBC6 music
Love it. Thanks Hamish for giving us such a beautiful song.
Love this! the boy just doesn't know how to write a bad song.
You know what you're dead right, he is gifted lyrically.
The best lyricist ever has got to be Shane Macgowan, then Marshall Mathers ..... but yeah Hamish is good 👌
This guy is like a mixture of Mr. Bean and your favorite rocker.
Craig Charles just played this.
Love it.
He needs to be huge. I've been obsessed for years and he just never fails to impress! Everything is impeccable!!
In some ways I hope he doesn't get too big.
Everyone knowing about him & his lyrical genius would somehow take away what his music means to the chosen few!
Thanks to BBC6Music for getting the word out
Beautiful nature and music.
I just bloody love his lyrics. Everyone needs some Hamish Hawk in their life. "Legs in those jeans like you were born to ride a clydesdale" brilliant.
The interesting lyricism of this fellow is most satisfying.
Such a shame Radio 2 are choosing to ignore his skills. I e-mailed them a while back about his great Mauritian Badminton Doubles Champion 1973 song , asking them to maybe give it some much deserved R2 airtime in place of more mind-numbing repeats of Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran .
No such luck!!!

Reminds me of tunes from my youth that I cared about, and so good to hear someone actually saying something worth saying!
This guy's brilliant. Droll sense of humour and intelligent lyrics. I'm 39 and feel that his work harks back to the mood and style of various eighties and nineties music, whilst being fresh and unique in its own right. I do worry that maybe younger generations won't 'get' the lyrics of Hamish Hawk or relate to this genre of music. Maybe I am underestimating younger people though?
No your not i think his lyrics are far too intelligent for the sam Smith ed sheeran George ezra type of safe lyric fans
Hamish is far superior then that and on a higher level
I'm 57 and havnt been in to band for years like I am with him/ them
Different class..
Genius. Best artist discovery over Christmas. Hopefully tours Manchester again soon as I’m late to the party.
A comment simply offered to the algorithm to help this music get where it deserves to be
Now we're talking!
another brilliant song from Hamish and his band. Saw them at The Joiners this week. Sensational live too
No-one wears a pair of trousers quite like Mr Hawk. Hat's off to you Sir, you are a Legend...
Hamish Hawk is one totally cool dude.
Absolutely love this song what a great voice
Hamish has just added another stuck song syndrome song into my head morning noon and night.... But a good way 😁
A very catchy song! Who buys a jacket from a gun maker?
Heard this on the radio just yesterday! So glad this is out. Love it!
Like the words. Like the tune. What’s not to like?
Another beautiful piece of music Hamish and co! Gonna be wearing out that play button!
Saw him at Moles in Bath this year selling his own merch after the gig what the fuck !!!! lovely guy should be massive the bastard son of curtis/cocker/and the smiths but lyrically far better looking forward to the Thekla in Feb
His Thekla gig last week was so good!!
Another banging tune from an inspirational lyricist thank you hamish
This guy pleases my ears so much!
Magical
💵
so beautiful as usual, please lyric, must share everywhere
Awesome
Im in my early teens and someone i know got me into thos guy im seeing him next year
Classic
See you at DeBarras
Good effort. A bit too humorous for my taste.
Boring.
Still lyrically superior to anything Ed bleedin' Sheeran comes out with!
It's not your fault. We are all thinking about you.
@@tommycoopersmagiccarpetwea817 I hate Ed Sheeran but even that is pushing it.
Ginger nuts is for the poor unfortunate unsuspecting media-manipulated masses who , alas, don't know any better.
Hamish Hawk isn't!
Well this was a right load of 💩 😂😂
How long did you listen to it for you decide? 😅
